Ive been a member of this gym for a year now. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The equipment is above average compared to other local gyms. The views a good! The environment isnt bad as far as other gym users. Better opening and closing hours would make this 5 stars.

I like the gym. Its a bit crowded at times but it does have 2 floors so thats good. I love that they have a Sauna and a pool.

A majority of the people who work here that are not instructors have the same attitude and seemingly the same amount of integrity as used car sales people. As for the equipment, it’s a pretty standard facility. Nothing super special, you’re probably better off at planet fitness as at least everything to both enroll AND cancel a membership is available online.

I just joined a wk ago I was lucky enough to meet the manager of this LA Fitness in Frisco his name is Eddie and he was fabulous! He explained everything and answered all my questions . I was their on a guest pass and wasnt sure if I would join but once I spoke to Eddie he sold me and his energy was amazing. I am here to not just lose weight but get and stay healthy by moving. Love this gym and glad I got a membership! Thank you so much Eddie for helping me you are amazing!

Very impressed with this gym. definitely one of the nicest LA Fitness facilities i’ve ever been too. it’s very spacious, with a great variety of exercise equipment. not very many people working out at 6am, which i like. the place is clean, and they keep the a/c fairly cool {although it should actually be a little lower}. i will give them poor marks on their TV channel selection on the cardio machines though - only a few to choose from, i do appreciate it being separate on the second floor. the front desk staff is always very kind. danielle greets me each morning and looks forward to my return as i leave… little does she know this confidence boost she provides keeps me coming back!

I came to this location on Monday no sign on the sauna if its broken or why its not working, called/spoke with the gentleman at the front desk, he said he has no knowledge if its broken or not, he asked his manager and pending response. I came in Tuesday, still no heat or sign if its broken or not, asked the same guy at the front, he said still no information from his manager about the sauna, also they were having heat issues at the pool etc.Then today Wednesday, called, spoke the the same guy, he said I come in at 5 am and dont know if its working or not, also my Manager did not get back to me about the sauna!. Are you kidding me? Why do we pay extra membership to be able to go to different location, when they cant seem to get the sauna issues right or have knowledge about it? The Preston location is also always having issues with the sauna! Disappointing!****edit 2/26*** so on Wednesday the front desk called me back to let me know, they had someone check and the sauna is working. I didnt workout Thursday, so this morning Friday! I went to this gym again and guessed what??? The sauna is NOT working again???. No heat? (Its warm), Ive been sitting in here for 20 minutes still not sweating, Again I waisted my time! I could have gone to another LAF.

I got a guest pass to try to LA fitness for the first time. I walked in, barely any greeting no welcome no tour... didn’t show me or tell me where anything was. He just said ya you can go ahead and workout. No welcome is this your first time or nothing. Or show me where anything was. They are not inviting. just horrible customer service for first time guests. I don’t know how they have soo many locations

Workout equipment is always clean when I get my workouts in and always has some good runs going. Chenoa and Danielle always greet me with a warm welcome making it feel like home

Worst fitness club in DFW area. They lie and cheat you out of dues and extra fees. During COVID last year, the club manager at 121 said they would freeze or memberships and when we were ready they would unfreeze. Well we were ready and they canceled both our memberships. Then wanted us to pay start up fees and a higher rate. On top of that, when we paid all the higher fees and start up fees, they did not inform us that they were closing the club, but yet did take our money. Because of the closure they went ahead and combined two clubs into one on Main Street in Frisco. The club is so crowded now, it’s not worth it or enjoyable. So I canceled the membership at the club and told them why and they offered to freeze it and I said no, just want to cancel. She said ok it’s canceled and have a nice day. Well, 3 weeks later I start getting harassed on the phone with their billing department stating that they didn’t get the cancellation. Told them, I did. Was told to call the local store and let them know because they could not do anything. I did and the manager there was very rude and she finally said ok that she will take the fees away and close my account. Very rude manager.

