I have worked along side the owners and senior staff at Fullbrook for many years and I have personally sent patients to them. You will not find a more understanding, capable and friendly staff anywhere. I have had multiple patients referred to this team come out with extreme quality of life improvement after being unsuccessful at multiple other treatment attempts. Highly Recommend.

To say my that stay at the Fullbrook Center was one of the best experiences of my life is an understatement. It was life-changing.I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone on the staff was so welcoming and so interested and caring with what we were going through. The classes, small groups and one-on-one therapy was exceptional. the food was fabulous and the accommodations were great. I would recommend Fullbrook Center to anybody in need of this kind of help. It was an experience I will forever be grateful for.

From intake/admission all the way through graduation/discharge, Awakenings Hill Country was by far the best treatment experience I couldve hoped for. The RA/tech staff is professional yet understanding. The counselors know exactly what each client needs on a case by case basis; they are flexible to each individual treatment plan. The property is beautiful, the landscape is breathtaking. The common areas and living quarters are very comfortable and very cozy. This place is made to feel like your home away from home for a little while. Awakenings Hill Country truly saved my life. Thank you guys so much!

I will be sober a year on November 15, 2017. This place saved my life. I stayed willingly for 90 days and not a day goes by that I do not use a tool they taught me. I want to say about 9 out of 10 staff members are in recovery themselves. They understood what I was going through and they also modeled for me, how to live life in recovery. I remember being there, seeing how happy the staff members were. I hoped I would achieve that level of happiness in my sobriety. I have, with the tools they have given me. They also offer a class called The Recovery Enrichment Program that elevates your chances of success by over 50 percent (forgive me, I do not remember the exact percentage). The councilors they have are phenomenal. They truly care about each woman there. I love all of the women there who saved my life, even including the nurses on duty! The staff and women I met are my angels that saved my life.IF YOU NEED HELP, THIS PLACE CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. IT SAVED MINE.Grateful alcoholic, Sharon E.

This was a life changer for me. The Love of the staff and their commitment is palpable and genuine. I would without hesitation recommend Awakenings. I believe this place and staff have saved my life. One of my favorite parts of the program and an important tool is the REP sessions. It allowed me a deeper understanding of myself and has given me strong tools to recognize relapse patterns and will play an important role in my continued recover and sobriety . In addition, the EMDR sessions provided, has been a relief and understanding of myself I never had before. I will be continuing with this therapy at home.

When I arrived at Awakenings, I would not even agree to stay for a full 30 days. After 3 weeks, I asked if I could stay for maybe an extra 2 weeks. After nearly two months, I was trying to figure out if I could just stay forever. The nursing staff were always there for me, especially in the first few days. At all hours of the day and night they would patiently and calmly address my wide array of physical ailments (real and imagined) and sometimes just listen to me complain. The counselors strike an impressive balance of calm wisdom and healing kindness with just the right amount of sly humor, for flavor. They taught me how to make better decisions, how to laugh again, and how to love myself (at least a little). When I arrived at Awakenings, I wasnt even sure I wanted to live anymore. When I left, I couldnt wait to find out what other miracles life had in store for me.

If you or a loved one require medical detoxification to start the road to recovery, you are better off looking elsewhere. They do not have standard medical equipment (such as IVs or EKG) on site, nor do they adhere to proper CIWA withdrawal protocols; its essentially like being left at a farmhouse. Other items of lesser importance to note - there is not a designated phone line for patient use and there is not a true cafeteria. While these places may look good in photos, dont believe all you read on the websites and be wary of the sales pitch.

The program is individually tailored to treat the clients addiction through 12 step model, nutrition, individual counselling, relapse prevention, yoga, physical exercise and appropriate medication. I spent 60 days here in a comfortable bed and breakfast setting with outstanding kind, compassionate and highly educated staff. The program has helped me grasp a firm understanding of addiction and how to treat the body, mind and spirit. This is the place to come to heal. My experience with the REP program with Jacqueline Katz (who also was my primary counselor, taught Yoga & EMDR) and Ann Martin took me through my childhood trauma and taught me my soul wound and specific information to address it when triggered. Also, EMDR administered by Jacqueline Katz helped to neutralize and lift specific ingrained negative experiences from the past. I was so fortunate to have Jacqueline as my counselor. Jacqueline is extremely insightful and experienced in many modalities of therapy specifically addressing addiction and trauma. My life has profoundly changed! The program director Rebecca Cook was very patient with me during the intake process and is always available to clients.

I recently went through the Recovery Enrichment Program at the Awakenings Hill Country location. This was an amazing program led by Anne Martin. It really helped me to learn about myself. I learned what my soul wound is and what my defense mechanisms are. Now I know what my triggers leading to relapse are. I know how to identify them and how to turn my irrational thoughts into rational thoughts. What I have learned in REP will be something that I will carry out and practice in my daily life. Anne was a great instructor and I received valuable information to achieve sustainable sobriety. I really recommend it to anyone who suffers from addiction and/or trauma.

