Powell Dentistry is always a great place for my son to go to! Today we had to do a procedure for the first time ... Dr. K and his staff were amazing with him! They put both of us at ease! I highly recommend Powell Dentistry to all!! You will love it!

We always have a great experience at Powell Pediatric Dentistry!! Of course, my kids love the playset in the waiting room and the books/balloons! The dental hygienist that cleaned my son’s teeth was really fun and played along with my son’s silliness. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The dentist was thorough, gentle and kind. We love going here!

This was our favorite pediatric dentistry place but after today no more. So my 5yr old had to get work done and she had a fun visit back in August which went great. When I scheduled her treatment appointment they didnt have anything available until Nov. So,since it was too long for treatment I decided to switch her and my son to get her aching tooth better. So, today she started of great, even the assistant was impressed. The Dr didnt come in until about 15 minutes from her being ready. Then he comes in and asks me to please keep quiet during the procedure, which I didnt mind, and I did. During the procedure about 5 minutes left to finish my 5 year old, whos been laying with her mouth open for about an hour starts fidgeting with her legs. I did have to ask her to let him finish. When he was all done he tells me in front of her that he would not feel comfortable proceeding with future treatment due to her not being still, that she had not been good enough for him to feel comfortable. That she had score and F2 and in order for the kids to be considered good in office treatmentthey needed to be an F4. I told him that how did he not expect for 5 yr old to not get a little impatien after a long time laying if even some adults cant go through that at an adult age. He told me I could proceed by sedation or by seeking a second opinion but when I asked if it could be by the other dentist in office he said it would have to be outside office because he would share notes about my child and that would probably mean he too would not be comfortable. Overall, I think what hurt me the most out of all this is that while he talked about not traumatizing a child in a dentist chair atmosphere, when we walked out my daughter asked me if I thought if she had done great. I looked at her Nd told her she did amazing but then she said well then the Dr lied because he kept saying I was brave and doing awesome but when he was talking to you he said the opposite, that I had done not good. Well thanks a lot Dr. for making my child feel low after that. I will definitely be looking somewhere else. To bad that the great dentist that were there left. By the way I asked him what type of behavior did he expect to see a child during treatment, he said, laying down with his arms on the side like a soldier, the parent sitting in the corner, and the child just smiling throughout the procedure. Sounds to me he needs to be working with robots.

There were several things wrong with our visit at Powell. 1. We saw a provider that was out of network and it was never discussed. 2. There was an extensive amount of work suggested for a 5 year old. Close to $2000 and they do not have a payment plan. Plus, who does that amount of work on baby teeth?! There was not an explanation given as to why work needed to be done. 3. I asked for my child’s medical records and when they were given to me they were blocked therefore they were not viewable. I took my child to another in network provider to obtain a second opinion and ended up only needing to have work done on a tooth that was bothersome. Not to mention we paid nothing out of pocket and my child was scheduled immediately to have work done versus waiting until September for something that was painful.

They are the BEST pediatric dentist around! We drive over an hour to come here. My son is high risk and they have been incredible with his care. Kindest, most understanding group of individuals in the industry! If I could give them 10 stars I would!!

Everyone there is super friendly and the doctor is very kind and informative. He makes himself available to any questions or concerns we may have. My daughter’s visit was very pleasant and they do prescribe sessions before any treatments which helps kids get the sensation of the equipment that they will be using throughout cleaning or fills. I highly recommend them!

My husband took our two year old to her dentist appointment this morning. He said Dr. Bhakta was very kind and patient with our daughter. She had a great time and came home very happy. Our seven year old son has always had great experiences with staff as well. I am appreciative of the quality care our children receive at Powell Pediatrics.

The staff is kind, welcoming and efficient. I appreciate as a busy mom how they handle paper work before an after. You always get a text reminder a couple days before your appointment. We also get both boys seen at the same time! This is the only dentist my two boys have seen an the bar is set high. They consistently engage an treat my two very different boys with the up most respect and they appreciate it! We would recommend then ten times over!!

