Sounds like a scam. They sent a bill for an er visit that I have no idea how they are involved with. And they marked it final notice when they hadnt sent any previous notices.Makes me think that some fake doctors office is tricking people into paying them.

Received a bill for my wifes ER visit over three months after her visit. I paid it same day I received it in the mail. Received a debt collections notice less than three weeks from the date it was paid. Called their office several times, only to be sent to voicemail. When I finally got a person to answer, they were very rude and would not tell me anything about whether or not the account was paid for or not. Very difficult to get any helpful response, but eventually they confirmed it was paid, though they wouldnt explain why I was sent a collections notice or why I didnt receive the bill until after three months.They also called my wife the same day the notice came in the mail, AND ASKED FOR PAYMENT WITHOUT TELLING WHO THEY WERE OR WHAT THEY PAYMENT WAS IN REGARDS TO!

$871.00 billed for a supervising ER doctor that LITERALLY spent 45 SECONDS with my son (at the end of our emergency visit) to allow us to leave. oh, he offered my son a slushie - I guess that makes it all better. Spectrum Health/ DeVos Childrens Hospital should be ashamed to work with this unethical company.

Good luck getting hold of someone on the phone. The only option is to leave a message. I purposefully only left my name and number. I have a bill that Im trying to pay and the address is for a doctors office in Chicago. Im in Michigan, the same area of the ER I was seen. Not going to send payment there. A couple hours later, I received a call back from Gabby and she took care of my bill and contacted the collection agency to have it listed paid in full. I was leery at first but ended up pleasantly surprised. Bill is paid and the receipt was emailed to me while we were still on the phone. Gabby rocks!!

I am surprised how high their rating is. I you want your bill lowered to a reasonable amount you sent a letter stating you should have a lower bill. They dont respond to the polite letters, they throw them in the garbage or they just cant read. Going on 5 months now.

Received a bill that says ECS Western Michigan on it like Im supposed to know what that means. Good thing Google is around to help out.Then I read this bill to see it was $800 to get less than 10 minutes with a doctor... and to top it off, you better be ready with the money because you get 30 days before collections is looking for you.

Terrible. I went to DeVos Childrens hospital when my 6 week old baby had RSV DeVos is in network with my insurance company. Well that particular Dr that saw my daughter was not in network with my insurance. Now we are left with $700 bill and they are unwilling to work with us. I cant help in an emergency situation who sees my daughter. They need to accept all the insurances at the hospitals they choose to work with accept. I will now be screening every Dr that comes into my room when I am at Spectrum Health and any ECS physician will not be allowed to touch us.

If I could give this company a negative star review I would do it with out thinking twice. We received a bill in the mail from the ER. You can’t speak with anyone, you have to leave a message and you continually get the same run around. Now my bill in collections because they didn’t send it through my insurance company. Ridiculous joke of a company, I refuse to go to any Hospital that deals with this company. I’m disgusted.

I have been dealing with a $50 bill that they sent to collections without ever being notified about it. The only way I found out about it was I saw it on my credit report! Ive been trying for a month now to get someone on the phone bc my current insurance will take care of it, but they wont call me back!

I went to the Spectrum Health emergency room and they billed an old insurance carrier saying I owed almost $400. When I contacted them I gave them my current insurance that Spectrum health had anyway but failed to to give it to Emergency care specialists. When it was billed again with the correct amount I was sent one notice then sent to collections over a $30 bill. If I had no intention on paying anything I would of never had called in the first place. If you want to avoid these people you need to avoid Spectrum health. These are there doctors they contract out to for emergency room services.

Cant get a bill. We moved in 2016 and they cant get our address changed. I cant submit a bill to secondary insurance until I get a bill and I cant give them an account # if I dont have the bill.

Received a text message about a bill I never received. This is a borderline scam company that needs to be investigated. The text message claims they sent a bill, but that claim is untrue. Waited on the phone for over 15 minutes to try to discuss this claim.

If I could rate them 0/5 I would!I had a bill for $500 dollars..they called me once to get a payment..never got any bills from them after that...they sent me to collections and I reached out to them and they said it was my responsibility to remember to pay...Dont you guys have a billing specialist that would send out letters if you guys wanted our money...instead you’re going to send me to a bill collector and ruin my credit :) Thank you so much for no calls back after the number of voicemails I have left regarding this situation!

Terrible experience with this company. I had to visit the ER and received multiple bills to my current address but ECS decided to send the bill to my old address, to their credit I had only be at my new address FOR 4 YEARS!!!! Why could everyone else get billing correct. Then to compound it they sent it to collections who tried contacting... you guessed it my old address and phone because thats what ECS gave them. Collections puts this on my credit report and I didt see it until I try to apply for a home loan, credit destroyed and this is the only negative thing on the report. Even better Ive left 10+ messages for Lisa Hayes @ ECS to try to figure out how this happened and she has chosen not to call back.

Ive been calling for over 8 months with my updated insurance, and every time I call they said we didnt have that info in our system, we will bill insurance and get an updated bill. Each and every month when I get a bill I have to call back again because they STILL havent billed insurance! Now I get a final notice saying theyre sending me to collections for a bill thats almost a year that they STILL wont send to insurance!

Awful awful awful. Ive been dealing with their billing department for 3 months to resolve their errors. I get multiple bills for statements Ive already paid and wrong amounts.

Awful - incomplete work on ED visit. Stitches were shoddy, have nerve damage and they never dealt with anything beyond stitch and shove out the door. Then came billing - traveling so this is out of insurance - they are charging over double what my insurance company says is normal and 3rd party reviewed. Wont negotiate -- $529 for 20 min and four stitches, just for the Dr -- the hospital bill is separate.
