Weve sent 2 Siberian Husky puppies through the 2 week Board and Train. It is 100% worth the money. If you know anything about Huskies then you know they require a lot of work and attention. Having our dogs trained gives us a way to make exercise and play time constructive. Not being pulled like a sled across the Alaskan tundra on walks is a huge plus too. If you want your dog to not only be obedient but to also enjoy working, theres no better place to look.I personally recommend trainer Sara. She was great and trained both of our dogs. She kept us informed every day with the progress our dogs made and answered all of our questions (and boy did we have a lot of questions.) Being away from my dog for 2 weeks worried me at first, but I quickly felt better because of Saras professionalism and candor.BTW, the picnic table picture was taken while she was in the Place command. She held that position the entire time we were there, even though lots of distractions to include people coming up to pet her and other dogs walking by. K9OL training works.

Great for training stubborn dogs too. Extremely happy with the results and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have confident well trained dogs. Absolutely amazing!

Our pup Pippa has done both the beginner training at the location off of Route 17 and did the one week board and train at the Downtown Fredericksburg location with Tiffany. We are so happy and impressed. Pippa had issues with confidence on walks around other dogs and people and this training has made her more confident out in public. Today, while walking her downtown after the training I heard people around us remark look at how well behaved that dog is. We even passed other dogs who barked at her and she ignored them and kept on walking which is a huge success. We accidentally walked by the whole K9 Off-leash crew who had about 5 dogs with them and we walked straight down the middle of them with huge success.I was very hesitant to do the board and train due to other reviews but found out that the trainers take the dogs home with them and train them as their own and felt much more comfortable about it. Tiffany sent us daily update videos to show how well Pippa was doing.She is even doing better at home listening more consistently, not jumping up and being more patient in doorways. Our whole family is so thankful and impressed with Pippas progress and Tiffanys hard work.Now that K9 Off-leash has worked with us it is up to me as the owner to maintain the consistency and keep up the momentum. I know that if I do not and we loose some of the success we have gained that is on me. We will be taking daily walks out in public so she can keep up the consistency. Pippa is a 11 month old cattle dog mix who came from a rescue.

I can not thank Off Leash K9 Training, Fredericksburg and our trainer Sam enough. We were able to get both our dogs in at the same time for a two week board and train program. Hands down best decision we have ever made. Our home is so much less chaotic and when we do go on walks as a big family its much easier to manage not only our wonderful dogs, but also our two children. Ive had several neighbours ask us how they changed so quickly and comment on how well they are at listening. I have also recommended them to so many of our military friends and families because its amazing, I am no longer embarrassed when guests come over about how my dogs will act. Worth it, would do it again in a heart beat, and the staff is phenomenal and made us feel extremely welcome and at home. I know my dogs were in amazing hands the entire time and will always recommend them. Thank-you so much!

We just finished our Basic and Advanced training for our English Mastiff. Since Archie is going to be about 200 lbs, we wanted professional help so he would be manageable. After the 8 week training program, we have the knowledge and confidence to keep our Mastiff controlled by using commands taught to us by the trainers. Special thanks to Brandon who is undoubtedly the dog whisperer. He gave us insight that we would never have thought about our mastiff. He and his team of trainers helped Archie learn the commands and help socialize him with many people all around in uncomfortable situations. We now are confident that our 170lb baby will be controllable and be peaceful to strangers. I highly recommend the program as they explain in detail what to do and how to train your own dog.

Paid up front for lessons and never heard back after they sent the PayPal address to pay. Tried calling and texting (This is the only way they respond) with no luck. When you call they send you to a generic call center for OffLeash and have their admin put a note for your location trainers to call you. I called them four times and each time asked the woman to have a trainer call, not text. Every time they would text and when I asked to speak over the phone they were too busy. The guy who I originally spoke with, Steve, never confirmed he got the money even after two weeks and multiple texts/ voicemails. He never moved forward to set up appointments. After I sent the money he just ignored all of my communication. It felt scammy, especially after seeing the $1000 clear my account. Finally got my money back when I was able to text another trainer to find out what was going on.