Great Dr’s and staff! Very clean and on top of sanitation. My kids feel comfortable with their service. The only thing is, they are pretty booked. Your appointment will be scheduled for a month after your call

Cant say enough good things about this office and staff! They are so patient and attentive to my Autistic sons needs in every way. We are always placed in a dim lighted room with the nicest staff who patiently work with my son to make him feel comfortable with receiving dental care. They have even done practice visits with my son to get him familiarized with the office and cleanings. Nothing has ever been forced. My son now loves going and he brushes/flosses regularly. Highly recommend this place ❤🦷

Hands down one of the best kids dentist i been too. I have had bad experiences elsewhere and here they made it a nice experience for both kid and parent. Very professional! They made it very comfortable and pleasant for my kid!

I love the staff! They are knowledgeable but most of all they are passionate about kids! They always reassure my kids and make sure they feel comfortable with anything they are doing. This helps create a positive experience and has allowed them to make a healthy connection with going to the dentist.

This dentist office used to be the best care for my child but after the two doctors that left this practice it’s no longer the best. During my visit today the tech offered my 3 year old a balloon if he was to take X-rays we tried and he refused to do it. She refused to give him a ballon after he profusely kept asking her. He’s a toddler not a teenager whose able to understand instructions. I will no longer recommend this dentist office to anyone. How can she possibly work around kids and be that type of person to offer a child something and not give it to him? Such an awful experience.

The entire staff was great from the moment we stepped in the door until we stepped back out. The front desk was kind, the dental assistant was thorough and quick with my babys rinse while keeping his comfort in mind. The dentist took his time in letting baby warm up to him and then got the job done quickly. We left with a sticker and a balloon along with our teeth cleaning goodies. Im so glad we went to Powell.

We love this practice. Staff is always attentive. Dr.Corbin Smith is very good with patients, attentive and engaging. Place is clean and spacious. Technicians are well trained and good with children.Practice safe covid-19 guidelines. They sanitized everything used. Jackie the dental technician who took care of my daughter was very patient, friendly, attentive and careful.

Our experience at Powell Pediatric Dentistry is always positive. We used to see Dr. Powell and now we see Dr. Smith. Both of them have a wonderful demeanor with children, and mine always feel comfortable there. I have one child that is very afraid of any doctor/dental visits. The hygienists at Powell always maker her feel comfortable. We had one visit where she was not made comfortable by the hygienist and they have since always made sure to put with the same one that she feels most comfortable with. We have five children, and they all love this office and their staff. We never wait long to be seen, and have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences.

I was very pleased with their service . I was recommended to them by a few of my Mom friends after my children’s appointments kept getting pushed back due to Covid with their previous dentist . I was very hesitant at first , I hate change , and with my personal bad experience with adult dentist I didn’t want my kids to have the same experience . Needless to say the entire staff was very kind and made me feel at ease . After a few minutes into the appointment , I was able to relax . The dental hygienist were super calming and asked me if I had any concerns , I never felt rushed and the most important , my children felt very comfortable . We saw Dr. Smith and he was so easy to talk to , and went over everything , again making me feel more at ease. I will definitely be back for a 2nd appointment. But most of all thanks to the entire staff for being welcoming and making this Super anxious mom feel at ease that my kiddos were in good hands .

I been taking my son here for a couple years. The wait to see the dentist is never long. Everyone is so kind in the office and they make sure my son is comfortable and they make sure that every tooth is healthy.

My kids have gone here for almost 5 years and we’ve been met with nothing but happy faces and smiles. They’re great with the kids and super friendly. My daughter was scared and didn’t feel comfortable and they helped her get comfortable with everything, the tools, the camera the chairs. They make the whole experience about the kids. I would recommend them if you have a kid that is very timid with the dentist.

