I’ve been a patient of Dr. Calvo for 16 years, she is the best. Her bedside manner is A+, she really gets to know you as a person and truly cares about you. It’s not about the numbers she will take time and have real conversations. The new location is beautiful and her staff is also excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Calvo.

Made appt, your office txt confirmation, went to see you, filled out papers & then when I handed my insurance card........she said they dont take my insurance.......WHY, as my insurance was posted in my account that no one told me this.........you wasted my time....incompetence of your staff & so disappointed!

It is already a hassle to move to South Florida to find a new OBGYN for my wife, but Dr Calvo and her lovely assistant Allison make the experience even more frustrating. After aligning the process with Allison and waiting for more than a week, we were told that Dr Calvo does not accept new patients. For more efficient activities on both sides, I suggest you inform interested patients BEFORE filling all the paperwork. Allison, if you read this, feel free to call me back - you have my number. Dr. Calvo delivered my baby and did an amazing job. I’ve been a long time patient of hers and when I wanted to conceive she guided me through it all. She is a doctor that tells you the facts and doesn’t promise anything she cannot follow through on. I’ve had amazing experiences with her and the whole staff at For Women Only. Dr. Calvo has been my OBGYN since my mom and I moved to south florida over 10 years ago. She was my OB when during my pregnancy, and although she was on vacation when my son was born (he was born on Christmas), Dr. Bernstein was there for my emergency C-section. It was a blurry, whirlwind of a day in 2017, but I’m so grateful that there are TWO amazing drs there that really took such great care of me. Dr Calvo came to check on me in the hospital a day or two after my son was born. Everyone in that office is caring, professional, and made me feel much more at ease when I had to have blood drawn (I hate needles). We have since moved to plantation, but I will definitely be making the drive to her if/when I get pregnant with #2! (And for regular appointments). THANK YOU Dr. calvo, dr. I have been trying to call the office today 08.25.20 all day to make an appointment with Dr. Calvo and its impossible to get someone on the phone. All I get is an answering machine telling me to dial 1 for Spanish to dial 2 for English and if I dial 0 for operator, the machine hang up the phone on me. This is unacceptable. I need to see the doctor as soon as possible and I cant. Maybe I should find myself another doctor.

Dr. Calvo was Amazing! Shes very knowledgeable, Caring, and Compassionate. She spent time with me and answered all my concerns and questions. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The office is Beautiful. I was able to get an appointment right away with hardly no wait, but the time it took me to fill out my paperwork. I was referred over to Ms Calvo by my doctor to go over ultrasounds. at first i was able to speak with someone there and then all of a sudden, any call i make all i get is their voicemail.

I could not possibly be any happier with Dr. Calvo, her nurse, Kelly, and the entire office staff. The office is incredibly beautiful and clean as well. I recently switched from a different OB/GYN practice for this pregnancy and beginning with my very first appointment, Dr. Calvo showed me that she’s an incredible listener, amazingly professional, and compassionate/understanding, yet also very direct. Everyone at the office has been so kind and has handled my anxious/type A personality well and I couldn’t be any more grateful. I would highly recommend Dr. Calvo!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Calvo and her amazing staff. I went in on 09/24/19 for a pelvic sonogram and they immediately found the problem and was able to get in the same day for surgery due the extreme pain I was experiencing. She is the best gynecologist I have ever encountered and I’m so grateful to have found her when I moved to Fort Lauderdale four years ago!!

I was refused a test results visit with Dr. Calvo as I did not have my bank card on me nor a check book to pay my copay. I am a new patient, never met the doctor, as the first time I was supposed to meet her, I saw her nurse practitioner instead. I was ordered an ultrasound and to meet Dr. Calvo to discuss the results. This office obviously cares more about money than patients. The explanation I was given by the front desk is that per the office manager, they have many accounts in collection, so therefore, I was refused a visit. There is no signage anywhere that co-pay must be paid in advance, regardless. To refuse a patient over a copay when they already collect from my insurance is completely unethical. For the office to further insinuate that I will be another collections patient is humiliating and offensive.

I really like this office, and Dr. Calvo. I only wish I was able to reach their staff. Every time I call, I have to leave a message and hope I recieve their call-back. Its very frustrating.

I actually have not been to see Dr Calvo yet but wanted to say so far I have had a great experience with the office staff and wanted to leave a good review after todays experience. I write this now because I had an appointment today at 2pm. They are down the hall in a building that also houses my primary physician and I stopped in one day to schedule this appointment because my primary nurse gave me a good review, and I had been looking for a new doctor. When I walked in, they scheduled me right there and took my DL and all my Insurance info and it was quick and easy and they were very polite. I appreciated how fast and easy the process was.I have been getting reminders for todays appt 6 days now via text, which is awesome. Today I received a call back from a message I had left Friday(to my insurance provider), to make certain my COBRA insurance has gone into affect for a change I had applied for, and reinstated as it has been over their estimated time but unfortunately it has not. I was terrified to call Dr. Calvos office only 2 hours before my appointment to break the news because in the past I have had really poor experiences with Dr. Office staff being very rude or irritated or demanding a reschedule fee even when sick or in an emergency situation(both times further in advance even that todays call). I hated to have to reschedule because this appointment had been booked out and in advance before my insurance change, but was unable to keep it for today without coverage in place.They called back quickly from the voicemail I left and were SO polite and didnt give me any attitude or sound annoyed or irritated AT ALL, which honestly rescheduling so last minute I felt like maybe I even a little bit deserved because I know Dr offices typically have the 24 hour reschedule policy. They kindly got me all rescheduled and didnt give me any grief. Before calling I was nervous I may have to find a new Doctor because they might have been pretty mad(Yes, I have had really bad experiences which hopefully arent typical). They didnt have anything for a month which was expected because Im a first time patient just coming for my yearly and they are good so book up farther out...honestly thought it may be farther even! Thank you to the kind staff who helped me reschedule and I look forward to my upcoming appointment and hope for more of the positive service Ive received thus far.

From the moment you walk in you feel good about a nice modern reception area. Everybody is cordial , helpful and give you the attention you need. In reference to Dr Patricia Calvo, what can I say, she is fantastic and always gives you the time you want to answer all your questions.

Wonderful, comfortable, pretty office and friendly kind staff. She is very professional, respectful, actively listens. I felt she made a good connection with me as a patient, and I have full confidence in her.

I came in May 2019 as a first time patient. I was asked to come 30 min early, however I came only 15 min early. I was left in the waiting room for over an hour after my scheduled appointment at 2pm. The front desk was at least amicable and apologetic about my wait (they are the reason that ANY star was given in this review). By the time we reached an hour and fifteen minutes wait, I began calling other OBGYNs in Fort Lauderdale out of frustration. I was then called back by a nurse only to find out that STILL no examining rooms available for me. We stood together in the hallway outside the patient rooms waiting for an opening, while I was still on the phone with other OBGYNs. A room opened up while my back was turned and the nurse began to get rude because I didn’t immediately notice. I was appalled. I immediately told her I was leaving and asked for my refund. (Upon arriving to the office, I was asked to pay before my visit.)Long story short, yes the office is beautiful and the front desk staff is very kind however inefficiencies in their system and a HORRIBLE attitude from the nurse with long brown hair and a tattooed sleeve on her arm are a true turn off. I will never know if Dr. Calvo is any good nor will she ever get a chance to regain my business because of poorly trained staff with bad people skills. And to think the whole reason I chose Dr. Calvo was from google reviews, sorry to say they aren’t as good as I thought. If your time is money, don’t come here.
