I like having a membership here. However I come to get my cardio in by playing basketball. Recently the past 4 times I have been there I have been kicked off the court in favor of fitness classes taking up the ENTIRE gym floor. I can understand half the court, but scheduling 2 classes simultaneously is a little ridiculous.

Google said this location would be open until 6:00PM on Saturday. After driving from New Castle to use the facility, I arrived at 4:47PM. Checked in (front desk didnt alert me they were closing) and proceeded to enter the pool area. I had an employee walk in and tell me the facility was closing in 2 minutes (5:00 PM) Therefore, I wasted my time and gas and was given no sympathy by the staff. All they said is well look into it. Fantastic service. To top it off, they were mocking me at the front desk while gossiping amongst themselves. My fiance overheard that whilst walking out.

Greenfield is starting to ramp up cross fit equipmt on one of the courts. This is forcing pickleballers and basket ballers to share a court which you cannot do. Not liking the direction. Time to see if New Palenstine locale is any better.

Been a member for decades. The staff are not pushy, but have the perfect suggestions for every level of fitness. Facilities are great.

Its a nice place, however the reduced hours in the evenings and on weekends is a bit frustrating.

Kara Hackleman truly helped me recover from joint tightness in my hip which was causing severe leg pain. I appreciate her skills and knowledge in meeting my current needs without aggravating--and even soothing--other issues resulting from cancer treatment. I look forward to her helping me maintain better mobility (and overall quality of life) in the future.

I really like this place. The employees are fantastic, great personalities. Would recommend it to anyone.

The gym itself is nice, clean, and friendly. The equipment is new and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They offer many classes and services (for extra fees of course) that are pretty good. Although, their hours are absolutely the most inconvenient they could possibly be. They close even earlier (1PM) on holidays like Memorial, Labor Day, and other bank holidays. These are days I have off work as many people do and want to play basketball with my friends just for them to close extra early on top of their hours already being inconvenient.The reason I gave one star is because their contracts will trap you and they make it as difficult as possible to cancel your membership. After a year they will auto renew your contract for another year of which you cannot cancel unless you 1) Move 25 miles away or 2) have a doctors note saying you cannot safely exercise. This is in the contract you sign when you first sign up, but they do not make it verbally clear. This may be a common gym contract practice, but it is not necessary and shows what money grabbing culture they have. Lifetime fitness for example, you can cancel at any time and only have to pay for 1 more month after you cancel. This is an honest and honorable contract in my opinion. Their company philosophy (Lifetimes) is that they do not want people to pay for something they do not use and understand life circumstances change and want to make it easier to stop if necessary. This is an example Hancock Fitness could learn from.Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else to workout.

I love all the equipment and classes they have to offer. A plus is the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna ❤️ It’s like having your own personal spa retreat 😁

Quality equipment throughout

People up front are so friendly. Instructors are great. They know what they are doing and make things to fit each person. I have had the same trainer for 4 years. Derek is the best. He has stayed with me and supported me through a lot of health issues. The other trainers are very supportive.

The last time I visited Hancock Wellness Center was great! I did strength training and some cardio. I had a few questions about my new training program and Abby was very helpful to me.

Ive always felt lost in the gym but Kristen has helped me to navigate the different programs and services available making my experience at Hancock wellness center not just enjoyable but successful. Between referring me to Kara for a tape while I was pregnant to different programs to help me maintain my fitness through out my pregnancy and of course not having to worry about my oldest in between while Im there as I know hes in excellent hands at the jungle club!

I really enjoy water aerobics at Hancock Wellness Center. The teachers are great and caring. The other classes I have attended have been good also.

Love, Love, Love the Zumba classes!! The instructors are very ENERGETIC & KNOW their STUFF!! Very clean facility. Friendly & knowledgeable staff! A fun place to work out with family and friends!!

I really enjoy this facility and the people who work there. They have new equipment and the keys that keep track of your workouts for you. If you sign up be sure to take advantage of the body assessment. I love that they created workouts for me and now I have a way to track my progress.

This place is very pushy to get membership/contract. When we encountered problems with being able to use facility and to make payments, they absolutely refused to allow us to exit contract. Once it is up we will NOT renew.

Great atmosphere.Love spending my time here, all machines seem to be well maintained and clean.

The last 3 weeks the sauna, steam room. Not working right . You would think the maintenance Dept. would have it fixed by now . It should be an easy fix if they can’t fix it hire someone that knows what they are doing to fix it . But they do have an outstanding STAFF :)! Love seeing and talking to all of them !

Super clean, helpful staff, great variety of equipment

I would like to start on a good note saying that this is a clean facility and nice environment. But I have NOT had a good experience here. I am not one to write reviews, but after my experience, I feel the need to share. When I initially signed my contract, I was told that I could cancel at anytime with a $50 cancellation fee. A few months later, I called to cancel my contract only to find out that I am not able to cancel my contract without 1) moving 25 miles or more away or 2) a doctors note saying that I can no longer exercise. Even though this was explained in the contract that I did not read, it was not orally explained to me at the time of signing up. Make sure you are aware of this before you get stuck in this money trap!!!!!! Also make sure you are aware that you can never downgrade your contract. You may only upgrade.

