I am currently a resident at Victoria gardens frisco. I have received the best care that could be expected. The staff is wonderful and treats all patients with dignity and respect. The Director is wonderful and always makes time to visit with the residents on a daily basis. T.J. is the nutritionist and takes great care to make sure residents get what they need. I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing nursing care.

I am currently in rehab here. They are simply wonderful! During the great freeze they kept everything running and us warm. A doc from Baylor sees me every other day and I get PT daily. The food is good ànd on time. I cant think of anything to improve!

My husband was there for 4 months. Never got in to see him because of Covid. No receptionist and no one ever answers the phone. My husband fell many times there. When I transferred him to another facility, I got back 1/3 of his clothing. I was not happy at all with this facility.

This facility is amazing! My father was here for a short rehab stay and he loved it. The nurses kept us informed and were very caring. The management were very open and would always be there if I needed anything. Thank you Victoria Gardens Team for all that you do!

My brother has been in VG of FRISCO for 6 years. There has been some challenging time’s especially with Covid, but the Administration will do all they can to help if you let them know. Randi, Peaches, Valerie, Taylor , Shaun, Ann Stephanie , and Chris is the head man of the facility he is awesome and has always been there for our family. Cindy (DON ) thanks guys I really appreciate everything.

My wife has been there since May of 2020. I am very disappointed in several aspects of care she is receiving. After painstaking requests, I was provided with a phone directory and some staff email addresses. Nevertheless, in general I have found communication to be sorely lacking. For example, I recently emailed the person whom I thought was the D.O.N, only to find out that she had retired four months ago. There is no newsletters (to my knowledge) or dissemination of information regarding important changes (e.g., changes in staff). With a few exceptions, emails are either not replied to or it may take several days. Voicemails left on direct lines are seldom acknowledged. On several occasions, ORDERS FROM DOCTORS OUTSIDE THE FACILITY WERE NOT EXECUTED. VGs parent company, Abri, is no better. The zip code is wrong on the Abri/VG Web site (shown as 75025--i.e., Plano--instead of 75035-2972). When you call Abri you get 5 prompt choices. I called to report the zip code error, selecting a different prompt each time and all five went to voicemail and none was appropriate to what I was calling for. This is just a microcosm of how disjointed things are. I HAVE encountered folks at VG who are helpful to the best of their ability. I have had others who have answered VGs main # in English that is totally unintelligible, including their name (if they even provide it). They dont have a receptionist. Whoever happens to be near the phone when it rings (somewhere in the lobby, I think), answers it. Its completely random. COVID has exasperated the situation and I appreciate the strain this must be putting on the staff with the building being locked down--Ive never been inside!--but my contention is that not being able to be physically there to advocate makes good phone and email communication that much more paramount. I can only imagine how challenging day-to-day work in such an environment is (even under normal circumstances), let alone with COVID and I do appreciate all that you, the staff, do! I just needed to voice (and vent) where I feel there is a need for improvement. I just need to be empowered to see that my wife gets the best care that is available to her. Thanks for reading.

We struggled to find the right place for my mother-in-law. She experiences some behavioral and emotional difficulties due to dementia, but is otherwise pretty high functioning. The memory care lockdown at a different facility made her miserable. Victoria Gardens has been an answer to prayer. The staff is patient and helpful. My mother-in-law is safe but also given a good bit of freedom. Both her doctor and her psychiatrist do rounds there weekly.

My dad a first timer was left alone alot confused and bored and said food was horrible.. He has denentia and a fall risk. Few hrs ago, got call from his nurse and said he fell hit his head. Thats it . No follow up .I waited nd now 3 am .. Im livid. My parent treated with no regard or concern. Also informed their is Covid there after I dropped him off. They kept that private too.. I will not be the daughter thats sits by and says nothing to them about updating daily info about your loved one.. my heart hurts as this was his first ever away from me for respite care. ALL I ASKED WAS WATCH HIM CAREFULLY AND CLOSELY AND BE KIND .

My father was here for the end of his life and I could not have asked for a more loving and caring staff. The nurses and aides were wonderful to everyone from beginning to end, and made the process so much easier. I was at peace and knew my father was well cared for when I could not be there. I cannot thank them enough for the compassion they show each day.

Victoria Gardens of Frisco has been a God-Send for my mother-in-law. She came in over medicated, bed-ridden and basically lifeless. She had been confined to her room/bed, watching cartoons for over 2 years. Within weeks, hard work and a dedicated staff have her up, vibrant, full of energy and enjoying life as it should be. All the staff have been very supportive and extremely caring. Issues are quickly resolved. It has been a wonderful experience from the beginning.