I recently finished my 90 day stay at Awakenings and I cant say enough great things about this place! The counselors here helped save my life and gave me the tools I need to stay sober. Its a cozy place, used to be a b&b, so it feels really homey. The property is really pretty and peaceful and you see deer all day long. The food is great too. The staff are truly caring and compassionate women, everyone from the RNs, RAs, groundskeeper, chefs, and of course the counselors.I had Lora as a counselor and she seriously helped me more in our first session than any counselor Ive had over the past 20 years. Most of the staff are in recovery themselves so they understand what the clients are going through. Apart from learning about my disease and how to cope with it, I learned a lot about myself and why I am the way I am, and how to have healthy relationships. They offer EMDR therapy and REP (Relapse Enrichment Program), which was a game changer for me.I came here so angry and with no will to live and I left a peaceful woman with a desire to live life, sober. Thank you Ann, Lora, Janice, & Jacqueline for having faith in me, pushing me, and seeing in me what I couldnt see myself.

I dont know where I should start at. While I was there a lot has happen. First, they wanted to take me off my biplor medications because they said it is an addictive medication. (which it is not). I dont believe that they should have people that need to detox there because they dont have the right equipment. Plus the doctor is never there. I didnt see the doctor once. the nurses and the doctor communicated through Text messages.I was also told that my insurance who cover 30 days, but it ended up only covering 22 days. They wanted me to pay the 8 days left at 4400. While I was there I saw staff being unprofessional. One RA there was very rude to clients. One client was feeling good for a while and at an AA meeting I thought she was going to pass out. She I walked her outside and got her water. The RA came out to see what was going on. She told me that she was watching this client but clearly she wasnt. She told me to go back to the meeting as I was walking back I heard the RA yelling at the Client. Saying she should have dress better and sat in the cooler part of the room. The AC wasnt even working at this time. Once we got back from the AA meeting the women ended up leaving the facility in an ambulance. Than a few days later another women wasnt feeling good and she left in an ambulance. Both girls told me the ER doctor stanted that they were getting over medicated and didnt need to take most of the pills that Awakings were giving them. Oh and durning parents weekend a partent order all the girls food both nights. The director was very pissed and upset stating that those parents were enabling us girls. Well the fist night these parents bought us whataburger for the girls that couldnt leave with their families for insurance reasons. The next night the parents were hungry and so were the girls that were part of the family weekend because we didnt get lunch. Bye the time family and the clients were done with a meeting the lunch was already put away. Remind you clients can not get anything out of the fridge with out permission. Those parents felt bad and wanted to eat with their daughter. I can go on about everything that went horriable there. I felt like I was in prison 75% of the time. The only good thing there is when a special cook was there she make amazing lunch, dinner, and desserts. She would even save plates for the girls that were to sick to come eat. There are a few good stuff there, but I wouldnt go back to the rehab.

Do not go! They discharged me on day 5 after a staff member has been verbally attacking me multiple times in front of group. Im mortified at what they have said and done to me. My second night 2:30 am nurse genesin slams open detox door yelling at my roommate, what do you want me to call an uber, its not like I can get you another bed. On my intake Nurse was saying how she knows people who do illegal drugs who run companies just fine!??? Second morning there another nurse started yelling at me when I asked if she heard what happened to our room with nurse night before. She started yelling at me saying I was attacking her and what did I want her to do now bow down before me.I told her she had no right to talk to me like that and shut the door. Next the RA Robin in the house says I havent met you how are you? I explain I was just talked to horribly by the nurse she starts yelling at me to shut up. I calmly reply you asked me how I was feeling I answered you honestly. It was one emotional attack after the next. Upon discharge the counselor Ann ask me to tell her what happened to me. I barely say a word and she starts shaking saying shes getting aggravated by me. I calmly tell her to please chill out and let me speak, you asked me what happened so please be patient and let me tell you. Im a 41 professional, a mother of 4 kids 12 to 23. I can not stress enough how horrible of a place that is. The most love and compassion came from the cook and house keeper and my counselor who was new. regardless of the abuse many of us were there insured. Someone needs to close them down they do nothing but damage you.I can only imagine someone coming off of hard drugs being put through that, they could face wanting to kill themselves being in that prison because you have no respect, no rights. They tell you your family is involved its a lie they use your one phone call as a punisment. Regardless I told them I had a doctors apt on Monday they said cancel they had doctor on sight.I was not taken for blood work until Thursday and no answer on my labs until I asked on Friday evening. I reported incident to director on day 3 with 2 other women. When another incident occurred with one of the same staff members again they told me my husband had to drive 2 hours and leave his new job to get me now. I called police to report and told it was a civil suit issue he could do nothing for me. My addiction was alcohol and marijuana. Please hear me DO NOT come here they make up lies about you and are extremely abusive. Do not put your loved ones in such an unstable environment when they are trying to get sober. They will have nothing but issues. They are not trained for anyone. I was never given a treatment plan and the intake Patrick lied to director Becky saying I said nothing about having a concussion upon my arrival so they did not go by my ER doctors instructions on the treatment of my head injury just days prior to arriving. I had visible proof and doctors records yet a woman same condition was treated with respect and in detox a week, while I was never monitored after first night off detox day 2. Doctor is never there and when he was, he rushed you because he was coming from a clinic day job off to get his kids. I had full insurance coverage and was told I was covered for 30 days but my insurance papers when I got home said only 8. They will lie to get anyone in. They dont even follow their own manual they give all patients. They take your credit card and run charge on it without your consent. Many women can testify to going to a better facility stay away from private owners. They have been reported to the state by many people online ratings are manipulated. I was discriminated against due to my religious beliefs my last day told my silent prayer during morning meditation was me being disruptive and making a scene. They peg you as a addict in detox therefore they dont believe you deserve respect or the medical conditions you come in with regardless. Please believe me the pictures are not truth to the care.
