This review is being done by Chandra Smith. I became a new patient of Dr. Changs a few months ago and have seen his P.A. initially and Dr. Chang twice. I have a complex medical history and Dr. Chang spent extensive time reviewing my medical records. He was extremely patient and listened intently to my current medical complaints as well as allowing me time to discuss any concerns that I had. He showed a genuine compassion for my health concerns. Both Dr. Chang and his P.A. have an excellent bedside manner. They both did a thorough medical evaluation and ordered lab work as well as other tests that needed to be done for a quite a while. Dr. Chang encouraged me to start taking proper care of myself so that I am able to continue to take care of others. I have complete confidence in Dr. Chang to manage my complex medical care. I have had the opportunity to speak with multiple staff members and all of them have been friendly, efficient, accommodating and sympathetic to my needs as a patient. I am extremely thankful and blessed to be a patient in their practice!

Im not a fan of the phone system! This is however the BEST set of Doctors, Nurses and support staff I have ever experienced.. Super friendly, kind and they actually care about their patients. I consider myself super lucky to have them on my side...

My husband is Dr Chang’s patient and I’ve been trying to get in since last year. They weren’t taking any new patients cause of COVID 19. I was able to finally get in. The office was very clean. I just had a kidney transplant so it was very important that they were taking every precaution to follow COVID protocol and be clean. The nurse was super nice. Dr Chang was very thorough. He was very nice and listen to what I had to say and asked if there was anything else he can help with.

Dr. Chang was very thorough and listened to all my concerns. He was pro-active in ordering appropriate tests and in referrals to necessary specialists.I felt very comfortable with him. His manner is caring and professional.I liked his nurse too.

I have been a patient under Dr. Chang for the past 17 years. Dr. Chang has always been professional and has answered any of my questions. Not accepting new patients and office wont recommend or even let me know who other doctors are in the area. The reviews are worthless for someone looking for a doctor if said doctor is not accepting new patients.

I had a tele visit this morning. The nurse called and went over my records right on time. Dr. Chang signed on and everything went very smoothly.Commonwealth Internal Medicine has always taken care of our needs and lived up to expectations during this pandemic. Thank you for always helping us!!

Dr. Chang and his staff are wonderful. They listen intently, review your chart and ask follow up questions. Dr. Chang asked whether I was staying safe from the COVID-19 virus which I thought showed concern for my well being.

Dr.Chang is a real people person down to earth and easy to talk to.The telehealth conference I had today was easy and did not require dealing with traffic.Everything was taken of on the visit.

Trying to book an appointment as a new patient. Online shows they are now excepting new patients and every time I call the office, I hear they are not excepting new patients until next year. I’m bummed 😕 and a little confused. Really trying to book an appointment ASAP

A long time patient of this practice, I have had several PAs as well as Dr Chang himself, now I continue to see him. They are all very compassionate and patient. This refers to previous telephone conferences with Dr. Norman Anyi Chang- on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and again on August 10, 2020. Both lasted approximately 15 minutes each . A referral to a medical specialist was arranged for me, at the first session and suggested action steps were outlined for the next meeting -in three months. Im honored to give testimony re Dr. Chang, a talented intellectual who genuinely seems to care about his patients. He has been our primary care physician since 2006. My wife, a centenarian, passed away early this year). She used to refer to Dr. Chang as The Good Doctor whenever she talked to others about the care he (and his outstanding staff) provided her.I feel especially fortunate to have Dr. Chang as PCP because he is a caring attentive, organized person; effective as a manager and someone who has a quiet demeanor that exudes confidence in his abilities. He easily assures (and reassures me, as well) -often.Dr. Chang and I are both ex-New Yorkers. Earlier, we used to extemporarily banter about the Big Apple as part of our office sessions. Now, those times are largely gone -with the onset of electronics (e.g.,Tablet). I consider him a friend; a cool professional who helped my wife attain 100+ years. I anticipate benefiting from the magic hes going to use/need on ME, his next longevity project!

Dr. Chang is a professional in all aspects. An expert. He takes his time, listens and evaluates. I would highly recommend Dr. Chang and his caring, highly skilled staff.

Today was my 2nd phone video appointment with Dr. Chang. From a medical and health related perspective, the consultation was excellent as always. However, for the 2nd time in a row, speaking only of the quality of the audio and video connection, the video was fine for both of us and Dr. Chang said he could hear me OK, but I could barely hear him. I had my audio turned up to the maximum and still had trouble hearing him. Several times Id have to put the phones speaker directly to my ear to try to make out what he was saying. If there is a way for me to put my end on speaker phone, I did not see any way of doing that since it was not done as a regular phone call. Hope we can get that problem worked out in the future.
