So I have a small dog I literally called all the vets around and could not get an appointment for my sick chihuahua.... I literally called them that same day and they made accommodations to see my sick dog, they are professional and tell you how it is there was no BS. They told me the prices I expected it to be an arm and a leg and it wasnt. The staff is amazing because I would literally call all the time and they would politely answer my call even if it was dumb question. I highly recommend this place to anyone because everyone is treated fairly and the animals receive the best care.

They were able to get us in the same day for a last minute appt need. The staff was friendly, helpful and quick and we appreciate it very much. Great vet!!

Dr. Gonzalez and the staff at Fort Lauderdale vet center are absolutely amazing. We have been with them for 2 years and they have always been available for our Avery for everything from checkups to emergency visits. I’ve been waiting for a quote over 7 days, when my dog diagnosis, was that needs a surgery. No more details about it, recovery , etc. Just told me that I should wait for a quotation.Is the 1st time that during covid, I experienced the most careless service. Even when everything is through the phone.They only gave me, medications for 7 days without any other indications. My dog still without any quote, any treatment and no pain medications.Definitely I’m moving for second opinions.So sad to had that experience in my first visit, when your pet diagnosis was good.

Dr. Gonzalez and his staff make every experience a pleasant one. Every question gets answered with professionalism and patience. Our dog Creed has been going to him since he was a puppy and they do a great job of knowing him and us as soon as we walk in. They really make us feel like our dog is in great care. I love my dog and knowing he is cared for with the same passion is a huge stress relief.

We spent the holidays in Fort Lauderdale and brought our pup out here from Texas. Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Center was highly recommended to us so we brought Canyon here for an exam to be cleared to fly home. Dr. Gonzalez and his staff were very accommodating, patient, and great with our dog. The office is very clean and organized. We will definitely be coming back to see them the next time were in town for the holidays. Highly recommend using their services. They definitely went above and beyond with our situation.

I took my new cat to the vet to get her shots and a lump looked at. They were very professional and adhered to strict rules around coronavirus which made me feel good about bringing her into a new place. They took great care of her and informed me of what I needed to do to help her live her best life. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a vet!!

I was very nervous to bring my dog to the vet during the covid-19 pandemic because I wouldn’t be able to go in with her, but this staff made it a very stress free experience! They were all so friendly and I feel more than confident that they have my dog’s best interest. They are professional and some of the nicest people, and they don’t overcharge! :)

Dr. Gonzalez and staff were just phenomenal. There professionalism and customer service was exceptional! The best I’ve had since living here in South Florida.He really saved my cat Nami. She had been calling out/crying more often than usual and digging in the tub and then I noticed she had blood in her urine.He immediately got her in and made her comfortable until a day later where he could get her in for surgery to remove two dime sized bladder stones.I really love him and all his staff, they saved my sweet baby kitty, (she is neither a baby nor a kitten and she is NOT sweet) but he made her feel so much better and I know she of above all is thankful for Dr. Gonzalez and his loving staff.Thank you again! I’ll be seeing you all again real soon, because like I’ve said before, I have two other “baby kitties” Leona and Hercules who have yet to meet you all!

Ive been taking my little Picasso here for the last 5 years. I found Picasso on the internet and when I picked him up, he was not very healthy (blood in his urine and fleas). I called Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Center on a late Friday and they made time for me to come in right away. Not only that, but they were informative and helpful always to anything that has come up. They are always so kind and polite and sweet to the both of us. I am going to miss coming here when I move to Miami and highly recommend them for the love and care of your pets.

Without having met me except for one phone call, the entire staff moved mountains to help get an appointment scheduled for a dog that needed to fly out of Miami in a few hours and was lacking a valid health certificate. They saved us hundreds of dollars and many many hours by being so accommodating for a dog and owner that were from out of the state and country and had never been patients at the clinic. Thank you so much for the help!

Always a pleasure to take our dogs to Dr. Gonzalez! The staff care about the animals and are polite and helpful. The vets are also happy to suggest homeopathic treatments as an option for general health and well being rather than just prescribe expensive meds right off the bat when there are alternative possibilities. Highly recommended business!

Since I moved here, my dog has been 3 times for routine visits, and the care was fine, perhaps a little expensive.I took my dog on Monday and received the standard after visit survey. I assumed it was private and gave them feedback, honestly, with a fairly minor observation that I wont bother to repeat here. Within 15 minutes the doctor was on the phone trying to debate me over my opinion. I was so shocked I stuttered. Needless to say, I wont be returning here.AITA? You get a survey, you answer it and some unhinged person calls you up? You asked me for my opinion...I didnt ask for your defensive nonsense.

I could not be anymore pleased with the staff and Dr.Gonzalez was absolutely amazing. It’s very comforting to know how sweet everyone is and your pet is in good hands. I was so worried on my dog having his surgery and they took him right away. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Doc and his staff are wonderful. They treat my dog regularly and at this point I consider them to be family. What a great experience which was the opposite of what I had at my previous vet.

