I made an appointment with Becca after having trouble finding someone who would do an all over highlight and get the tone of blonde I like in my are, and she did AMAZING. I live an hour away but am willing to travel, because she nailed everything I asked for and the salon in general was a clean, and very welcoming environment!! If you need highlights I would highly recommend her.

I have been going to Primp for about 7 years. Sarah Renee is my hair stylist. She did my hair for my wedding about 7 years ago and have been going to her ever since. She does an amazing job with my hair every time. She is very flexible with my ever changing hair style and color. I live in Castle Rock and drive to Fort Collins to have her do my hair because I trust her with my hair and she always does an amazing job.

The stylist I’d been with for years decided to retire. A friend recommended going to Primp, specifically Sarah. Sarah is a very warm, professional and talented hair stylist. I wear my hair in a bob. She listened to my concerns when I started going to her in the fall. Now, three months later, I feel as though she’s been cutting my hair for years. The whole experience is totally comfortable and during this time of Covid, I appreciate her attention to health and safety.

She is so good at communicating to ensure were on the same page, as well as being honest about maintenance expectations. I have been going to Primp for years. Initially, I started going because I liked that they had more natural products. Ive continued to go to Primp because Sarah Renee does a great job. I love the camaraderie among the stylists and guests, and always enjoy my visit there. Recently, I have been impressed with Primps response to COVID 19 protocols and their implementation of safety measures and guest screening. They re-arranged the salon to provide adequate social distancing, and have good communication about their guidelines and procedures.

I had my hair done by Becca and asked for (and showed her pictures of) very bright platinum icy blonde. I left with dark ash blonde that was even darker than what I came in with. I also had streaks of silver throughout my hair and chunks and stripes of color everywhere. Half of my head was silvery blonde and the other half was golden/ash blonde. I asked for a refund and she said we just had a miscommunication and that she would add “a highlight or two” to brighten it up. And that she didn’t realize I wanted my hair to be bright blonde and it would take multiple visits (which isn’t true because I had it corrected by another stylist and she got me to platinum in one appointment). Her manager eventually refunded me $60 out of the $150 I paid. So essentially I got a trim for $90 because the color was awful.

I love laila. She knows exactly how to work with my difficult hair. She never lets me down.

Primp is the best, especially if you are looking for a place that goes above and beyond the required restrictions for Covid. You wait in your car until your space has been sterilized and then called to come in for your appointment. Your temperature will be taken prior to entering the studio. Im in my 70s so very concerned about safety in public spaces. Primp is an extremely clean and safe environment and I have NO stress while getting my hair styled. Laila is an extremely talented stylist. She knows what will and wont work with your hair. I went from long hair to a shorter style and love the new cut. Laila really listens, addresses your concerns, and does her best to teach you how to style that new cut. Highly recommend this hair studio!

Kelly Day did such an amazing job on my haircut. Honestly, I think its the best cut Ive had since cutting my hair short 8 years ago, and Ive seen quite a few different stylists since then. She really listened to what I wanted and took her time to make sure everything was perfect. The studio itself was great too—nice and quiet so we could actually have a conversation. I will definitely be going back.

LOVE this place! I went for the first time and I have curly hair. Every other time Ive gone to a salon I leave with hair I cant wear out and I need to restyle it. But the stylist taught me how to blow it out with a round brush and I left with gorgeous hair at a great price along with a new way to style it!

She was so professional, nice and super outgoing, it made the time very enjoyable and she did an awesome job on my hair. Since I had such a great experience we kept my boyfriends appointment in the afternoon with a woman named Kelly. To sum up his whole experience with his words: Im never going back there. Kelly told very inappropriate information about her personal life to him, for his entire haircut. Im so disappointed since I had such a great experience with Kesley, I havent decided yet if this is a place either of us will try again.

Laila is the ONLY stylist I’ve worked with who has nailed everything I’ve hoped for, EVERY appointment, perfectly. She has a 6th sense for what someone is looking for- from a wedding to routine touch ups, to color for a bodybuilding show under lights, she always nails the look I want for whatever is coming up. The entire staff is incredibly professional and you can tell they prioritize their clients in every way. I’ve been a client of Lailas for a few years, and more recently, saw her post reopening from COVID shut downs and can’t say enough about what the staff has done to maintain client safety, while also maintaining an atmosphere that is genuinely pleasant to be in. I can’t imagine that’s an easy task right now, but this team routinely kills it.

This place is awesome. Not only are the girls that work there extremely friendly and great at providing you with a hair cut you will be happy about but it also doesnt have the awful typical salon smell that burns your lungs. This place is awesome!

