My family has been with this practice for years, very disappointed with MWHC take over. The office staff displays rude and threatening behaviors. We miss Chancellor Internal Medicine it was a great place, you received top notch care and a friendly office atmosphere.

Dr Takhar was extremely thorough and uncovered why Ive been so exhausted lately. Im so thankful for the care I have received here and feel like I have finally found a Dr who will take the time to listen to me and find answers to my symptoms. Ive never had more energy.

I am a long time patient of Chancellor Internal Medicine and had to get a form signed off on by a medical professional for a coaching position for Stafford County schools, very simple sign off (they have my records.) It was not for a physical was a tuberculous questionnaire. And the office person said I need to schedule and office visit and pay for it. Its a simple questionnaire would have taken 5 minutes, I will be looking for another primary care physician.

Have been a patient of Dr Clemo’s since 2010. She has retired and MWHC has taken over the practice. The service is awful cannot get a simple appt for a throat gland issue. No fever yet want me to be triaged over the phone next week or go to the ER. Under COVID protocol but if ethics is the service this practice is giving then one has to decide if the need to see a new doctor.

Just walked out after sitting in a room alone for almost 30 mins, zero communication if the NP was doing something else. 45 mins and only having my vitals taken and zero communication is a bit much for me. Appointments dont mean a thing anymore. Time to find another primary care provider.

I have been coming here for years and my last few weeks experience with them has been horrific. Called for a refill repeatedly, finally get a call 2 weeks later after my medication had lapsed giving me a 30 day refill. Made an appointment for an exam and to get meds refilled. Then told that because I lapsed in meds I need to get blood work to prove I’m not pregnant or I can’t be given birth control. They charged my insurance $259 for the pregnancy test and I’m supposed to be out of pocket $80. Utterly ridiculous. They consistently do not return calls and voicemails and every bill has to called and contested because of errors. My husband showed up for his appointment same week and after being placed in the exam room no one came for 30 min. He had to walk out because he had work meetings and couldn’t spend more time hoping someone would come in and let him know what was going on.

I have been going here for 2-3 years. I used to regularly see nurse practitioner Kristen Hill, and I now see nurse practitioner Melanie Wiest. The nurse practitioners at this office are amazing. You can tell that they care about their patients. The front desk staff are very nice and make scheduling a breeze. If you go to this office you don’t have to always wait for the doctors, nurse practitioners have 6+ years of schooling and are fully educated and knowledgeable. They are fully capable of diagnosing and writing prescriptions.

After some less than good recent experiences with doctors, I took a family members advice and made an appointment at Chancellor Internal and I was assigned to Kristin (Nurse Practitioner). From the start I knew I was better hands. She is warm, friendly, and an excellent listener. Kristin listened to my history and concerns and I left the appointment feeling so relieved that I have finally found the right family doc. I even recommended that my ex-wife go see her.

I have seen Dr. Ameen here for a few years now. I have a plethora of health issues (29 surgeries, neuropathy, pins, screws, plate, and more) and Dr. Ameen has done his absolute best to try to help me and find some form of comfort for me.The staff have always been kind as well.

Julie at Chancellor Internal Medicine is the rudest person, with the exception of Elaine that I have ever spoken with. I called earlier today because of a problem my husband was having in regards to his medication. I had to hang up once as I was interrupted with a call. Called back and could hear Julie talking in the background but never said hello so hung up again. Called again and someone picked up and hung up without saying anything. Called back again and was speaking with Patricia and could clearly hear Julie speaking in the background about me. What a HIPAA violation !!!!! Suppose I was another patient. This will be reported. They should not be representing Chancellor Internal Medicine in this way. Patricia, on the other hand, is the sweetest, most compassionate receptionist that I have encountered in that office. Obviously the aforementioned receptionists need further training in proper customer service or better yet, get a job where they dont have to deal with people.

Horrible experience. First off, the provider I saw is no longer with the practice, and for what I am assuming was good reason per the experience I had with him. Poor bedside manner, no problem solving. Secondly, I was charged for a visit I specifically requested not to be charged with, and when I approached them for resolution, the answer I got was Well the provider is no longer with the practice, we cannot do anything about it. I was disconnected twice during this call looking for resolution, and when I asked to speak with an office manager, they stated they do not even have one. What kind of management system is that? So they have basically told me I am out that money and there is nothing they can do about, even though is was an error on their end. Very unprofessional, would not recommend to anyone.UPDATE: Was called back by another member of the staff. Was told the same thing, that since the doctor is no longer there, they cannot do anything. I was told to call my new physicians office that the bill is from and ask them to code their visit differently, even though they were the ones who provided the correct service. They were told they have no proof that I did not request said specific service, even though it was their staff who did not document this, which I was told they usually do. So now their mistakes (why is it my fault their staff did not document properly?) continue to pile up and they still will not admit fault. Horrible practice.

