Front desk was kind and helpful in explaining details about procedures, length of time it’ll take and cost of my implant. Of most places, the cost here for my implant was the least expensive.Alex was through in explaining and answering any concerns I had, was confident and I didn’t feel rushed.When I first reach out to make an appointment, my experience was lacking but when I actually arrived the day of the appointment. I was pleasantly satisfied with my outcome.Dentist experience are never fun but I feel more at ease when I’m treated kindly and my dentist is confident. I’m waiting to hear back from them when my insurance approves of my procedure and is very happy I can finally start this. It’s been over 3 years wait. Finding the right dentist within your budget is always a struggle.

And this molar was the hell of all molars, but Dr. Alex kept cool - like he had done other tough ones like this many times and that kept me from getting panicky. All and all - great job. This was the first cleaning visit where the dentist was called over to check my xrays and teeth in 3 years. It was also the first visit since January. Because of the Pandemic, I was not able to get a cleaning at a three month time period in more than 10 years!Thank you for the excellent services yesterday!

Cat is the best hygienist. She took the time to review xrays in detail with me. Taught me a better way to brush my teeth, use a water pik and we discussed oral hygiene in general. Cannot say enough positive things about Cat and the entire staff. Comfortable place to go for dental work.

After a bad experience at Gentle Dentle Costa Mesa, I had several coworkers recommend Smiles by Alex. I was skeptical at first. However, the doctor and my hygienist at Smiles by Alex have been great. They do not recommend unneeded treatments, they do not sugar coat their diagnosis, and they do not charge unreasonable rates for questionable work. My hygienist in particular has been fantastic - she has worked with me to correct my periodontal issues, and keeps on me to do the things at home that that will keep down my expenses at the dentist. Its refreshing to feel like these folks actually have my best interests in mind.

This is my 2nd time visiting Smiles By Alex. I have an unhealthy fear of the dentist as most people have. The 1st time I visited I had to have a bottom tooth extracted. Alex worked on me and talked me through it the whole time, asking if I was ok and how I was feeling. He reassured me the entire time along with his assistants.So when I had to go back for a 2nd visit, a little over a year later (I have no insurance thats why the long wait) I was naturally a little scared to find out what was wrong but not nervous about how I would be treated. Seen Dr Day who was super sweet and very reassuring and put my heart at ease. Nice to know that the dentists (not just Alex) care deeply about their patients. Thank you to all the Doctors, assistants and staff, you are amazing!

Dr. Alex is an artist. I dont know where to start. I have had 5 dentists in my life. I will not go to anyone except Dr Alex. I came in off a referral and have yet to be dissapointed in the least. Tough as a customer in general working on cruise ships full time I travel the world and always find time to make it to my dentist Dr Alex.

No actual work done yet but everything thus far has been honest and up front with no hype or attempts to upsell with unnecessary extras. Dr. Nguyen is very personable and understanding of your circumstances.I have appointment in two weeks, so will know more then... Hopefully I can edit this to give 5 Stars when I get the complete experience. Right now though....seems to have an excellent beginning. Found them all to be great to deal with, which took the edge off.UPDATE 9/22/17.....Started work today and have the remainder scheduled. Very satisfied all around. Dr. Nguyen lived up to my first impressions (above) and he and his staff were all very pleasant and professional. The old crown removal and installation of the temporary this afternoon were painless. Off to a good start :) 5 Stars.UPDATE 11/14/17......Have gotten a lot more done over the past two months (two lower extractions, bone grafts, root canal and crown, deep cleanings and two fillings, plus a permanent upper and temporary lower partial), all done with little or no pain. Permanent frontier crown looks great and matches perfectly.....whats not to like? Dr. Nguyen and his entire staff have been great for me...still 5 Stars. Now just waiting for the implants.Update 7-23-18: Another painless visit to prep for final implant crown installation in another 3 weeks. Almost done now! :)Update 8-14-18: YAY!!! Got both implants put in today and am very pleased with the result! As always, Dr. Nguyens expertise and excellent staff (Liberty today) made it a smooth and painless ordeal. Glad the wait is over, they look and feel great. Couldnt want more than that.....:)Update 1-23-19: Had an appointment today for cleaning and checkup. As usual, Cat the excellent Hygienist did a fantastic job!!! Shes very professional and observant in making sure your mouth stays healthy and addressing any issues she might find. PERFECT match and completely natural in every way. Really improved my smile more than I would have ever guessed it would. Dark spots are gone!! Dr. Alex and his able Assistant Thanh performed the work....no pain as usual, so thats always a big plus 👍.