The HWC is conveniently located just off #9 on New Road; the spacious building is well-maintained and well-lighted. Staff is pleasantly professional, ready to assist but not overpoweringly present -- one can take a moment to fiddle with the equipment or simply rest without someone racing over to inquire if everythings OK.The clientele ranges from young athletes to families with kids in tow, to elderly patients in rehab: truly a reflection of the population of this facilitys small city location. Good manners and soft voices prevail.From personal experience, I recommend the large heated pool, the Tai Chi classes and the Journey to Wellness program. I have friends who enjoy yoga and Zumba classes. And there are many more on offer, time and space are allocated for the needs of special populations, e.g. Rock Steady boxing for people battling Parkinsons. Money invested in a membership in the Hancock Wellness Center is well spent.

This place is equipped with the latest machines with high technology and the Trainers are very cordial as well as professional.

The Technogym equipment is state of the art, the staff is super friendly, and theres something for everyone here!

I never heard of this place until I went to my doctor & got a prescription membership for 60days. So far its been a very nice & updated facility with very friendly & helpful staff.

Nice place for physical therapy

Staff seems to think they are better than their customers. I paid a 3yr membership and then continued for another year after that had to move so only wife could go they refused to compromise at all whether it was end contract that apparently automatically renews every 3yrs I thought I had just been paying month to month and had been asked whether I was signing new contract by an employee. I said no thinking I was not under contract. My wife had signed contract not me. Jan. 15 2019 after I asked them to stop auto withdraw they did it anyways. This place is all about money they could careless if your healthy or your situation. Dont go here unless you want a neverending 100dollar a month payment you cant get out of. Dont believe anything these very rude people say to you!

Steam room is never cleaned, paint is pealing in all locations..... sauna has greasy sweat stains and is just gross.... hot tub jets suck and on top of that dont produce normal bubbles..... place stinks and Im paying for this????

I have been involved with the Hancock Wellness Center in Greenfield for over 6 years and have nothing, but positive things to say. The remodel in Greenfield is absolutely top notch!

I have not been able to utilize the facility due to price and contract length but everything I hear about the facility itself and the employees is positive, with the exception of cost and contracts as I mentioned previously.

I love this gym. I wish it was 24/7.

My wife and I have been members of the HWC for 4 years. We have used the services of the massage therapy, the personal trainers, the dietitians and various group classes. My wifes favorite group classes are the Zumba Gold and the Pilates. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We both enjoy massages monthly with Kara Hackelman. Karas massages help to keep these old bodies moving :) The recent renovations are beautiful. Occasionally we report when repairs are needed to equipment or the facilities and the staff has always been responsive.

Great family environment to stay fit and healthy! Love the staff!!

Writing this from work, since suggestion box has been taken awayGood move???Have been a member for over 4 years and in that time have seen the facility go from clean and all amenities working to filthy locker rooms, all steam rooms plus hot tub and even pool not working for weeks at a time (new boiler didnt work). One would think that the Hospital wouldTake better care of this facility since it is a reflection of the Hospital?FYI, Right now you have a rubber mat in the steam room that is coveringUp a gaping hole where the drain is supposed to be that is not only a tripping hazard but is also TOXIC with the chemicals that is emittedBy the rubber heating up and in such a small space (please consult a pulmonologist on your staff)I dont know who cleans this facility but I think that they should be re-trained as to what constitutes CLEAN are they are understaffed? Maybe the hospital admin. needsto visit the facility in question (surprise visit) to see just what is going onthen you might understand what your Clients are saying to them selvesbut not out loud. Your Clients want and deserve a clean place to comeplus steam rooms and hot tubs that always are working.I have no complaints about the staff(except the cleaning crew THEY NEED HELP)People are talking and alot are questioning what they are paying for??

Great variety of group fitness classes and instructors.

Hours are heinous and they know it. It is an executive decision based in finiaces. They cater to rehabilitation and classes for people 40+, that is where the money is at. They are the best facility in town and you get what you pay for. If you can deal with the disrespectful hours, the clear money hungry corporation hiding behind every interaction and the dull sense that maybe you should be making more of an impact on the world instead of just writing a wierd review of a Wellness Center on Google, well you will love this MF place. #transhumanism

My moms gym is the best place!

Since my for was badly injured, my doctor referred me there. The staff is friendly and I like my physical therapist. To join is a little expensive though.

So I think this facility finally got rid of the condescending dudes that work here which is nice. I cant speak to the cleanliness of the womens lockerroom but there have been urinal pads all over the mens lockerroom for at least three months... those greenfield high schoolers work I suspect. Really the mens lockerroom and spa area need to be cleaned in depth and more regularly. Beyond that this place has awful hours for how much more it costs than planet fitness. This place only makes it by because they have a nice facility.