I had an annual check up for all three of my children at once. The appointment was at 10:30 and I was out of the door by 11. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the office staff with regards to Covid protocol, making my kids feel at ease, the cleaning, x-rays, and then the dentist went down the line and checked out their teeth and addressed any worries. Great experience!

Dr. Smith is wonderful and patient. The entire staff is excellent. My son is only 2, so not much of a volunteer, but the staff is very sweet and patient with him. Hopefully with time and their help he will become a more cooperative and better patient.

I recently took my son for his first dentist appointment at Powell Pediatric and Had the best experience, the staff was so friendly and helpful, Mindy at the front desk checked us in and was kind and informative, the overall experience was one of the best. Dr. Robinson is by far the best dentist in Fresno, I have never met a nicer Doctor. Dr. Robinson and his staff took their time explaining the visit and gave us helpful tools on how to continue good dental hygiene for our son. My husband and I were beyond pleased. The dental assistants are great with the kids, they always explain what they are doing and show the kids the tools that they are using. My kids actually love going. My kids have been going to Powell Pediatric Dentistry since maybe 3 yo and now they are 15 & 13. They have kind and helpful staff. My kids have always enjoyed going to see the dentist and it’s an easy process for me.

It was my sons first time at the dentist, he fell and chipped his front teeth and I called them in the morning and they were able to get us in right away! They are so sweet and accommodating and even though it was scary for my son they did their best to help him feel better and not be scared. This place is amazing and I recommend it 100000%

My child has been coming to Dr. Powells office since she was 3 years old. She is now 7 and had to have some cavities taken care of. The staff take the time to explain everything to the parent and tries their best to put the child at ease. My daughter was quite nervous going into the procedure but they reassured her, made her feel like she could control the situation, and had her watch a movie while they worked on her. Her dentist Dr. Smith is very gentle and has a calming effect on her. We are very pleased with the service, the cleanliness of the facility, the staff, and just the entire experience.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Smith by another dentist. She needed quite a lot of work done, enough that they recommended she be under anesthesia for the procedure. I was so nervous about it. It was my 3yo daughters first dental visit. The staff and Dr. Robinson had made it the best first experience for her. So appreciative! The (R)DA was patient with her, she made sure she switched to cleaning her teeth with a regular toothbrush once she realized my daughter was getting nervous. She was very informative in giving hygiene instructions. The office itself is very well maintained. As a person who has worked in dental field before I was very pleased. Also my daughter was so excited and all smiles while telling her Daddy about the playhouse, balloons, Dr. Robinson counting her teeth with his flashlight and about her new book she received after her visit.

I could write a whole page on why I hugely prefer this office to the other two we visited with my 8 year old, but I won’t write a huge review. Just know that this office is great with children, they have a very nice play area for your other little ones while waiting, and they never make you wait for longer than 10 minutes tops! They also explain everything well as well as give a whole print out on insurance coverage etc. I didn’t receive that at either office before. Dr. Powell is great with children & so friendly. My daughter loves going to the dentist now!

We were so concerned and in fact convinced (!) it would be a total disaster but the entire team made us all so comfortable... Highly Highly recommended especially for special needs children....

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Great with my kiddos - patient and kind. My kids love going there! There’s plenty to keep them entertained: a play structure when you first walk in, a movie in the waiting room, tablets to play games on, and can watch pretty much anything they want while their teeth are getting done. They also love getting their balloon, goodie bag, and book. Very competent and thorough.

I took my daughter here for her first dentist visit and she loved it. Its a great office and amazing staff. She cant wait to go back. It took a lot of pressure off of me knowing that they were so accommodating to her. The staff was so attentive to my daughter the whole visit and made her feel comfortable. When it was time to take my 18 month old to his first dentist appointment, I knew I had to take him to Dr. Powells! I have heard so many wonderful things about him and his office, so I knew it would be the place for us. My son had his check up yesterday and we both loved it. We didnt wait long, the waiting room was clean and Dr. Powell and his staff were fantastic with my son. The best part was my son got to take home a new book at the end of the visit! Its truly a wonderful office and I highly recommend it!