My childs school participated in an activity at this nursing home. I have been in nursing homes before and expected to see sad smelly old people but I was very surprised when I walked in. The people were happy and the staff was happy and laughing with the people who lived their. They were singing and dancing along with the patients and it was great. Family members were taking pictures and you could tell that it was real and not just for show because we were their. Great to see this!!

Im so glad we chose to have my husband at Victoria Gardens of Frisco.EVERYONE was so caring and accommodating towards my husband, myself and our little daughters.Brittany in admissions was super caring and loving and even gave me her personal cell #. Jared is an amazing nurse and is always on it. I always knew that my husband was in good hands with him.Even the cafeteria staff was amazing and Stephanie was super sweet and caring. She would even have special lunches/dinners and snacks for us and my girls. The Dr that saw my husband is also very caring and empathetic.I’m very glad that my husband is back home but I will never regret my decision of having him in this facility.Highly recommend for anybody’s loved one.

We were transferred from another facility. The administrative staff was efficient and caring. Their nursing staff did a great job getting my significant other up to speed with his medication and other needed care. The nurses and the cna(s) were very loving and caring. My significant other started showing signs of end of life. Anthony was his nurse and he stayed past his 16 hour shift to make sure hospice was at the facility to take over. All of the other nurses and cna(s) and staff were also very loving and caring during this difficult time.

3rd review: 3-18-18- My grandmother has severe Alzheimers and unfortunately doesnt know whats happening to her. She has had more bruising and sometimes shes dirty. The dirty is going to happen. Shes feeding herself and Is legally blind so Im sure she misses her mouth often. She does have a horrific black eye that I chose not to post a picture of because it will make the facility look bad when I dont believe its their fault. They have been calling me with updates and I greatly appreciate that. Apparently another resident smacked her. They called and told me and had it x- rayed. And they moved my grandmother to another room down another hall. Ive heard from her new staff more often and they seem attentive to her health. Her new nurse, her social worker and of course Monique are all wonderful. My grandmother is not always easy to deal with. She was still wearing someone elses clothing but shes wearing clothing. If theyre okay with it, so am I. She still doesnt have teeth, but I really dont know what to do about that because if they get her new teeth, with her Alzheimers, she may lose them again.Overall, I think they are doing a good job and Im raising my review from a 1 star. There have been several managers/ directors and the latest one seems to be doing a good job. I havent met him but based on the staff he has to be good.Update and 2nd review: I was very pleased the manager called me about a month ago offered to make some things right. He sounded very sincere. He said they would get teeth for my grandmother and replace some of the clothing. That was vey kind. In my recent visit my grandmother was awake, she was thinner than Ive ever seen her but she was in good spirits. She didnt have her clothes but someone elses on. She didnt have a bra on and the shirt was too short. I hope I dont need to explain that. She doesnt have teeth yet or theyre being smart and only giving them to her when she eats.I will change my rating to a positive one as things improve. There was a smile from the front desk and Peaches (Monique) was amazing, juggling 3 things at once and Still kind during it.1st review: My loved one is here and has been for several years. She was always healthy and good spirited but now shes gaunt and asleep no matter what time of the day I go to see her.I took her an enormous amount of clothing for her. I marked all of them with her name in permanent ink. Her socks, bras, tops, pants, shoes, robes, house slippers, pajamas, jackets etc. They are ALL gone. Every bit of them. She has 2 pairs of shoes that were special ordered because of her foot issues and she has an unusual size that you cant buy off of the rack. Her bras are 40ggg. ALL of it gone!!! They told us we need to purchase more clothes. She only has $15 a month leftover from Medicaid. Plus, they lost all of her clothes. Do not take anything nice for your loved one it will disappear. She had a new jacket I bought her. That was gone by the next week.Shes had bruising on her that the place cant explain. The staff used to call me when something happened to her and now they no longer do. In fact those people dont work there any longer. Now when I present a bruise to them they say, oh, that just happened . Shes had big bruises on her face. Hand and finger bruises on her arm where someone has grabbed her.I found another facility to take her that was closer to my home and Victoria Gardens denied her leaving and told the New facility that she wanders. Shes in a wheel chair and is always asleep. She doesnt wander. They no longer keep in touch with me.Please do your homework when sending your loved one somewhere. This used to be a nice place. Somethings changed.Peaches in the office, is the only nice thing about Victoria Gardens. I realize it can be depressing to work under those circumstance but they chose that line of work. Ive never seen a smile from an employee, not even the front desk. You think theyd at least fake it.

I am so disgusted with this place and myself for ever allowing my mother to be in this home. I have tried to get the office admin to respond so I can move her closer to me and they dont do anything they say they will. I have seen them ignore patients pretending they arent even there. Whatever you do you dont want to put your loved one here if there is another option!!!
