I just moved into the area and was looking for a reliable primary care facility. However, I was very disappointed with my experience here. It was very uncomfortable from a COVID-precaution perspective. The nurse consistently wore her mask below her nose, and equipment used for patient contact was not sanitized before or after use. However, the main issue was that the entire purpose for my appointment here was to follow up after a visit to urgent care and have a test repeated-- yet, somehow, despite making this clear to the NP, and showing up early to provide the appropriate sample for the test, the NP simply did not run the test. I did not find this out until several days after my clinic appointment when I messaged to ask about the test results and was told the NP never sent the test. They gave me some very poor reasons as to why the test was not sent (the NP said she discussed this with me in the office, which is not true. She also said she didnt send it because I was no longer showing symptoms-- which seems extremely careless. Does every patient need to be overcome with symptoms in order for a simple follow up test to be sent? I had gone to urgent care with really bad symptoms not too long ago and was hoping to avoid a repeat of that). Now I need to make another appointment, pay another copay, and give another sample to actually get some resolution to the problem that sent me to urgent care. I will not be doing this with UC Health Internal Medicine. The medical care I received felt very careless and negligent.

Don’t expect any communication via the UCHealth portal from them. For some reason they stopped responding to messages there in June, and you have to call them after a couple weeks and ask them to read it. Currently waiting for a response now, after 18 days. Looking for a different provider at this point.

Dr. Kristine Housley is great! Shes easy to talk to, a patient listener and has good sense of humor. I appreciate that she isnt one to automatically prescribe a medication, but rather help with lifestyle changes to address the issue first (when possible). I didnt feel rushed in the least and Im incredibly please with the care she and the rest of the staff provided me.

Kristine Housley is great to work with! Edit: even though I was not in an immense amount of pain she correctly was concerned about appendicitis, she sent me to radiology and low and behold I had acute appendicitis. She helped save me from alot of pain and suffering and took me seriously. Thank you!

Very clean and everybody seemed cheerful. No steps were skipped. It felt like I was the only patient there. Nezha was very attentive and in no rush to get me out the door. The staff was personable as well as professional. There was no judgement about anything I asked about. They just wanted to make sure I got the best care possible.

Dont bother trying to get a physical here unless you want to be charged $200 because they refuse to code it as preventative care so insurance wont cover it. I specified when I made my appointment that I was there for an annual physical, I told the nurse I was there for an annual physical, and I told the doctor I was there for an annual physical. It wasnt until I received my bill that I was told that UC Healths policy is to require an establishment of care appointment before doing a physical so apparently my annual physical was not coded as preventative, and now Im having to call back and forth to get a $200 bill covered by my insurance. If you do go here, make sure to record the entire visit on your phone so you have record of telling multiple people that you are there for a preventative annual physical because they will lie and say you were there for a specific medical reason.

The provider I saw and staff themselves were great, for the most part. Im currently uninsured, and they all Seemed to have an eye out for what would help me most financially until I get insurance... However, no one ever mentioned--not once, that they would charge hospital prices for the mandatory standard, run of the mill urine drug test. Now, let me explain, Ive had drug tests before at urgent clinics and the like, which were about 40$ each, an understandable, no insurance price. The difference between them and this place? About 320$. Yes, I have been billed 360$ for a pee test that told drs exactly what I told them was in my system. I would have declined having the test done at this place and opt for a clinic instead had I known...but no one said anything, or even considered it before handing me the cup, leaving me to pee, and then me having to carry around the cup until I found someone to give it to. They said the bill would come, and that was it. Skip to the present day, and Im going to be struggling to pay this ridiculous bill as well as actually survive. To add, my fiance has called billing, and they pretty much said, The price is what it is. We took off 60$ since you were uninsured, dropping it form 420 to 360. Enjoy the discount, and have a great day.Id rather have rude people treat me at a reasonable price than a nice staff that charged me around 500$ for my total charges. Healthcare is broken, and this is why so many go untreated. Depression, stress, and anxiety are hard enough to deal with without bills rolling in that are ten times the expected charges. Does UCHealth know the damage this did to me not just financially? No, they dont, and I highly doubt they care. If they did care, someone would have taken the time to once mention to me that this was likely to happen.Thank you, UCHealth for the kind service, super stars for it, but to anyone whos Uninsured, they should Never come here. Smiles and kindness make the price tag of their labwork worth it.I really think there should be a way to warn people better. Did you know the quotes on the app do not, anywhere have the quote for a pee drug test? Almost no other basic lab work exceed 300 bucks in those quotes, but a pee test? A pee test. Im disappointed on so many levels with uchealth.I hope someone actually reads this and does something about it for those to come. But its gone on this long, so Im sure no one actually cares to fix it. This is our healthcare, people, the great USAs awesome healthcare. I wrote this review to try and save some people the toll this put on me.If you have insurance, probably a perfect place for you, but if you dont have ever have to have ANY labwork done, never go here.**EDIT** Theyve set up an auto reply to negative reviews. Id commented on the fact billing had be contacted in my review and what was told to us. The we are sorry to hear reply to me here was a bot that didnt even read my message or maybe it was a person who posted an approved statement, but at any rate, I was told to do what Ive already done. What a great way to make things better.

I was very satisfied with Dr Barker, he was very informative and friendly. My issue was with the office staff. I was given another patients medical information and not mine! When i called the next morning to fix the situation it took many hours and messages before I was able to speak with the office manager and he was very dismissive of my concerns, telling me that mistakes happen! What other mistakes just happen at this office? Great Doctor, terrible staff.

I was unhappy with my care here and ended up spending a lot of my time on the phone trying to resolve my issues. I made multiple attempts to contact this offices manager to express this to them directly instead of writing a bad review. I was told the manager wasnt in and I would get a call the next day. That was over a month ago and after multiple attempts to reach them so I just decided to not waste more of my time continuing to try to do that. I regret ever going here!