My 6 year old had to have a cavity filled and the staff was very understanding and walked him through the whole process durring a fun visit. Then when he came for his actual procedure he was confident and not afraid. The staff was very quick and we were in and out within 40 minutes total. My son was happy and so was I. I couldnt have asked for a better dentist appointment. My son isnt scared of the dentist at all because of their awesome staff and fun environment.

I enjoy taking both of my children to Powell pediatric dentistry. The staff is very friendly and prompt. I like the tablets they have to fill out health history paperwork and to sign in on. My children love the dentist and I appreciate Powell staff making it a positive environment for them especially for my son who had to get a tooth extracted, he walked out telling the staff thank you! Dr Powell is wonderful with children!

Dr. Powell is the absolute best! I know growing up I was always scared going to the dentist so when I decided to take my son I tried to find the perfect place... & I DID! My son looks forward to going to his dental visits, & I must say I aint surprised! Dr. Powell is so sweet, he provides a kid friendly environment with a cool playhouse, and he spoils his patients with cool surprises at the end of the visit! My son also loves to see the baby restroom ha! He thinks its hilarious! So thankful for Dr. Powell providing my child with the best possible experience a little one can have visiting the dentist! I cant thank him or his awesome staff, enough!

Staff were friendly. We were seen at our appt time. They took time to explain things to my children and waited for my kids to give them permission to brush or examine their teeth. Very calm environment. Dr Smith is amazing! My kids just raves about how nice he was. They even were excited to go home and take care of their teeth!

I just have to say that my boys love going to the dentist because the staff are so wonderful & patient with them. Dr. Powell is just as patient & caring with our precious children. And as an added bonus they have a fun little playhouse to play in & video game systems set up to use while you wait. They also provide each patient with a complimentary book at the end of the visit. Overall, my boys are comfortable going to the dentist & feel at ease when they are getting their teeth checked & cleaned. I couldnt ask for anything more.

We love going to see Dr. Powell and all of his wonderful staff. My kids countdown until they get to go back. Everyone from the front desk to each and every assistant make my kids feel safe and the experience enjoyable. I am so thankful my friend recommended them to us. I realized at our last visit our kiddos have been seen by dr. Powell for four years. So happy we get to stay in the area for another four, or we might have to fly back. 😂😂

My daughter is 8 and it was her first time to the dentist. Dr. Powell and his staff made her feel welcome and comfortable. They explained oral hygiene to her in a convincing and easy way to understand and now every night before bed she reminds me, Mom I have to brush my teeth!. She has been back 2 more times since that initial visit and has been excited to go each time. I remember dreading the dentist as a kid, so I am so thrilled that we found a dentist office that makes it fun and inviting for my daughter. What I found very helpful as a parent is that a proposed cost after insurance is given at the time of the treatment recommendations so I am not surprised and I can schedule accordingly. I highly recommend Powell Pediatric Dentistry!

My kids absolutely loved their first visit (and so did Mom 😉). Usually my daughter feels a little anxious during her dental visits, but this was the first time she was completely relaxed. My son, who is very squirmy, had fun watching his older sister get her teeth looked at. He cant wait for his turn! We are excited to have found Powell Pediatric!

My 2 year old son had his first dental check up yesterday and the experience was wonderful! Thanks to Dr Powell and all the staff on his clinic! They were all super nice and friendly. Before making our appointment, I researched, read reviews and asked everyone I know for a good pediatric dentist, and Im so glad I have chosen Powell Pediatric Dentistry for my sons first check up. It was really worth the drive for us. My son usually doesnt like strangers or first time procedure that hes not familiar with, but they had a good way with the kids that let my son cooperates without forcing or stressing him out. The clinic was so nice and clean too and very kid friendly. My son really liked it there that he didnt want to leave the place when it was time to go home.

