Ok massge but demand high tips which is very unprofessional and quite surprising

Normally the Shanti spas are pretty solid, but my experience at this location was very disappointing. The lady I had tonight, had good technique and pressure to start but towards the middle of the session she started rushing and using way too much greasy oil. By the end, I was more stressed than relaxed. I’m not saying this entire place is bad, but unfortunately I got stuck with a massage therapist who took her tension out on me.

UPDATE: They have done a gut-renovation and reopened October 2017. Its very nice. Now the same talented team is in an improved facility. Having visited a couple other spa establishments in Fort Lee, J & L (aka Shantii Foot Spa II) has become my go-to place. The teams proficiency at what they do lifts them up among the others. Great service at a very reasonable price, but be prepared to add at least a 30% tip, which for some reason is customary and expected at these establishments.

They are very courteous and clean. I really appreciated the fact that they used hot stones. The only down side is that though they seem very affordable ($35.00 for 1hr session) they do expect a 50% tip and wont think twice to let you know that your tip is not good enough.
