Let it be known that if I could give ZERO stars, I would. From what Ive read in other reviews on this page, this is not an isolated incident. I do not take writing negative reviews lightly- they only come from me when theyve been earned. Youd come here to do this for your friend too if your experience was as terrible as hers. Two words: careless; insensitive. My good friend went into the clinic to get a consultation for the chronic pain she has been dealing with for years. She was very excited about the appointment because she has tried countless remedies and spent all she can afford trying to solve her pain. She was willing to wait a month for the appointment if it meant finally getting a solution. At the very least, she needed someone to hear her and listen to her experience at this level of medical pain specialization.I guess that was too much to ask for! When she arrived at the clinic, after just five minutes with the nurse, she was told that her pain was being imagined and there was nothing they could do since it was all in her head. The nurse was eager to get her out of the room and move on to the next patient. She did not listen to what my friend had to say about her pain or her medical history. She was dismissed in tears. She felt as though she did not matter, and worse, she felt like she would never be able to find help, that she was a waste of the clinics time, and that she did not matter. This clinic downplays womens pain. This clinic does not take women seriously.Additionally, customer service is unprofessional and unhelpful. The office manager belittled and disrespected her when she called to inquire about the disappointing consultation saying: and just what do you expect and hope to happen after we end this phone call today?ALL SHE WANTS IS TO BE IN LESS PAIN! You would think that a PAIN CLINIC would be more in tune to that and more willing to help, less concerned with dealing with customers and more concerned with helping them.Someone needs to tell that office manager to work on her attitude and her customer service skills. Hey lady. If youre reading this, check the attitude. Have some integrity. Be a professional.Monitor her until she can wear her head properly on her shoulders or find someone with a better customer service and leadership background. I bet if you ask the people working below her, they would say the same thing in a heartbeat. Good leaders do not speak to anyone like that.I do not care how busy your day or how stressful your week, you do not speak to customers the way my friend was spoken to especially when they are coming to your clinic for help.Bottom line: DO NOT come here for your pain unless you want to add emotional pain on top of it.

The rating above applies only to MPCs policies and/or practices during the Carno 19 Pandemic.Given the extraordinary circumstances the world..this country are facing due to the pandemic of Carno 19, is it possible that MPC has not advocated for their patients and staff by pushing back on the Federal government/DEA on their regulatory rules/laws on certain aspectsof chronic pain management?Given the never before drastic actions our government is taking to flatten the curve on the spread of this virus is it possible regulations on things like 90 day check-ups for scrip renewals cant be TEMPORARILY relaxed so that your patients battling already chronic poor health arent forced to subject themselves to a waiting room full of other sick vulberable patients? What about your professionals that are exposed to perhaps hundreds per day?Has MPC and other practices in your field individually, or collectively, advocated for their patients and staff pre-emptively, vigorously and directly with these regulatory agencies on behalf of their vulnerable patients? You direct your patients to your portal, where are your communications to patients explaining your efforts and advocacy to address this? I hope my interpretation of MPCs rigidity in enforcing regulations w/o pushing back on those regulations is incorrect, but how would patients know what youre doing? This is important to your patients including offering insight into MPCs priorities and competence in the face of crisis where the welfare of patients and staff are concerned.

I love the entire staff here, especially dr. Willard. Dr. Willard cares very much about his patients and literally will not give up until he feels he has helped you tremendously. I feel the same way about the nurses, the physical therapist, and the front desk people are awesome as well. I would recommend and have recommended several people to come here when they truly need help with a chronic pain issue. The entire office is very professional and organized, with people who truly care about their patients. I would say I have had nothing but very good experiences here.

This place is horrible. This is my first appointment. I was told to arrive at least 30 minutes before my appointment and that it would be a 2 hour appointment. They said bring a driver with you and that the driver has to stay and wait, they are not able to leave. So, Im sitting here waiting in the room for the doctor to come....over an hour so far. Why??? If you cant see me or if you are booked ..super booked why did you schedule an appointment with me? My time is valuable. So, Im just sitting here waiting for the doctor. The medical assist or nurse, whoever they are have been in the room several times with the same story, hes running a little behind. They have so much business, which is a good thing, but they cant keep it. Very disappointed in my first visit. Lets see how future visits go.

