We enrolled our 1 year old energetic Golden Retriever, Harley in obedience training and we saw a difference immediately. Harley loves CeCe, her trainer, and is excited whenever she gets to play with her furry friends.

We sent our almost one year old Australian Shepherd to training. She wouldn’t listen or would listen on her terms only. Phil had her walking without a leash and heeling and sitting when he stopped, coming when called, sitting, laying dawn and staying in place when she came home. We live on 3 acres with woods around us and need her to come when called. She does that now. Highly recommended the training. Lucy loved her time there.

Phil and Jason were absolutely AMAZING! Oakley was originally supposed to go to 2 week board and train in March. But thanks to covid, we had to push it back. I HAVE A BRAND NEW DOG! She has so much confidence, listens on first command, and is all around 100% better! Also got pictures and videos the entire time! Could not have asked for anything more!

We left our puppy, Lily, with Jason from Dogs 4 Dayz for 3 nights when we went on a mini-vacation. She was able to play with several other dogs, got some training and overall just had a great time! We really appreciated the professional and personable service both Phil and Jason provided. Communication was clear and prompt and they sent pics and updates each day! We will definitely bring her back!

When we got Max, he was a sweet, affectionate little guy, with no manners whatsoever. He would pull terribly when we tried to walk him, he wouldn’t come when called, and he would bark frantically at anything that moved outside. And don’t even ask about our shoes, blankets or the TV remote! After weeks of another basic training program, he just wasn’t getting it. So, at our wit’s end, we called Phil. The change in Max after two weeks is astonishing! We can take him for a walk, he doesn’t chew the remote or run off with our shoes. When we call him, he comes to us. He sits, heels, lays down and places on command. We are overjoyed and can’t thank Phil enough for taking our good dog and turning him into a GREAT dog!

Phil does such an amazing job. I took my foster Shadow there today because he had been cooped up at home for a few days from the rain and he had a blast. Since Shadow can be timid and nervous in new environments Phil did an incredible job making him comfortable. He also sent me pictures and videos all day which just made me feel so much more at ease and thrilled that he was getting such great care. Very very glad to have met Phil and have the ability to bring Shadow there to continue his socialization.

Phil-just thought I’d give you a walking update on Cooper and Bosco since their 2 week Board and Train with you. In short these are two new and amazing dogs. Lisa and I walked both together (on and off leash) today and it was such a great experience. Never strayed from our sides. Not distracted by people or cats. Immediately went into sit every time we stopped. Incredible! Very happy and well behaved dogs. You’ve done a great job and we are reaping the benefits. Thank you!

Just picked up our 4 yr old boxer/pit Marley from Training/boarding. She has learned several commands, training with an E-collar and were able to walk her without pulling. Look out Fredericksburg, a new well behaved dog in the city.

We brought home a lovely dog who needed a loving home but had some issues. Phil came to see our new dog Duke and in one session, hes had a complete turn around. He went from scared and showing his teeth, to a much more loving and relaxed dog. We still have some work to do, but Phil has set us up for success.

We boarded our 6 month old pup with Jason and it was awesome. I was nervous because I hadn’t done this before but it was a great experience for Bash and us. We will definitely be using them again for “sleepovers “ 💛

Communication was great, pictures and updates everyday, responses were prompt. Definitely recommend for boarding if you are looking for a loving family atmosphere.

Phil does one heck of a job. I have used him for walks and some training. Now that he has a day care and training facility I can use him on the daily. He has worked with my dog who I thought was the most hardheaded one around but turns out he is pretty damn smart. I wouldnt go anywhere else but to this place. Thanks to Phil and his love for dogs, Red has a second home.

If you are looking for someone to care for your dog/s the same way that you do at home then Dogs 4 Dayz is for you! There’s nothing better than knowing that while you’re gone away someone who loves dogs the way that you do is going to care for yours. Anyone can walk a dog or let a dog out but not everyone cares enough to give your dog/s the attention deserved while you’re away. Dogs 4 dayz took such wonderful care of my dogs while we went out of town! My dogs were so well behaved for him and his family and did not display their typical crazy behaviors! I was more worried my dogs were driving them nuts but Phil sent lots of pictures and set my mind at ease that they were fine! Great experience and will definitely use dogs 4 dayz on our next vacation!!!!

