My Mom has been in long term care at Falls Run Nursing & Rehab since August 2019 with progressive dementia and immobility issues. From the time mom arrived as an often difficult resident, the staff in every department has worked tirelessly and compassionately with her. She was often not cooperative in PT/OT and still they continued to work with her while following protocols and high standard of care values. During COVID-19 shutdown when we were no longer able to visit mom, the staff set up opportunities to video call mom on a regular basis. We still are connecting this way weekly. Mom has thrived through this very difficult time. Her demeanor has softened, she is more cooperative and her dementia has become less severe at times because she feels at home, safe, cared for and a sense of belonging. Her nurses and activities director and staff are heroes. They stay in touch with us on a regular basis with impromptu check ins, updates on covid status, and anything new with mom. The facility is also working with United Health Care’s Medicaid program and she has an addition set of nursing eyes on her monthly in their routine check ins.I have a sense of peace knowing mom is doing well here. Life threw us a curve when we realized she was going to need long term care. Falls Run has been a blessing through it all. Our family is truly grateful for all they have done for mom and how beautifully they have embraced her and made her feel loved.

FRNR - Always making my mother feel like she is home and loved. I visit her every week and she always has a smile on her face. The activities director is heaven sent. My mother Nancy really enjoys Stephanie and her teams charisma and their passion for all of the residents. Falls Run is world class and a blessing ❤️🇺🇸Mike

Hands Down this is the best Nursing Home in Northern Virginia. My mother is currently a resident and is looked after very closely by dedicated professionals who love their job and love their residents. I have interviewed the management, the nursing staff and the activities team and I wholeheartedly trust them taking care of my mother.Mike O

I cant believe it was one year ago that my mom came home from Falls Run Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. From the first day that my mom was admitted, the PT nurse said, she walked about ten steps independently. I had a meeting about her progress weekly, and the admin even helped me figure out the paperwork for assistance. As the days turned into weeks, I saw her improvement. Before her final days, the nurses came out to the house to ensure that the home was safe. Last year, I remembered feeling overwhelmed with the entire process, but the admin staff and PT department had her best interest and this was the best places for her recovery.Once mom was settled and driving on her again, I decided it was time to start giving back to the community. I signed up as a volunteer at the Healthy Generations area of aging. After helping so many people buy and sell, I became a Senior Real Estate Specialist and dedicated my focus to local Seniors. Falls Run Rehab not only helped my mom gain her independents back but also gave me a greater purpose in serving my local community.

My Mom had to have her leg amputated and was originally at Woodmont for rehab. Our decision to move her to Falls Run for Long Term care was made easier by discussing the care and attention she would be getting by Jamie Sevier, the admissions director. He also stayed involved as she got settled in. There continue to be small issues and the roommate situation has been difficult, but the staff is fabulous. Mom has memory issues and can be mean. The group takes everything in stride. I hope they continue to provide excellent care.

The staff at Falls Run were kind and professional. They did a very good job taking care of my aunt. She can be difficult at times but they managed to help her get stronger and mentally confident before she came home. I recommend this facility for rehab. They love what they do and that means a lot.

Toured the facility today before my moms placement for rehab tomorrow. Very nice staff. Clean beautiful rooms. The admissions director and assistant were very accommodating. I chose this facility based on a dear friends assessment of local nursing homes. She is a nurse who is very familiar with most rehab centers in the area. She told me that it was the best. Based on what Ive seen so far, I believe she was right. I will review again in 6 weeks and give the outcome!

Since upon my arrival coming from another Rehabilitation center this building is above and beyond my expectations, from the administration staff to nurses, nurse aides , the cooking staff, and housekeeping. I Would like to give special thanks to nurses Kathy ,Dakota and Mr. G Along with nurses aides Felicia ,Casey Who have with their plethora of knowledge, have graciously treated me like family and not a patient. These folks should be highly commended and you as an employer should be highly grateful that you have these folks as employees. Thank you so much and God bless.

There will never be a perfect facility , but Falls Runs is by far one of the best nursing homes I’ve ever experienced. The staff is very friendly and work as a team to ensure that the needs of their residents and families are met. I take senior care very seriously and I wouldn’t recommend any other place than Falls Run.

I have visited Falls Run Nursing and Rehabilitation many times. I have found this facility to be very well kept, and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The Rehabilitation dept is excellent. The activities dept is keeps the residents thriving with an array of activities that fills the individual needs of residents, and of course Nursing always is always on their A game.

Falls Run is a very clean nursing and Rehab Facility. Every single one of the staff was so kind to my dad while he was there. From Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, to CNAs they were all outstanding. The food was also Very Good! The amount of time each patient receives from nursing staff is a little low, but overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone needing good care for a family member.