I’ve come in here for a while and I’m honestly super disappointed and upset to hear that Eddie no longer works here. He got me to come into the gym in the first place and he made the environment so warm and welcoming. If you see this we miss you Eddie. Devastated to see he gone. So I’ve decided to return to Orange theory.

Super clean machines. lots of available machines. great friendly staff.

They let way to many people in who are not members and the gym ends up way to crowded because of it. Ill see one highschooler sign in and bring 4 of his friends which dont. I know they dont have a 30 day guest pass because its been going on for months.

Overcrowded club. Have shut 4 down & Frisco & surrounding area only have this poor location. Still poor hours & no racquetball or hot tub & prices going up!And lost & found company wide is a joke!

The facility itself is very nice and the locker rooms are always clean. This would be a five star except for one of the fitness instructors. I have tried going to her Saturday 11am class twice. The first time, she was a total no show and everyone was just standing around waiting because no one knew the class was canceled and it wasn’t updated in the app. The second time, she was 10 minutes late. It’s unprofessional. Maybe the third time would be the charm but I’m not going to risk it. Other than that, I have always had a good experience at this location.

I’ve been an LA Fitness member for 12 years. My location closed so now here I am. The gym is clean. The employees are here, but not as friendly as other locations. The gym is small. Not enough equipment to accommodate the members. True basketball court if you can call it that. Quite a small court and the goals are subpar. Not sure I want to be a member much longer. I will try the other locations out before I jump ship.

I literally signed up for their training for a month I told them I needed only for a month they instead signed me up for the whole year and when I signed the contact they told me you can cancel anytime but once I try to cancel they will say 50 percent pay on front which is 1400 don’t go to la fitness they are unprofessional scammers they will try to get as much money outta you as much as they can the gym itself it’s fine but don’t get into training you will regret it

Danielle the operations manager decided to charge my account without giving me any type of a heads up. It is not appropriate or professional in any capacity to begin to think it’s ok to pose charges for no reason. I’ve had other issues with the company before and Eddie has always gone out of his way to fix the issues. That’s why I’ve gone to this gym for three years. Things need to change here if they want to keep my business. Especially with texas family fitness being down the street and the new lifetime fitness opening soon in the area.

I have been a member of LA fitness for almost a year now. I started in Lewisville and had to relocate due to the flood in February. This Frisco location is nothing like Lewisville.They do not offer Silver Sneakers even since the other location in Frisco closed. They are very crowded and do a horrible job at cleaning up the gym. There are always people behind the desk, I told them it looked like there was spit all over the glass upstairs and they said our janitors dont like to come to work... I am like well you can do it???I came in at 8:30 on Sunday and the workout area was full of leftover equipment from the day before. To ensure we would have enough space for everyone we had to put all of this stuff away. I however do understand this is due to people not putting away the equipment when they are done with it, they should implement a fine or suspension.The Yoga instructors have all been great. I have worked with Dan the personal trainer and he has been fantastic. Making sure I am using the correct form to prevent injuries. Eva has also subbed for Yoga and did a fantastic job.

Best gym Ive been too! Spacious with plenty of machines. I dont like to workout with headphones but they play good music here

The gym is decent..I always get a good workout in..for the most part ppl clean up after themselves which is nice..only real negative is theres alot of kids that go to this gym..and no a.c.

Ordinary gym, but way too many dudes using their phones and pointing them at me in the locker room. Show up already dressed in your gym gear and ready for exercises for the win here.

Eddie is highly unprofessional, filled with anger and aggressiveness towards customers. Eddie should not be in any form of leadership as he does not posses leadership qualities. Eddie is not a good representation as he presents himself as an endangerment to others.