My daughter attends this clinic,I am not confident with their care as such. The Dr.was quick in the interview and rather vague in description as to the details of the pain relief procudure. Also upon returning to the waiting room i found a dead BUG (resting in peace) on the window ledge. The secretary did take care of it when told, but she didnt use gloves to dispose of it! She also said they have had trouble with their cleaning crew and this was no Surprise! Also ,the blinds and window ledges in the patient rooms need a good Dusting! It makes one wonder how clean the facility is , if the little things are Overlooked!!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Willard ,for my left shoulder for over 2yrs. I feel I get more infor out of the nurses than he wants to give me. I feel that his fast to go generic answers have been practice , with others so often that his answers come out rude, with no compassion.!!! I have heard him talk about me in the hall, the door was left open ,,, as if I was wasting his time, he had told about his own back pain ,(I never ask , him how hes doing) my personal thoughts were go see a doctor !! I finally was sent to a back surgeon , who sent me to a arm specialist, I so agree with the rest of the others with the past money due , cause I am warring you if one owns ,they will cancel you , till at a later date. One last thing keep your receipts cause they tryed to tell me that I miss a appointment no call, no show and now I am going to pay more, till I went to my car which I had the last recite and proved to them that I was right and they were wrong , there just running a business and no one knows what the right hand is doing for the left. I just want to get better. Not stay the same in pain

Treatment didnt last long. Charge way to much. $185 for a ten min nurse consultation. $200 for one shot then $400 for same second shot. Total bill for one visit: $900. Place is a cash cow for these doctors and nurses who have no honor or intregrity. Value money over patient well being and are eager to stick you with shots. Wont be going back.

First of all, people need to remember that this office is not a diagnostic office- rather, you are sent here by another doctor because he/she has exhausted all other options. They are here to treat your pain. I am treated with respect from the minute I enter the door until the minute I leave the office. Yes, now and then you may have a short wait or meet the staff member who may not be as friendly as you would have hoped. Things happen- emergencies arise. I find the doctors and nurses/techs to be nothing but professional, and usually very kind and considerate. I have been coming to this office for almost two years. I loved Dr. Mankoff and now I see Dr. Powell. He is simply the best. Trish and Sally are terrific. I NEVER feel hurried and never have I felt things have not been well explained. The nurses in the “injection” room are wonderful and the staff in the “recovery” area is totally on top of things. I have had no difficulty renewing my meds. They are always on top of it. Compared to what I went through with my surgeon’s office- there are no words. And they understand the difference between addiction and dependence. There are some of us that will need to learn to live with the hand we have been dealt. And thanks to Dr. Mankoff, Dr. Powell, Trish and the rest of the staff, I am able to live, not just survive. Meds are ordered and renewed promptly, phone calls are returned promptly, appointments are made in good time- I seldom have to even check to see if something has been done. I will say I usually take the earliest appointment possible as we all know things happen and it is possible to get slightly off schedule. My only criticism is that some of the rooms are terribly small without any windows. Makes me REALLY claustrophobic. Only occasionally have I had to wait a little while for the injection room to open up. So I just open the door, as that allows for a little circulation of fresher air. Oh- and maybe a warm blanket instead of a cold sheet after injections. I would highly recommend.

Dr Roug and his staff are excellent. The people that schedule and work the front desk are rude and treat people like they are just another number. It’s nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone or to call you back to make an appointment. The doctor and his staff are aware of this, but have no power to change what is wrong. We have filled out numerous surveys, which is mandatory before every visit, but nothing changes. Doctor Roug and his staff work for Michigan Pain Consultants, so there is not much they can do to effect change. When my husband is finally able to get in to see Doctor Roug, he is treated well by his staff, and he gets significant relief from his injections. Dr Roug is are only reason for not leaving Michigan Pain Consultants.

My mom has been a patient here for almost 20 years. Im appalled with how they treat her. If this was any other business they would not survive but because people depend on it the office takes advantage of the situation. Horrible customer service and poorly managed office. My mom waited over an hour (1.5) to see Dr. Winston and when she brought it to their attention, the office manager told my mom that should be prepared to wait 3 hours. 3 hours!! I would advise for anybody looking to not consider this place. This hasnt been an isolated occurrence.

Have been patient for 7 years and have received excellent care from Dr. Mankoff, his PAs and nursing staff. Also, have been treated with respect and in timely fashion from reception staff. Have always got right in on appointment time or earlier, along with no wait time when in exam room. Behavioral specialist are excellent also. What i particularly like is they do listen to what has and has not worked for me and my goals to achieve pain relief through not only medication, treatments, but natural techniques.

Didnt get past the new patient scheduling, they were extremely rude and treated my mother like she was completely incompetent and scheduled her out to the end of January 2019, it is october 31 2018. I had to call them back for her to let them know how extremely rude they are, then cancelled her appointment because we found her a clinic somewhere else where the people seem to about their patients rather then money, after she was told by this clinic that there are no other pain clinic. If the scheduling staff is rude and abbrasive, that speaks volumes about the office overall to us.

Staff was rude, told at least 3 people I was extremely nervous to be there for an injection and only waited 1 minute after the sedative to start injections. I never even felt the effects of the sedative. Nurses were more attentive to other people in recovery around me. Felt very uncomfortable the whole time and on top of everything they refused to refill any of my prescriptions. Not satisfied
