I came to Fort Collins Primary Care because it had such positive reviews on Google. The doctors attitude and medical help were unsatisfactory. The doctor would not prescribe any sort of narcotic even though I was in immense pain (and have no history of drug abuse or reason for the doctor not to give me what I needed). I wound up having to go to the Emergency Room to get the medication needed. Absolutely terrible / non-compassionate doctor. I do not recommend this doctors office. The doctor expects you to wait out your disease / sickness, while in pain, and then sends you a hefty bill.

I was a patient for years and Dr Michael McCarty is probably the best Doc I have ever had, Sadly , for me, he got a position at Gunbarrel Family Medicine in boulder and Dr Johnson retired. if you notice all the good reviews are for them. After they left I tried all the docs here and couldnt find a good fit for me. Then adding insult to injury the practice was purchased by Dr. Marilu Orozco-Peterson At Heritage Family medicine. The very practice I left in disappointment to see Dr McCarty. Went from a practice I Highly Recommended to this.

Since I moved from Parker Co to FoCo, it has been extremely difficult to find a primary care physician. This place seemed very nice as I called to make an appointment. Ginger called me back and was so pleasant to talk to on the phone. The next day they got me in. Was wanting to get my anxiety meds filled as well as my adhd med. Megan was the physician who met with me while she informed me the laws have changed regarding Controlled substances. They will not fill your meds for any of those if you are a new patient. She had no problem doing my cold sore pills, cream, and inhaler. I honestly feel that it is ridiculous. We pay good money for our insurance and premiums. If you have had a prescription such as xanax for 7+ years and you dont abuse it there should be no reason not to fill that. Dont waste your time here... Id rather drive 1.50 hours to Parker. What is a new patient to do if they really need their meds. Guess it is up to you to figure that out? Recommended to get off meds I go to Touchstone to get an evaluation and counseling all to find out they dont even take my insurance. Only Medicaid and Kaiser. Go somewhere else.