I enrolled to this gym 2 months ago. At the start the gentleman told I can lower my monthly package anytime I want so after two months I decided to do so . Last week I asked the guy in front desk he said I can if I wanna it but I didnt had time at that time so he told me the general manager would call me. Today I got a call from the general manager she told me thats not the case and cant do this. so I asked her if I can talk with her manager so she transfer me to this guy Eddie. This guy is very unprofessional, he doesnt know how to treat the customers . I have no idea how he became a manager when he allow him self to hang up the phone on the customer. He didnt even let me explain. If I could of I wouldnt even give this place a 1 star. I hope LA fitness cooperation can see this and fix my issue and fix this guy also. I would not recommend anyone to this location .

Back up sewer in men’s locker room for weeks and the smell is absolutely unbearable and I’m seeing that in the nicest way possible. The front desk person has reported it to management multiple times but he states that management just doesn’t care and it is very clear that this place is disgusting and it should be reported to the health dept

They keep the gym too hot like they are afraid to pay the electric bill and there is space wasted on couches that no one uses. This space should be used for more Weight machines.

Overall I love the gym and the staff, except a guy named Krishnan... he doesn’t wear the correct uniform, he rudely demands you leave at closing time on the dot without allowing me to finish the current set I was on (takes two minutes bud, calm your role), and just has an overall disregard for anyone And anything that doesn’t make his life easier. I said I need to finish up the set and would happily go, he continued to stare at me until I finished my set (making me feel unsafe in my own gym, which is where I’m supposed to go for peace and solitude.) find a new weekend guy, because this krishnan guy is not it if you want to keep members around. I mean the lifetime fitness here in frisco will be done soon, and Cowboys fit is just down the street, I would hate to have to leave to go another gym because the staff has zero etiquette and respect for its patrons.

I have been coming to this gym since is closer to my house but over the last couple of weeks, there has been some strong bad smell coming from the locker rooms at nights. I reported the smell twice to the guys working late afternoons but nothing has been done. Management team- can you please visit your location at night so you can experience the bad smell ? Thanks.

Back at LA Fitness. Havent used this gym in 5 years or so. Actually git a great workout and a had a great conversation the Manager. My workout partner and I will be switching gyms to train here. See ya TFF

Clean and easy access

Normaly go to Denton or Highland Village. Visited this location for a quick dip in the pool and a shower. The mens bathrooms smelled absolutely horrible. The pool smelled strongly of mildew and not enough like chemical. The shower curtains had yellow growth in the folds.

It is 100% for sure the dirtiest and nastiest gym on the planet. They dont clean anything, they allow people to workout with no shirts on later in the evening and sweat all over everything. I thought it would get cleaner with COVID but it is actually worse which I thought was impossible to do!

The front desk staff were some what reclusive and reluctant to offer any help. The facility itself had tons of equipment ,but it was all packed on top of each other. Everything was very clean and up to date. Over all I was pleased with my visit and will be going back.

They could do a better job keeping the club clean. Most of the hand sanitizer stations are empty.

Good location to get a workout done. The workout floor was organized but a bit dirty. The locker room and showers were very clean.

Very spacious facility with plenty of equipment; I love how the cardio is separated and placed on the second level!

UPDATE- They extended the working hours which is great!Now it is really crowded since they closed a large club near this gym, their members do not have other place to go. It is terrible to work out here now.The gym is only OK, you can do basic workouts, but keep in mind that a lot of equipments are missing.It closes too early, they could go over 10pm, Fridays are even worse, with one hour less.I will start to look for options.

Always clean, the staff are friendly and you can tell everyone pushes each other that are getting it in 🏋🏾

Eddie the GM is a great guy! Our experience for our first time was awesome. He made us feel like family and if youre looking to join a gym I recommend him!

Great gym! Sucks that it closes so early

This gym does not take cleanliness or mask wearing seriously at all. Sign on the door says must wear mask, however front desk typically either doesn’t wear one or it’s pulled down. Literally no one wears a mask. Overall cleanliness throughout the gym and locker rooms is an issue. Basketball rim is bent and tilted to side and has been like that for months.