Nice rooms, but understaffed. My father was left in his bed wet and soaked through to the sheets. They came in to put him to bed and left him in his wet and soaked condition. I asked them to change them so they did. Also when his oxygen stats were down in the high 50s and low 60s they wouldnt send him to the hospital or have the Dr. come in. They waited till the next day to send him to the hospital where it was discovered that he had had a massive heart attach. You cant stay the night with your loved one, but I stayed by his bed all day and the care and attention he received was lacking. They were good about making special food for him when he wouldnt eat or get out of bed. They would ask him what he felt like eating and would bring him sandwiches of his choice. Most of the staff were friendly and kind. There just wasnt enough of them to efficiently attend to his needs.

Poor service. My father had a total knee surgery and released from Rehab without pain medication. Hard to reach a supervisor or manager or on call doctor to give him a prescription. Poor service. Not a good experience for my dad. Hes being told to see his primary doctor who did not do the surgery. What sense does that make...My dad is in severe pain and so upset which upsets me. DONT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES THERE

Let’s start off by saying this place doesn’t even deserve one star... Real nurses don’t even work there it’s uneducated staff members that should be working at McDonald’s not no place with people who need day to day help. My grandma was in there for a couple weeks and in those couple weeks they only came in to help her go to the bathroom a couple time out of all those weeks. They hardly ever did physical therapy with her and they never gave her her medication that she needed to take daily which lead to her almost dying there. Within the time she was there my grandpa saw 3 dead bodies being transported out of there it’s absolutely disgusting they don’t do anything when they see someone on there death bed. They don’t ever answer when you press the call button for help.I would not let my grandparents ever go there again nor would I want you or your family in there.

I had my knee replaced - went to falls run to be cared for post surgery. It took 11 1/2 - ELEVEN and one half hours to get pain medication to me after I checked in there. I was crying with 10 pain. For 8 hoursI checked them out before I came and my insurance approved my stay - I followed up the day before surgery. They knew I was coming. After my meds got there - I requested pain meds every 4 hours as prescribed. I did not get them. The staff either disappeared or got an attitude and said they did not have time to get me my meds. One woman chewed me out for asking.I called a friend and left after 2 days.Never again.

Ive been to this location on a weekly basis to visit with my grandmother and another friend who happen to break her neck. I can say this building is clean, but thats about it. I see a huge amount of negligence, not only with my family member and my friend but with other residence at this location. I have noticed in the cafeteria many elderly needing help and no one seems to care. I feel this place is completely understaffed. The staff that is employed here avoid conversation and/or questions. They avoid all eye contact for that matter. If you ask for help, seems its a bother or inconvenience. The food looks horrible, and by the looks of it I personally would not feed this to my dog. The rooms are big and the place is clean. Plenty of parking. Everything else about this place is appalling. Its sad and such a same. This is our elderly, who have worked hard their entire life and this is what is what they get? If you have family or friends at this location, make sure you visit often otherwise they make get ignored by the staff.Share reviewWrite an updateEdit review

Ive read the other reviews. The place is understaffed, yes, but not at all hours. Mostly in the evening. My mom and I visit Dad every day and we both find the staff very willing to address all of our concerns, helpful, etc. Food is really bad. Dad refuses to eat it so we bring him food. We have never encountered any disgruntled or unhappy staff. They care about their patients. This has been our experience, at least. I ask Dad everytime I go how things are. He would tell me, Mom, the director anyone he could get to if he was unhappy.

My mom has been at Falls Run Nursing home for 5 years and 3 month so far. For my review to date, my testimony is my mom has been taken care of very well. I have visited a lot of different nursing homes and this one is very clean and they truly do try their best to do great care for the patients. No facility is perfect, but when there is any issue arise, Falls Runs Administrative staff has been very responsive and they provide quick solutions for resolve. I truly appreciate that level of cmmittment. And since COVID-19 has occurred, Falls Run has put in strict saftey protcols for all staff and vistors. The have made virtual communications available for the loved ones and the residents to stay connected. And you have to make scheduled appointemnts and all visits are timed and monitored. The saftey protcols and measures are strictly enforced. With all the scary stories about nursing homes during the pandemic, Falls Run have stayed true to practicing and enforcing all saftey protocols to include contstant communications and updates regarding safety COVID protocols. I am very pleased with their care, concern and compassion during these difficult times. I am very engaged and courteous with all levels of the personnel staff and shifts. And everyone has been very responsive to any of my concerns and care so far. I give special KUDOSs and THANK YOUs to the CNAs, the Activities Directors, the Social Worker, the front door entrance to safety protocols and the 2nd Floor Unit Nurse station and the remainder Falls Run Staff (Cooks, Cleaning/laundry person, Handyman/Driver person).THANK YOU FALLS RUN STAFF FAMILY for the continued saftey, care, concern, compassion, professionalism and hard work everyone does for the loved ones under their care, to include my mother. God Bless.
