Changed eye doctors due to the rude customer service from where I was going. Found a coupon to use at JC Penny so I booked an appt. Shannon assisted me while I figuged out all my options regarding glasses and contacts. I was very impressed with the care I was given not just the discounts which I received. Shannon made me feel like an old friend coming in. Cathy and Amanda also were so friendly and helpful when Shannon was handling other clients. And Dr. Castro was so awesome also. Sure there may be at least a dozen places closer to me, but I just love my new eye care professionals.

After 3 weeks and no call I called and they said they did not have right phone # and had tried calling but seems strange since I have had account for many years with them. Picked up glasses and the right lens kept falling out and they had to send back. I was told they would put a rush but when I checked today after a week still another week to ship after they checked with their manufacturer.

The staff is overall nice, but very incompetent aside from the manager. Their computer system is ancient and beyond slow. It took a month and a half to get my contacts delivered!!! And no one called me when they arrived!! Completely unacceptable. Also if you go in and they are busy they will literally ignore you until theyre done helping everyone else. Not even a hello we will be with you soon comment. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and will be recommending the same to my family and friends.

Stay away unless you want to get ripped off.My wife bought frames but never tried the ones on that she bought before we went on vacation. We returned from vacation this week and tried to return in the original package that was unopened.The store clerk was rude and said the company policy is that returns must be within 24 hours. nothing on the receipt says anything about this.Pennies cant help you because private store inside Pennies.

I received great service from all the staff! They were polite, patient, kind and helpful. The eye Dr. was courteous and quick. I had an issue with one of my lens due to my astigmatism. I agreed to accept a corrective lens but could not get used to them after a week so I went back and everyone was concerned and helpful, the Dr. resolved my issue and ordered a different lens at my request. I even got great help when ordering colored contacts. Im sad to see the negative reviews because I had such a great experience.

My husband and I have been using this Nationwide Vision for at least 5 years. We love the staff. Shannon and Kathy are so knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Always available to answer calls and questions. I have referred many people to them and will continue to do so. As a diabetic I trust them with my sight.

Have been going to this location for years to get my daughters glasses and have always had wonderful service. They have many frames to choose from and great selection for kids. I love Shannon! She is so knowledgable and helpful. She helps us get the best discounts between sales or insurance and can adjust the glasses to fit perfect on my daughters face. These ladies are always friendly and so attentive. We will keep coming back to see Shannon!

The staff at JCPenny Optical at Arrowhead are excellent. Shannon and Yvonne helped me out tremendously. Very knowledgeable about eyes, frames and the best cost for you. They are always having sales. The whole staff is always looking out for the customer. I would recommend this store to anyone wanting FANTASTIC customer service and a store who answers the phone.

I brought my daughter in for her eye exam and was able to get an appointment the same day! The opticians were super friendly and helpful, especially Amanda. She helped my picky daughter find frames in no time that she absolutely loves, which is a miracle!! Plus she got us a great deal with the kids sale and saved us a lot of money! The whole staff made this a headache free, even enjoyable experience!!! I will be referring the whole family to come here!

Was treated terrible!! Manager SHANNON BAIRD was completely rude! They broke my glasses during the adjustment and the manager was completely unapologetic and scolded me that it was my fault for buying cheap frames! She did this in front of a few other customers!!It was very embarrassing

Avoid at all costs. What a farce. We went here to get my husband new glasses and sunglasses. Crap selection of frames for either men or women.The glasses arrived okay, but the prescription in the sunglasses was wrong. Ordered new lenses, WRONG AGAIN. Not only that, but when we went to pick them up they tried to hand us two lenses in a plastic bag, no frames. What did they think we were going to do with that?! More than a month had passed by now. We informed them that we were moving out of town in 10 days and by now we need a rush put on the order. We were PROMISED that they would be in within the week. A week came and went. 10 days came and went. Still no sunglasses. 2 weeks later they finally arrived. Thanks for putting a rush on that order, guys. Well by now we are 4 states away and need the sunglasses shipped to a JCP near us. Ok, theyll do that, but were completely unwilling to rush the shipment in any way. Now not only will he have been waiting almost 2 months for his sunglasses, but will have to drive nearly 80 miles round trip to pick them up and HOPE that the prescription is right this time.Everybody we dealt with through this whole ordeal was pleasant, though few of them even pretended to genuinely care. Many made promises they clearly were unable to keep, which in effect means that they were LYING to our faces.Time is money and gas is money. As far as Im concerned after all of this ridiculous running around these sunglasses have cost us twice as much as the already astronomical amount on the receipt. Not to mention all of the stress and inconvenience. When people order glasses its usually because they NEED them in a timely manner, and dont have the luxury of waiting eternally for them or driving around endlessly trying to retrieve them.We should have demanded a refund and gone elsewhere, but who could have foreseen that a pair of glasses - pretty much THE ONLY THING THEY DO - would be such an issue? If youre considering going here then DONT. Run. ANYWHERE else.