My family moved to Frisco and this is the closest gym to our house. We used to go to a LaFitness in Plano. This LaFitness location is way better. They have free WiFi. They have several stairmasters upstairs, two row machines, tons of treadmills and ellipticals. They have a great variety of equipment overall. I also think this location handles wearing face masks really well and they have plenty of cleaning products around the gym to use to clean equipment. This gym seems really clean to me, so I would have to disagree with the prior reviews saying it is dirty. The folks that work at this location are friendly. I would recommend this gym!

Not the nicest la fitness Ive seen. The mens locker room doesnt always look clean. Ive come and gone seeing the same trash on the floors. Constantly out of paper towels or over flowing trash in locker room. Late afternoon the guys up front will have girls up their behind the counter that dont work their messing around, and even doing flips by the desk, showing off. Not sure if they do not have a evening shift manager or not. I like the location for what I need. Not having kids club open on Sunday is a huge let down. You would think the busiest times for the kids club would be the weekend. For the price you would expect more. I would recommend this location for using weights and machines, not much else.

Joined this gym multiple times I rejoined with the GM Ali back in August he made the process so simple and easy. He has done an amazing job keeping a friendship. The gym is always clean everyone is supper friendly. I love the variety of equipment and classes.

It’s a nice gym. The equipment is in good shape, but it’s gross. Almost nobody wipes down equipment (probably) because the gym doesn’t provide spray bottles and small towels to wipe anything down. It seems like other LA Fitness gyms are doing this too. The gym would smell a lot fresher if things were clean.

Front desk is trash the gym is dirty and the equipment is subpar at best.

Convenient location, really nice crowd. Unfortunately, management is not doing their job. Main water fountain in the weights area has been about couple of months out of service. It doesnt matter how many people complain about it, they wont fix it. Machines constantly broken and waiting for fixing as well. Two out of three pulley machines are now out of commission.I personally tried to speak with the management a few times (last couple of times being yesterday and today). No calls back, no feedback, which sends a clear message to me: we dont care if you are happy or not, and we are too busy to fix broken equipment even the essential ones.There is an excellent opportunity here for Planet Fitness or another gym chain to open up a location in this area and get many unsatisfied customers from LA Fitness. In addition to being overcrowded around peak morning and peak afternoon/evening, management has been taking customers business for granted for a while now in my opinion. If there was another option, I am confident droves of customers would be happy to leave this LA Fitness location behind.Thinking about joining this location? Got an option close to work or in another area? Do yourself a favor and DO NOT ENROLL AT THIS LOCATION.

I stopped by LA Fitness on Main Street and the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco today. I had some questions about joining and Ali was extremely helpful. He even showed me around and was very encouraging about me joining and working out. Im not a young adult and its been 20 years since I visited a gym and I greatly appreciate his graciousness!

After being a member of LA Fitness for twenty years in the past, and then just rejoining today, the General Manager who helped me, Ali, was so friendly and welcoming. Josh, the Director of Personal Training, was equally as friendly and informative.After being a member at several LA Fitness locations throughout the years and in multiple states, this facility is run professionally and is very well laid out for a maximum workout. Its clean and machines are in good working order.I highly recommend this LA Fitness location!

This location flat out lied to me and is trying to charge me $800 to cancel my personal training membership even though I was very clear about not being able to continue past September of this year. The people on the phone keep telling me to cancel my credit card... completely unacceptable. The gym itself is a good space, but the person who made me sign the contract should be fired. I’m also going to look into legal counseling for this case, since I’ve been attempting to have this resolved for weeks.Edit: I’m adding more because I’m very frustrated. I’ve been attempting to reach the personal training manager in person and over the phone for at least two weeks (I try every few days to get in touch), because I have questions about my contract. The customer service is just unacceptable.