Sara has helped transform my hyper all over the place puppy into a reliable companion. I love the fact that the dogs stay with the trainers for the entire 2 weeks which helps them develop such a close bond with the dogs and that helps reinforce their training in a positive , loving environment. I know that Zambi really enjoyed her time with Sara. She even helped me deal with her food issues because she is a picky eater and she took it upon herself to get to the core of the issue which was selectivity. She kept in touch with me the entire time with daily email updates and photos and videos which I really looked forward to everyday while she was away. Even after the training was over she kept in touch with me and followed up about her transition at home. All in all an amazing professional experience and would highly recommend ! Thank you Sara!

AwesomeSully had his first class with the off leash team and he was overwhelmed with the amount of attention, care, and affection we received. This group of young folks have it figured out. We cant wait for our next class.

Everyone should go through this training! My dog Bailey was VERY reactive to dogs on leash before this training, even after going through two previous trainers that couldnt help her. We went through 8 weeks of training and now I can finally walk her through the neighborhood and not have to worry at all. Her reactiveness caused us to leave her home a lot when going places but now we dont have to! The training also helped with basic obedience in our home, we can put her into a place during dinner and she stays there until we break her. Same with when people come to the door so she isnt rushing/jumping on the person or running out the door. We also had a HUGE win the other day-Bailey actually did a hike off leash and responded to all of her commands, never in a million years would I have thought this could be our reality! I cant recommend them enough! I wish I did this 3 years ago when we adopted her. Now all of our future dogs will go through this training. Also for the people commenting about the cost and that you could buy an e-collar online without doing the training-YOU also need the training to learn how to properly use it. If youre thinking about doing this training DO IT!

Our eight year old toy poodle, Almaz, had not spent much time socializing with other dogs, and would bark at anything, including leaves falling from a tree near our deck. Inasmuch as we were preparing to move to Hawaii, and transition from a large home to a condo life, we needed to change Almazs behavior. Off Leash K9 Training recommended Tiffany, and we signed up for two weeks of boarding and training. We could see the results in videos Tiffany sent to us regularly, but were even more pleased when we continued the e-collar training at home. Almaz now takes long walks with us and pays attention to us, not his surroundings. He looks forward to training sessions and his walks with us, and is much better behaved in all respects. Tiffany is excellent at her profession, and her training clearly made a big difference!

We love these people! They turned our exuberant,terror puppy into one we can manage and really have fun with. We did the basic obedience and trained the dog ourselves for three weeks between visits for around $500 or so. It has been worth every penny. We have a miniature Australian Shepherd who loves to chew (has learned the off command) and loves to pull on the leash and has learned to heel. Wonderful staff and very knowledgeable.

Damien was highly recommended to me. He has been working with my dog for a couple months now and we have both learned a lot. And she’s much more well behaved and walking with her is much easier. He has been a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I worked with Damien Beam. I have a four year old German Shepherd who’s a handful. Damien was patient with both of us and guided both myself and my dog to achieve greatness. He truly is extremely talented when it comes to working with dogs.

If you are looking for the perfect trainer - look no further than Damien Beam. I had lost hope in this company- but Damien has brought that back. He had my dog Paris for 2 weeks and did an excellent job in her training. Not only does he train he becomes apart of your dogs life. I cant say enough good things. We signed our 9 month old charcoal lab Parker up for the 2 week board and train. Before off leash K9 Parker had to have 2 emergency visit with 1 resulting in emergency surgery due to her getting into and eating EVERYTHING. She would jump on people and run off if she was let outside the fence to play with her brother. Life with Parker was stressful until Tiffany took over and transformed her into the most well behaved pup in Fredericksburg. She no longer jumps, runs away, or eats things she shouldn’t. We were able to take her to a cabin in the mountains for a few days without having to stress about what she might do. We can’t thank off leash K9 of Fredericksburg and her amazing trainer Tiffany enough for making life with Parker way more enjoyable!