Why wont I go anywhere else for my corrective lense needs? Because the staff here are simply so great, so caring, so above and beyond in customer/patient care.So Id broken my glasses frames...while sitting on the floor, I removed them and set them down on the rug. I got up, and before realizing it, I stepped on them. In one fell swoop, punctured my heal, popped one lense out and bent my frames. I promptly took my (fairly new) frames down to the store. Shannon B (the technician who has helped me since day one) quickly reinstalled the lense and adjusted my mangled frames. I was very grateful...I thought for sure my frames were done for, and I would need to buy a new set that same day. Months later, this frame did finally break, but because the frames were still under warranty, I was able to replace them for very little out of pocket.Over the last 3+ yrs, Ive had to replace nose pads, get frames adjusted, and replace the frames once more. Each time, though I felt a little sheepish (for my own absentminded clumsiness) Shannon has always been SO kind and understanding...providing friendly, quick, cheep, often even FREE repairs!Today, she replaced my nosepads (yet again) and readjusted my frames, too. I will definitely be back in March for a brand new set of glasses, because every time I leave this store, I am 100% happy and know I have gotten such a great value!Shannon B, thank you for your personalized, skilled, warm attention. Very poor experience. At the suggestion of the person attending me I bought a very expensive pair of progressive glasses. I was told by the salesperson (in the presence of my wife) I could take 30 days to try them out and get used to them. If I could not adjust within that time they could be returned for a full refund. For a variety of reasons I was unable to adjust and brought them back within the trial period. I was denied a refund by the manager on the grounds that such glasses were custom order glasses (which they were not--standard prescription and frames from the stores inventory) and should have been returned within 24 hours to obtain a refund. I was told it was printed on my receipt. However, the receipt in full and what was printed on it was never shown to me before signing my charge. Instead, I was asked to sign in a window on an electronic device which recorded my signature and then printed a receipt. The receipt, before I saw it, was folded and stapled in such a way to other paperwork I was given that the terms printed on it were neither visible nor called to my attention. Had I been told in the first place the glasses were non returnable or returnable for dissatisfaction only within 24 hours, I never would have purchased them! The salesperson had even explained that many people have difficulty adjusting to progressives (or are unable to adjust at all) and for that reason the store has a 30 day refund policy covering them.Unfortunately, this optical facility is not run by Penney. It is a franchisee over which Penney is apparently unable to exercise any control as explained to me when I asked Penney management to intervene in the dispute. In short, youd do well to buy your glasses, elsewhere, at a store which will honor what their employee tells you even if their employee makes a mistake. And, Penney would do well to disenfranchise any company running their optical store in a way that angers customers sufficiently to have ill feelings spill over into their desire to deal further with Penney as a store.

Worst service ever!!! waited more than 2 weeks for a pair of glasses only to be told they were out of stock. I was the one calling them , ladies who work here are rude and just pass the ball around.The lady who helped me saw how upset I was so she told me she would throw in some sunglasses (prescribed) for no additional cost. I waited over a month and never got anything ! On top of everything they took their sweet time to reimburse me. I went to Wal-Mart I got my DKNY prescribed glasses and my Ray Ban sunglasses in less than 2 weeks and for much less than jcp . Avoid a bad experience and dont go to jcp any other place will be better.

Showed up at 4:10 pm on Sunday and they were closed, even thought their posted hours say open until 5 and I had talked to someone less than an hour before I showed up!!