The General Manager, Eddie, was very unprofessional when approaching my husband and I bc we were not wearing our mask, while not in working hours. To get our attention across the gym he yelled “hey bro” to my husband. He did not present himself or ask in a decent, profesional manner for us to put our masks on. Keep in mind that 70% of the rest of the people in the gym at that time are not wearing their mask either or wearing it inappropriately, but he only got our attention. Then he followed us close to our next station and said “Hey I told you to put your masks on”, still not presenting himself. When my husband decided to ask him why he was only asking us he replied that he was going around making his rounds, but he literally did jot ask anyone else before or after asking us. Then he proceeded to say that he was just working out and we were within 6 feet of him and that’s why he asked us to wear our masks, and that he was the general manager. So disappointing to have a general manager as unprofessional as him. We tried contacting corporate but haven’t received a response yet, guess they only care about the money and not the customers!

I joined 5 months ago committed to improving my strength and endurance and overall health after recovering from bilateral pulmonary embolisms 2 years ago. I liked the variety of scheduled fitness activities plus the number of machines to give me plenty of options. I also signed up for a personal trainer to help keep me accountable.So far I have made good use of the aquafit sessions and really appreciate how the instructor provides modifications to maintain or increase intensity. I’m also very pleased with my weekly sessions with my trainer Jamal. He listened to my health history and goals and every week continues to encourage, and push, me to increase my strength and endurance. We’ve both even noticed the positive impact to my weight! But Jamal continues to focus on core health and fitness and that keeps me motivated to keep coming!The only reason I can’t give this facility 5 stars is they seem to struggle to keep the women’s locker room clean. I’ve had to mention excessive messes several times and the staff seem baffled on what to do each time.

I got a trial pass, they ask for my ID and then said I can’t have it back until I leave. Place was extremely Non-sterile and dirty. Staff is strongly influenced to just take your money in any way. I wouldn’t tell the general manager about my personal life so he got mad and told me not to come back, ever... This place seriously need to work on respect and personal boundaries. I would recommend any gym but this one.

I have been an LA Fit member for years. I work out in 3 different locations but spend most of my time in the Frisco location. The staff seems lazy or is either too focused on sales to clean the place. It is filthy. The locker room, restrooms and showers are down right gross! They have not been cleaned since the location opened. I have literally watch the mildew grow in the men’s showers. I left an empty shampoo bottle in one of the showers just to see how long it would take someone to pick it up. It stayed there for 3 weeks. LA Fit management please do something! The local staff hasn’t done anything to improve this location.

I’ve been going to this location since the summer of 2017, and I’ve been consistently pleased with my visits! The staff is always so kind, and I truly feel welcomed every time I come in. The size of the gym is just right, and they have a variety of equipment. I recommend this gym for sure!

Clean facility, great staff, very knowledgeable trainers. Saw some other reviews about temperature and cleanliness being an issue... not the case. Ive seen staff regularly walk around wiping down machines to keep clean, and the temperature inside is comfortable for having so many people inside working out. My trainers have been extremely diligent in tailoring my workouts to what my body needs. They are very helpful with nutrition questiond, and have a 24 hr concierge service if you are out of town and need a workout plan while away. They even take videos of certain workouts and send them to you if youre away and dont know how to perform them! Talk about over the top. I cant emphasize enough how professional and supportive this team is. Its never crowded, has a great layout of machines, and there are plenty of staff members walking around if you need help. I can only imagine that the people who have issues with this gym are just not dedicated to getting in better shape. Dont blame your lack of motivation or dedication on the facility or staff. The change starts with your attitude!

Really nice gym!

Absolutely Disgraceful.They start of by being the most cooperative people there are to lure the money out of you. I signed up for personal training but when I didn’t think that it was the right thing for me I decided to quit. To which their personal training head decides to lash out on me saying how I haven’t been making efforts and that I’m going to buy the contract out and everything. It is solely my choice whenever I want to quit. Absolutely don’t recommend anyone to sign up for personal training at this gym. They said that I’m going to have to pay out the remainder of my contract which was a good $ 700-800 and above their employee started to shout on me.