Ive been going here for about two years now and am overall happy with the practice. Dr. Nguyen has been great with helping me with my disorder, always greets me with an upbeat and positive attitude, takes time to answer all of my questions and concerns and I never feel rushed through my exam. Her patient care coordinator, Regina, is always on top of it. She answers voicemails in a very prompt manner and even when I show up on pretty short notice she is always happy to help me. I remember a day I had stopped by to get my script and had a question about my check up schedule. Some people have a negative view of my medication and I was so impressed when Regina brought me into the hallway to quietly discuss my questions about my medication and check ups rather than discuss it in a lobby full of people. In general, Im not a huge fan of the lobby staff but Patricia has been nothing but awesome. She is always friendly and professional and tackles any potential issues in a very reasonable and goal oriented manner. I called fairly (possibly more than fairly, heh) frustrated about an ongoing issue and spoke to Patricia and Regina who each patiently listened to everything I had to say and met my frustration with understanding. They not only did everything possible to get my issues resolved as fast as possible but worked to establish the best solution for my case and concerns all the while keeping me updated throughout the entire process.I really appreciate all that the do, what a great bunch!

Unfortunately, I had the privilege of speaking to Patricia who hung up on me after the fact that I have stated how urgent I needed to speak to Dr. Ameens staff. Also thank you so much Elaine for being the front gates of this well established office, because of you I wanted a Tylenol, your condescending voice probably irks every one that hears it. Also to Dr. Ameens staff, after speaking to the MA or nurse who was very rude because I was asking for strength and dose of a medication you prescribed. Then finding out that I have to ask my Dementia resident for the dosage and strength in order for her past doctor to write her an updated prescription, WOW. All I can say is WOW. Doctor might be amazing but the lack of customer service this office has alters that assumption. Thank you for reminding me of who I do not want to be.

I have seen both Dr. Ameen and practitioner Kristin Hill (who I now see regularly). Kristin has been a life changer. I came to see her in 2015, exhausted from dealing with depression and anxiety. After not being able to get an appointment with a single psychiatrist from DC to RVA, I desperately made an appointment at Chancellor. Kristin helped me with this, and ended up detecting a thyroid issue based on prior blood work from another doctor. She has absolutely nailed the perfect recipe to getting me back to a better, healthier person. I really appreciate her. The office staff is also great. Highly recommend.

One good thing I did not have to wait long in waiting room. The dr I saw I wasnt happy with. I requested I see another dr and they won’t allow that in their practice. I saw that dr once- what’s the big deal? Too bad- I wanted this place to work out.

Sometimes the wait for an appointment is longer than desired but that often happens when the doctor has a significant number of patients. Dr. Ameen and his staff have taken care of me and my wife for the past 10 years. Whenever I needed to see a specialist, Dr. Ameen has always recommended the best doctors in the Mary Washington Hospital care system and I cannot be happier with his care and that of his staff.

Have been going here since middle school and my family has been seeing Dr. Ameen since I was 5 years old (now 26) they have progressively gotten very unsatisfactory. I need anti-depressants and I ran out they refused to see me over a $100 bill even though i offered to pay my next appointment in full and pay half of what I owe. My dad is diabetic and it has now been 3 days they have not sent the prescription he needed, the pharmacy tried calling and they never responded. Very disappointing, sad to say because it use to be a great office but not any more.

THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN. Dr. Roopareliya. Let me start off to say I was trying to switch to a different doctors location and found this one online because the reviews were good. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS MAN LOL. I go in because I need medicine refills, i take medicine for anxiety that i have been diagnosed with for a few years. He starts asking me why am I on this drug? Why have I been hospitalized? (Never have been hospitalized in my life.) Just asks a lot of why questions like he wants you to admit something. That was just the first visit. Sheesh. Today the second one was even worse, I was dreading going because I knew from last time i was going to be talked down to again, and basically accused of being a drug dealer. I come in to see this man and I’ve been taking urine tests in order to get my medicine, he ask so me “why did your medicine not show up in your urine? That’s very interesting.” Like what?.... uhm I have no idea I take it every day? I said up front i don’t know that’s weird. He then started asking me how much am i taking a day? Am I hallucinating? And if i even knew what haullunicating meant. He also asked where was I living, and how my home life was. Keep in mind i never put myself on these pills, they were given to me by a previous doctor and now I am basically being accused of being an addict. He is very condescending, looks at you like you are a lunatic. And just walks out the door without a second thought. Easiest worst experience of my life, I felt so insulted and just left in the worst mood ever. Now back to finding another doctor but honestly, bozo the clown would be better than this man. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

I typically do not write reviews. However, having had one of the worst experiences of my life I feel compelled to do so. I was told that the practice has a new doctor and that they are trying to build his patient base. So I agreed to see Dr Roopareliya. It is my opinion that this doctor has the absolute worst bedside manner Ive ever encountered. He continually talked down to me and was extremely condescending. I personally wouldnt recommend Dr Roopareliya to anyone. Just awful.