Everything about my experiences with Primp have been outstanding. Easy to schedule with my favorite stylist (Laila) and she is the fastest, most confident/efficient and overall best hair stylist Ive ever had. I had 13 inches taken off my first time in and have come back for trimming by Laila for years now (slightly bendy dark blonde hair). I cant go anywhere else. You dont fire the MVP. :)

I love that Primp offers nail services now, too. Jasmine, the nail tech, was so good at making me feel pampered. I went in for a pedicure first and then scheduled a manicure with her. The coffee and lavender scrubs smell so good. The massages with the mani/pedis are really relaxing, and the people and earth-friendly polishes are very pretty. The purples are my favorite.With my first color service at Primp I was pleasantly surprised! I have been going to stylists for years and had yet to find one whose hair color products didnt cause my scalp to itch. I thought if I wanted color, I just had to put up with discomfort. I had recently tried a different salon where the stylist used natural products, but the itching was actually worse, so I was skeptical about organic color. With the products at Primp I had no itching and my hair and scalp felt wonderful. From the time I stepped into the studio I loved the location and sleek natural look. The large window in the second-story studio provides a peaceful atmosphere where you can look out at the trees, yet it feels very private compared to some salons that are ground level with people often passing by. Sarah is very professional and creates a very comfortable atmosphere. I look forward to my hair appointments now!

Georgia Michelle is the stylist who cut my hair. Recovering from Cancer my hair has suffered greatly due to medications and Radiation. Ive always had very long hair. Prior to seeing Georgia I had it trimmed 4 in January elsewhere, bringing my hair up to my waist. However, my hair loss remained pretty substantial. I know it needed to be cut shorter, but I was thinking another 4; Georgia said 5 would be better. Anyway, I settled on 5 within myself, however it turned out to be 7 - a good 2 shorter than we talked about. My primary concern was having my top cut shorter, as it had grown out being hospitalized so long plus rehab plus an earlier procedure. Starting January my top had grown to the point I pulled it back securing it with hair pins. I really wanted to get rid of those hair pins and get some style back. I knew what it would take to make me feel better about myself. The result is hair much shorter than I agreed to plus my top remains the same, and I kept asking about my top. She kept saying, Im not done with it yet. She ended up combing my top to the side, it naturally hung in my face & she said that Ill just have to get used to that. My thought was Ill just go to someone else for my top not realizing at that time just how short my hair really was. She never did turn me around with a mirror in hand to see my back. My referral to Georgia said I could trust her, so I did. After leaving & within a very short time I realized that I couldnt reach my hair when reaching back to touch it. When I got home, I measured with a ruler & mirror to see just how short it was - 7 shorter. That 2 difference makes a HUGE difference to me. I mentioned to Georgia that several years ago a hair stylist cut my hair terribly wrong & it took a good 2 years to recover from that. Well, Im now going to have to grow 2 years again. I called Georgia to let her know how I feel. She called back apologizing saying she did the best she could. I said that doesnt help me, and Im right back where I was when I walked into the salon except my hair is far, far shorter than it should be. She said, Itll grow back! I said it all boiled down to her not listening. I even gave her a card with my picture showing how my top should be. She did not even offer to have me come back in and cut my top the way I want. Im not sure I would have done that had she offered, but it would have helped me feel a little better. All she did say was its best we go our separate ways...... She just flat didnt listen, and instead of feeling better about myself, Ive paid a high price for heartache. Instead of listening, shes added to my struggle for recovery.While there I was also hurt by comments she made when I said my hair used to be much longer. She was sarcastic about my hair length and my heritage, Native American, which I didn’t appreciate. “Why would you want to do that?” (grow my hair so long). It doesn’t matter why - that took me back. “Culture, heritage” (thinking I wanted to and it’s none of her business why). You hair always been black? Yes. Because of Native American? Yes. These comments were not said in a positive light. Throughout my life Ive learned well the difference between curiosity, which is always welcome, and sarcasm. Her tone was the latter. Calling her later I said I didnt appreciate her questions/comment @ my heritage. When she called back, she insisted that was not the case, but it definitely did not feel that way. Also she kept taking pictures without asking me nor did she show them to me. Made me very uncomfortable. I’ve since asked that these pictures be deleted, but have a feeling I’ll never hear from anyone. Her lack of care & concern - pretty sad overall. What she did is cruel. Im sorry I went to her.P.S. Sarah Hardin did call 3/16/16 apologizing for what happened, said she talked with Georgia, my photos are deleted & offered a refund. Nice of her to do but I cant go back.