Phil was great with our puppy, Fergie!! They have been working hard to learn how to heel on a leash and she is getting it!! I didnt think it was possible- shes a wiggle butt puppy but she wanted to please him! He really took the time to form a relationship with our dog! Thanks, Phil!

Phil Elrod is an expert trainer! His ability to connect with the dogs is truly wonderful. He has worked with our 1 year old pomsky Skylar to quickly learn, sit, heel, and stay. Having had Huskies all our lives, we were particularly skeptical when Phil said he could teach her to be off leash. Much to our surprise, he able to get her be off-leash! We had Skylar with him for two weeks and while it was hard to be away from her, the results speak for themselves. We also appreciate his conscientious follow-up and his openness to our barrage of questions. His patience & guidance with both us & Skylar is commendable. We highly recommend his expertise.

I’ve trusted Phil and his family with my puppy Goldendoodle and my rescue (very skittish and shy) Bernadoodle and had amazing success! I own three labradors and my youngest was lovable and energetic but naughty. He wouldn’t obey me especially when it came to door manners (rushing in and out). Dashing in and out of the car, leash pulling, and constant barking to get to other dogs, cats, squirrels when we’d walk. I’m happy to say that after a 2 week board and train with Phil Elrod of Dogs4dayz, my naughty boy has been transformed. Just one day back at home and all his bad behaviors have disappeared. He responded so positively to the off-leash remote collar. I loved Phil’s daily texts with photos and videos and updates. It was comforting knowing my dog was in a loving environment with a trainer who was loving on my dog!

Phil has been an absolute saint in our eyes! Not only did he love on our Lola like she was his own but he worked diligently with her (she’s very stubborn and full of sass) to give her the firm foundation of manners she desperately needed. Wow! Where do I start with the Dog “Whisperer” 4 Dayz. Let me start by saying our cute little Ovi (Pomsky) comes with quite the personality. He would not listen AT ALL. He would actually do the opposite every time. I would say come and he would run. My husband and I realized we needed some help and needed it fast as we were starting to wonder what we signed up for with this little rascal. Several people recommend Dogs 4 Dayz and so we signed up for a week to start. One week later we had a new dog that listened and responded to every basic command. We really couldn’t believe it. We were so excited with the results that we wanted to keep going so we did the advanced training where he can go anywhere without a leash and stay right next to my left knee. (Heel) - Keep in mind this dog has husky in him and they are known for PULLING sleighs. Not anymore!! He also taught him to stay in his bed when I’m in the kitchen cooking. One word command and he’s in his bed and does not leave until I say break. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I’m still in shock. Dog 4 Dayz is the best investment I have made with my animals. My daughter just said yesterday “Mom, now that Ovi is good we can take him everywhere”. YES WE CAN!! Thanks you Dog 4 Dayz!! The best decision and investment I have made. If your considering- DO IT!!!

Phil came highly recommended by our breeder, Purely Pomskies and we now know why: Phil was wonderful with our little girl, Skylar. He picked her up (over an hour away from him) and boarded & trained her for a week. He allowed her to interact with his dogs, let her sleep with him and worked with her on sit, heel, distractions & getting in & out of the car. We received daily updates wth pictures and videos. We could tell how well she was treated and how much she enjoyed being at Phils. When we returned he worked with myself & my husband to train us how to work with Skylar. He treated her so well we wont be thinking about using our prior boarding service. She was so happy & comfortable, she actually whimpered as he walked away. If anyone is seeking the best place to train and/or board, we highly recommend Dogs 4 Dayz. We know Skylar is already looking forward to her next two week adventure at Dogs 4 Dayz - thank you, Phil, for everything!

We are breeders who dont normally trust our puppies to anyone but immediate family. We needed one of our boys boarded for a week and becasue we have known Phil for over a decade, we asked him to keep our special boy. Crash was treated like royalt! Within 5 minutes of us dropping him off, he felt at home. Phil was super vigalent about sending us updated photos and videos. We cant thank him enough for how well he took care of him and would highly recommend him in the future.
