Had ruptured left Achilles’ tendon. Typical tendon rupture….loud pop, calf pressure, and then nerve on outside of foot damage. Dr. Karr saw me next day and had surgery scheduled 4 days later. Intelligent Dr and has some arrogance, but that isn’t a bad thing. Confidence is key for a good surgeon. One item to be aware of for athletes who have this surgery. He will error on the side of caution and will lengthen tendons as precautionary bc he doesn’t want to see you again. Typical statement from Dr Karr, I’ll get you to 90% by 6 months and the rest is question mark. I have zero pain, but a weak calf muscle. I recently ruptured my right Achilles and just had surgery in another state. Yea, I know too much about this process. This surgery is a hard one to recover 100%, he is quality Dr….but if you play golf keep in mind he doesn’t.

I was born with club foot and never got a corrective surgery done so my mother got me set up with dr karr and since the surgeries which were 2 on each foot were done I have been walking with a bad limp some days not able to walk at all! I have not been able to run skip or jump since seeing dr karr and all before I seen him I could do all of the above! He has ruined my life in so many ways I can’t begin to explain! Going from being an athlete to not being able to do anything at all!

Poor excuse of a surgeon, he will put you in excruciating pain and a walking boot for the rest of your life.

My dad had his first appt. there today. We arrived an hour early per their instructions to arrive at least 30 min. early. At 55 minutes past the scheduled appt. time we were still waiting. So I spoke to phone nurse Mary who acted like she didnt care. She finally got back to me and said they would get him soon. He is in a wheel chair and they would not allow a family member in to help. I understand covid precaustions but that is ridiculous.

Dr. Karr is amazing. He did a double Achilles’ tendon lengthening surgery on me and things are healing beautifully. I am so grateful for everything he and his nurse Rita have done for me. I honestly thought I would never be able to walk normal again but now I realize I will be able to. Two weeks out from the surgery and in double casts, I am already walking better than I have been for over a year . Dr. Karr is very personable with impeccable bedside manner, and also seems like the best at what he does. If you are searching for an ortho surgeon I doubt you would ever find better. Once again I am so completely grateful. Thank you!!!

Dr. Karr, and his staff, did an awesome job reassuring my daughter. She was anxious and upset about possibly having surgery. She needs surgery, but Dr. Karr was very thorough and answered all our questions. His nursing staff kept us laughing and was very inviting and friendly.