I noticed that my little French Bulldog Leia wasnt feeling good. She had a runny nose and sounded like she was hacking. I didnt want to take her to the first vet we went to because of the poor bedside manners I had experienced. It just didnt seem right. However, I called Dr. Gs office and was able to get a 10:30am appointment this Saturday morning. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been there before. The receptionist/tech was attentive and extremely friendly, the office was clean and comfy for pets and the overall vibe of the office was just right. Dr. Gonzalezs bedside manners were probably the best I had ever experienced. He explained everything that he was going to do and answered all of my questions as well as reassured my concerns. Leia was so calm throughout the entire time! I will definitely be coming back to this office for all of Leias care. Dr. Gonzalez and his staff were the best!

Dr G is the best! He saved my cats life when SEVERAL other vets could not. He is educated, fair, honest, and uses his brain to figure out problems. Does not revert solely to expensive testing. He treated my cat with care and kindness and really valued my cats life.

Took my friends dog which I was dog sitting for a couple weeks and got a little sick to dr Gonzales. They took care of this little Chihuahua and make her up on her feet again.My friend was so thankful and happy to know that she got such a good vet around her.Guys, you should open another location in the south west coast!.Well done

I live out of state and needed assistance with pet travel (Veterinary Health Certificates) to take my 3 dogs to the Bahamas. We had the paperwork, but we were within the 48 hr travel window. They were so helpful! They offered to assist my vet in TN with completing it or to come in to the office early the morning of our departure to complete one. Dr Gonzalez even got on the phone to reassure me that he would personally come in before the office opened to help us out! Thank you Dr Gonzalez!!

Dr. Gonzalez and the entire team treat my puppy Izzy like a rock star! She cant wait to go in and is always greeted with plenty of hugs and kisses from the team. Ive had dogs my entire life, and Dr. Gonzalez is one of the best vets Ive ever used. I live in West Delray but drive the 45 minutes to come to this veterinary center because the staff is amazing and everyone is so nice here. I just had my puppy spayed, and shes back to normal the very next day. Dr. Gonzalez and his staff are awesome! Sasha thanks you all for her great experience :)

Rated 1 Star since 0 wasnt an option!Horrible experience! Brought my dog in because his eye wasnt functioning as normal.. couldnt blink, close his eye nothing. I was told that he had a scratched cornea and to give him eye drops two times per day and within a week it would be back to normal. After 3-4 days I called Fort Lauderdale Vet Center concerned that there was 0 improvement his eye was still not functioning. I was told to wait the 7 long days and assured the medication would work. STILL NO IMPROVEMENT! I was hesitate to bring him back in but scheduled an apt after the 7 days to find out why his eye wasnt back to normal. After telling the Dr. again about his symptoms he said oh i see what you mean.. his response I have no clue why its doing that and have never seen that before When I told him I wasnt happy to be charged for yet another visit for the same issue and now being to told I should go see an ophthalmologist.. he became very combative and agressive saying that his time isnt worth anything. When I said I miss my old vet who I went to for years who cared from my two previous dogs up until the end.. he began saying how should that make him feel.. it was alot about the doctors feeling and not about my dog! How my dog has been feeling getting eye drops twice a day for a week and he didnt even need it! How did he feel when he got so scared in your office he peed and your assistant had him sitting in his own pee during the exam. Its NOT ABOUT YOU! I would never go to this vet again, he needs manners and more experience!! I have never seen a more unprofessional healthcare professional.. he literally slammed the office door afterwards.

Dr. Javier Gonzalez saved our dogs life. Having a 12 year old lab with internal bleeding we rushed him into the doctors office where Dr. Gonzalez immediately cancelled all his appointments and took him through emergency surgery. Our lab came out of it in full health and within 2 weeks has made a full recovery.We know use Dr. Gonzalez for all out Vet needs and couldnt be happier. Plus he has the most amazing staff in the business.

We chose this Veterinary Clinic in a crisis after recently moving here and not having time to do any research when our cat suddenly because very ill. The office staff and Dr. Diaz were so incredibly caring and kind with us during this awful time of having to put our pet to sleep. They comforted us and provided us with the information needed to make the right decision. We are very grateful we chose them and will continue to bring our other pet to this office.

Dr. Javier Gonzalez is not only an animal whisperer who has cared for my two boxer puppies as if they were his own (responding to panic txts on Sundays and middle of the night), but who also runs an incredibly efficient and 5-Star practice. They will always find a way to fit you in, they will always email your pet insurance company whatever they need without pause, and yet they never make you feel rushed or anything but their top priority. I cannot believe how lucky I was to find him...as are Charlye and Hatcher (my 2yr old and 12 week old female boxers)! 5-Star experience every single visit (and emergency) for 2 years straight!

I LOVE Dr Gonzalez!!! He is so awesome. I was going out of town and I boarded my dog, Nugat, at Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Center. I had planned to have Nugats teeth cleaned (he would need anesthesia for this because he had advanced periodontal disease - but Dr Gonzalez also does teeth cleaning WITHOUT anesthesia for more regular cases) and while Nugat was being boarded Dr Gonzalez found a bladder stone. He immediately called and emailed me to let me know that he could do the surgery at the same time Nugat was being anesthetized for his teeth - so he would not have to be anesthetized TWICE. WOW....how great to be out of town and know that your animal is in such good hands!!! I HIGHLY recommend Fort Lauderdale Veterinary Center and Dr Javier Gonzalez.

Excellent attention!!! From the reception to the office staff. Very friendly and affectionate with my cat to take it and had a hip fracture. The doctor who treated him very instructed in everything. I really have to meet other veterinarians and without a doubt this is the best.
