I initially saw Dr. Marino for a second opinion regarding my tremors. I was very impressed with his professional manner and expertise.I transferred to Dr. Marino’s practice and although it’s a 30 mile round trip, it is well worth it. In his absence, I saw Stefanie Schiavi, PA, who is also very competent and knowledgeable.Dr. Marino is never in a hurry, answers all the questions and has samples of the latest medications on hand.I have mentioned Dr. Marino to several friends who were looking for a good neurologist.

It took a very very very long time to finally get an appointment. But once there, the staff and doctor were friendly and efficient. They squeezed me in for a test so I wouldnt have to come back. Good COVID protocols.

When you walk in the door you know the place is efficiently run, and friendly. This is true from the front desk staff all the way to Dr. Marino. This was my first visit to Dr. Marino. He took the time to listen to my concerns, advised my of some options available, and stated his advice. It was nice to be shown this consideration.

Dr. Marino spent sufficient time with me and made specific referrals for labs and tests to help pin point a treatment plan. His APRN, Nicole, was exceptionally thorough. Overall, very pleased with this practice. The only suggestion I would make is that the medical assistant, Tati, was very impatient and bordered on rude….since she was my first impression of the practice her manner was very off-putting….perhaps she needs to learn that not everyone can walk at her speed or do what she asks as quickly as she would like.

I arrived on time and my appointment was on time. Dr.Marino carefully explained his diagnosis and answered all my questions. Good manner and professional.Lee Healths My Chart is a godsend. Dr. Marino was up to date on my event and all the tests performed at Lee (MRI, EKG, ECG, Cat Scan etc.). We discussed several of the issues identified in the tests and he was considerate and helpful in explaining the meaning, prognosis and treatment. He pointed out several issues that were not called out in the test result summaries.I recommend Dr. Marino.

The staff was very nice however when it came to the doctor i felt extremely rushed. As i began to explain my medical history he told me he didnt want to hear details just what sport i obtained my injury from. Didnt seem to actually care. Said Id gone through most of my options and to just move on, prescribed me a new medication, and headed out. I felt unsettled and incomplete. I wont be going back. There are plenty of other doctors I have seen who genuinely care and will listen intently to completely understand the issue. I shouldve known when the initial consultation appointment was scheduled to be 30 minutes. The doctor was in there for about 7 of those.

I would highly recommend Dr. Marino highly to anyone looking for a Neurologist in the Cape Coral/ Ft Myers Fl area. Besides being an awesome neurologist He is very kindhearted, listens to his patients, follows through with the plan of treatment until the right diagnosis is found. I have MS, DM, as well as other Autoimmune disorders which he looks at the whole person vey personably and doesn’t look at a patient as a diagnosis.

Please stay away from this so called neurologist. Had my husband go ahead with a cervical spinal fusion WITHOUT VERIFYING that my husband had Parkinsons. NEVER told us that there was a scan that could verify if a patient has Parkinsons. He NEVER told us that if my husband did in fact have Parkinsons and would go under for surgery the high risk of the Parkinsons advancing!!! Well, my husband is now in a wheelchair with no quality of life!! I hope you burn in hell Marino

I would give a zero if I could. I have a lot of medical issues and autoimmune diseases. My insurance company unfortunately dictated my choice to come here. Dr. Marino spent very little time with me (pulled up my old outdated lee chart). Never asked me about my health - asked what I was there for - I began to tell him from the start and he stopped me and said “stop talking you are all over the place”. That was when I knew this was another wasted medical visit. How can you treat a patient if you know nothing about them? He ordered some testing told me I wasn’t going to “die” and left the room. I’m so tired of the SWFL healthcare system. What happened to doctors that listen and care? I paid $110 copayment for nothing.

I was very impressed with Dr. Marino. He was very thorough and kind. I went in with a long list of concerns and he addressed every one of them. He listened to me and gave me honest feedback. He took notes on everything I said and gave a thorough exam. He was direct, but very warm bedside manner. I feel very confident in his treatment. He didn’t rush or ignore me. The office was very friendly. They got in and out quickly without any wait time. I’m very grateful to Dr. Marino.

I had the same exact experience as the review of Kristin Mercedes Bence below. Like wow! I too called the office beforehand asking if schooled in Dystonia. Chris new absolutely nothing, ignored me, took the pay day, said nothing we could do 4 u here. put me into a computer. Chris put his name in the Dystonia organizations website... he should be ashamed of himself.. he books 5 min appointments... maybe schedules a test or 2.. basics.. mri... eeg. Wasteful rude man.

My family member saw this Dr after having been to the ER. Dr was very short and had no answers and was very defensive. We felt very rushed out of the office. With the response that we would just not know what happened to her. They would be guessing. Some of the front staff (the new girl) was very helpful and some were again..very short and rushing us out. Very upsetting to see my family member endure what happened at her visit.

The doctor administered an acuity test and left the room. I had questions about the medication I am taking and wanted to explore other possible treatments but was not given an opportunity to do so. I will be looking for a different doctor.

Simply called for a script refill and got the worst runaround (after being disconnected 3 times). I was given 3 different numbers to call and told to leave a voicemail message. Amazing that one has to go through such a gauntlet just to have a script refilled! Will be looking for a new neurologist with a more responsive staff.

Saw him early in the morning. Wasnt interested in hearing my history, details, etc. just wanted to know why I was there. Did his neurological exam (which my primary already did), ordered a test, and as he walked me out told me I needed to go to a University. Translation: He cant or wont help me. Total time with him was like 5 minutes. No follow up appointment (even though he ordered a test-got the results off the online portal). It was probably one of the worst experiences I have had and a complete waste of time. I should have known when I called on a Wednesday and got in on a Friday-But I was desperate for relief! I asked him what I could do about the pain (many non-narcotic options I had read about online even) and he said Keep taking over the counter medicine. When I told him that wasnt working he shrugged. Honestly- dont waste your time or money. Im headed out of the area to Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Marino knew absolutely NOTHING about my life-altering Neurological Condition (Dystonia). This is after the Receptionist (When I was making the initial appt.) told me how extensive his experience/studies/knowledge about Dystonia was.... Also the nurse who checked me in during my Appointment bragged about how many patients he has that are living with Dystonia?? Why is it when he came in the room (After I sat in there for nearly an hour... NOT the waiting room, the patient room) he told me he has no idea how to treat me, or give any medical advice? This office gave me false hope, and wasted my day, time, and money. I was rushed out of the office, and treated like scum. I couldnt believe I had to PAY just to waste my time, energy, and whatever measley strength I have left. Dr. Marino then referred me to yet ANOTHER Neuroligist.... Not that I trust his judgment...by any means. This ENTIRE office gave me false hope, where there isnt much left as it is. I would highly recommend to stay far away from this practice. I asked for a print out for my Referral to the other Neurologist, and the girls were rude, and rolling their eyes at me. Acting as if my request was irrational.. As far as Im concerned... this practice is practicing on how to further upset extremely ill patients, and rip them off. Bunch of Jerks, and Im totally candy coating that.