Because I had a VERY unfavorable experience at LA Fitness on Custer rd in McKinney/Frisco area I chose not to re-register at that location. I was really surprised and hurt by the rude attitude I received from the operations manager at the branch. Thats for another review.I just re-registered at the Main St/Dallas pkwy location and had a great experience! Ali was my membership associate and he was courteous and took his time to explain everything to me. Arent these the basics of customer service? I am very pleased and excited about using the facility. This gym was such a safe zone for me, starting off i got in and got a membership, super fast, no problems. then the people, everybody was really friendly, and the gym had such a variety of things for me to work on, and the equipment was very nice!

Always clean. Machines are very seldom out of service. Friendly staff. Cold filtered water. Great selection of machines/weights. SHOUT OUT TO KEN!!! ALWAYS POSITIVE, KEEPS THE PLACE SPOTLESS!!

Ali signed me up for my membership and he answered all of my questions. this place has the most machines i’ve seen. i brought a friend along with me and she loved it so much she got a membership too.

I workout at LA almost everyday and I absolutely love it. It is very clean and one of the best gyms I have been to. It is well spaced out with all of the equipment you need. I highly recommend getting a membership!

I was trying to find a gym, I tried Texas Family Fitness which I really liked and then I tried LA Fitness. They gave me a one-week free trial, Texas Family Fitness only gave me a one day free trial. I think theyre both very similar. LA Fitness definitely has more machines. And I go when theres basically nobody there which is during the middle of the day. Even though LA Fitness is more expensive I signed up with them because my son is a member and I am thinking that it could be possible probably not but could be possible that we work out together.

I’ve asked them no less than 8x to take me off their call list, this represents horrible sales and GM management on their part.

This location charge different membership prices be careful some members paying $19 a month and some members paying $59 per month without instructors

Was taken care of by Jordan in sales. Highly recommend speaking to her when trying to sign up or get involved w/ the gym. Amazing service & easy to talk.

My only gripe is that during the warmer weather, it gets pretty warm and stuffy here. Good luck trying to get some cardio done upstairs. Ive had to cut my workouts short sometimes because I breakout in high humidity. Without naming any names, some of the previous employees Ive spoken to have acknowledged this and blame it on management. There is a Lifetime Fitness being built around the corner and Id be willing to leave and pay more if they crank the AC!

Counting down the days for the Prosper location to open. I’ve been to many LA fitness locations and this one is by far the dirtiest. If they aren’t out of paper towels to wipe down equipment, then they’re out of the soap. There’s always trash on the floor for some reason, old water bottles, spilled liquids. Bathrooms are always dirty, overflowing trash, out of toilet paper, hair all over women’s sinks. I’ve brought it to their attention many times but it’s consistently the same anytime i come.

Dont bother unless youre ready to sign up for a long term membership. Tried to use the guest pass to try out the gym and the salespeople was basically doing everything possible to prevent us from using the gym. There are a hundred gyms in the area so not sure why LA Fitness is trying to dissuade customers.

Good quality gym with a wide variety of equipment and a pool. Would like to see a dedicated area for deadlifting, but otherwise very impressed with their setup

Went in for a free session and came out with a membership. Tons of new equipment, lots of space, heated pool, basketball and raquetball courts, sauna, classes and everything else you can expect from a full service gym. Staff was friendly and very helpful! I loved my session and my new gym, cant wait to go back in tomorrow!

Good equipment. I pay annually, so I have no idea about the monthly payment consistency. I havent used the personal trainers. I go to lift and thats it. The people are friendly/cordial, no meathead douches at the times I go. I would have given it 5 starts, but they could be better about cleaning the equipment more frequently.

This is the place to go if you work out in Frisco. Awesome customer service, always clean. Nice things to look at as well!!! Its called motivation! Usually here 6-7 days a week.

Love this place! super nice facilities, very large compared to other LAs, lots of nice staff(Jay is the man). My only complaint- and this is to how LA Fitness works in general, is they need to be 24/7 or at least stay open later. Price is right though for what you get.