We brought our 2 1/2 old GSD Bear to OLK9 because he was rowdy, he didnt listen to commands and was incredibly hard headed. We signed him up for the basic and advanced classes which were 8 classes over 8 weeks. We were beyond blessed to have Damien as our trainer. He was SO patient yet firm when he needed to be with Bear. He developed an AMAZING bond with Bear, one of respect and understanding. Damien knew how to handle Bears temper tantrums and get him back on course to learn his lesson for that week, in addition to reviewing the previous weeks lessons. When you sign up for lessons you not only get your dog trained by the BEST (Damien) you build a wonderful relationship with your dogs trainer, because it is truly a team effort. Damien explained to us and helped us understand Bears actions & behaviors and why he may be struggling to master certain parts of his training. He also stressed how important it is to continue the training at home between lessons. Damien was available to us if we had questions or concerns between lessons and is a REMARKABLE trainer! We cannot thank him enough for turning our hard headed boy into the well behaved and obedient good boy he is today! Damien will always have a special place in our pack!is truly part of our pack now!

Highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training!! I thought I would never be able to train my two Australian Shepherds because they have so much energy and wouldnt listen, but somehow they did it! Damien really took the time to work around my schedule and cater to the needs of each of my dogs. You can tell he really cares about them and the quality of the training. I used to not be able to take my dogs out in public without them barking and pulling on the leash but now theyre as perfect as can be and I couldnt be happier! If youre looking for a dog whisperer to work some magic, look no further; Damiens your guy!!

We rescued a shepherd/malinois mix. Adorable, but SUCH high energy and was running the show at home. We have been working with Damien for a few weeks now and the difference is night and day. Damien has such patience with our pup, he works until things are just perfect. Highly recommend!!!

Bought this as a Christmas present for a family member on 11/29/19 only to find out that her boyfriend had bought it as well.Tried to contact the business via email 12/01/19 and called them on 12/06/19 @ 12:03pm and they stated a refund would be processed also was told a manager would call me and nothing. Family member talked to one of the trainers and same no follow up. It is now 01/03/2020 and still no refund has been issued. So far $1000 later and only one dog trained.2 star giving for the training.As far as the training: family member states it has been great and working.Update 01/14refund was finally issued on 01/06/2020, though im not certain if this is due to my bank or the facility. But i received a notice from my bank that my claim was now resolved.

We wanted to have our 3 month old Great Dane trained, so we signed her up for the puppy training with Joe. Training went well for puppy basics and she learned alot as did us humans. Our now 6 month old Dane Belle started to try and find her place in the pack and started biting my wife, so before it got completely out of hand we contacted OFK9, and we went back to OFK9 and set her up for a week of in-house training with Damien Beam..........She is a completely new dog and a joy to be around after her week with Damien. OffLeash K9 did Amazing work with her and trained us people as well.............Highly Recommend!!!!!

I had a terrible experience with k9 off leash training in Fredericksburg, VA and do not recommend K9 off leash training.We purchased a basic training package for one of our dogs. First session went well and the trainer we met with, Sara (sp?), was competent, pleasant and communicated very well. Our second session was with another traner (young male, not sure of his name) and he was quite rude and had trouble communicating effectively. He struggled to get our dog to do the command even with the training collar. We suffered through the experience and booked our next session with Sara. That went well again but on our last session she was out sick and we got the other trainer. He was just as rude and excused it as normal because he was filling in for a sick employee but really he was just as rude the first time. I asked if we could simply reschedule and he told me, yes, I need you to cancel the appointment. When I asked why he admitted that if I cancel the appointment I would need to pay for another, regardless of the fact that he was unable to meet the training obligation on the scheduled date. I left and called the main office, sent an email and texted our sales rep. Two weeks and no response from them at all. Terrible customer service and I still have not received the training I paid for.My advice is that with all of the other trainers available in Fredericksburg its best to Avoid K9 off Leash.Incidently the magic is in the ET-300 training collar, which can be purchased online for $179, theres no need to pay K9 off leash for it.HTH

I paid for the training and heard nothing back. When I called I was promised a call back “ASAP”, to no avail. I seems as though they make you pay up front online and hope you go away while they keep your money.