I dont think I could possibly ask for a better dentist for my children. My children have sensory problems and anxiety disorders. Powell Pediatrics is amazing at accommodating my children. Dr. Smith is amazing. Hes so good with my kids. Hes patient and calming to them. He makes sure that theyre comfortable and Im extremely appreciative to have such a wonderful dentist for my children.

Best dentist ever! Dr. Powell was so nice and patient with my boys who are 4 years old and one. The receptionists and staff were so friendly as well. My boys had so much fun playing with the slide and fort inside while we waited. The wait was not long at all. But if it was, it didnt even matter because the kids were having so much fun with the entertainment center. The equipment they use on the kids are up to date and modern! They give the kids comfy earphones while they watch any movie of their choice while they are getting their teeth cleaned. And may I mention the cleanest play area and overall in office! You feel like you are out if town in this office! I give it 20 stars if I could on here. And to make a sweet touch at the end, every child gets a cool balloon on a stick and a book of their choice. My boys didnt even want to leave when we were done...how many of us can say our kids didnt want to leave the dentist?! Hands down thee best dentist in Fresno! 💯👌💯👍

Our experience in Dr. Powell’s office was Phenomenal we had such a great experience.From the moment we walked in the staff made us feel welcome. Our son did great for his first actual visit. Better then what we imagined he would do. Thank you very much Dr. Powell’s staff for having the patients, with my son and being such great, friendly staff. I was so impressed with Dr. Powell and his amazing staff. I took my daughter for her first visit and she is 2.5. The hygienist was so patient and kind with my daughter. I never felt rushed, but rather everyone took their time and went nice a slow with my girl. Not one tear was shed! I was also given a lot of information about proper oral hygiene for children and left feeling equipped and taken care of.If you have little ones, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Powells office. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Powell and staff are absolutely amazing! I have 2 kids who go there and they both love it. I actually dont have words to describe how amazing they are other than that! From the friendly greeting when you arrive to how comfortable they make the kids feel if its from a regular cleaning and check up to an actual appointment with any kind of work down. Powell Pediatric Dentistry is the best and I give 5 stars all across the board for them!!!!

They are so nice and very patient with my 2yr old son. He loves playing in their waiting room and is so happy at the end when he gets his book and balloon. They are great with keeping us in the know with tips and observations for our sons teeth. Can’t imagine taking him anywhere else.

We came to PPD based on the well deserved 5/5 rating on here. Staff and Dr. Smith are friendly, patient and great with my kid. He also takes the time to answer questions and explain options. My daughter feels comfortable during service and loves picking up a book/getting a balloon at the end of the visit!

Always a pleasant experience! The assistants are friendly, we’re seen in a prompt manner, and Dr. Powell has a calming demeanor about him, which puts my son at ease. I would definitely recommend their office to family and friends!

I highly recommend Dr. Powell and his Pediatric Dentistry. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming and Dr. Powell provides excellent dental care to his patients. My son is 21 months old and has seen Dr. Powell for his initial appointment and an additional check-up. Being that my son is scared of doctor visits, Dr. Powell and his staff provide a very inviting and calming environment where children are comfortable and unafraid of their dental care. My son loves playing in the very clean play structure at the beginning of each visit and loves leaving with a balloon and new book in hand. I would highly recommend Dr. Powell’s Pediatric Dentistry to anyone with children for their healthy dental care.

My daughter was apprehensive and scared. We had to return because they were unable to perform her cleaning the last visit. We came back and she still wasnt very compliant but the staff were friendly and warm and eventually she had her teeth cleaned and examined. Office is friendly and welcoming and Dr. Robinson was very kind and friendly as well.

I have never seen such a professional awesome staff. Everyone was very pleasant and nice. I highly recommend this to every parent who is looking for a is dentist.
