I am a very nervous patient in the dentists chair with bad past experiences and had a really painful molar which needed to be pulled. I cannot express how kind and reassuring everyone was. Karen could tell how miserable I was and spoke to me throughout the whole process to help me calm down. She is the nicest Karen anyone could hope to meet. Dr. Morgan was very professional, kind, and made sure I always understood what was happening. He listened to all of my concerns and was very careful. He went out of his way to help me get the care that I needed. Dr. Morgan has helped restore my trust in the profession.

Everyone was very professional! I tend to get nervous at dental appointments but they made me feel comfortable. I got 2 wisdom teeth removed and the procedure went as smooth as possible! They called to check on me at home and gave me medicine to keep me comfortable. I would definitely recommend them and Dr. Lee was great!

I normally see Dr. Lawhon for my dental needs but he was unavailable, so I gave Palmetto Oral a shot. I cant say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Lee and his staff. They made sure I was comfortable, calm, and the whole thing went off without a hitch. Im glad I got to meet Dr. Lee and his wonderful staff and am very happy with their work! Highly recommended!

I recently had to undergo surgery for some very painful teeth that have been causing me pain for some time. I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff there is. From the ladies at the front desk who moved so quickly to get me all checked on and help navigate new patient paperwork to the nursing staff. I have never felt more comfortable in a dental office. Dr. Lee was super cool and explained what needed to be done and was patient to answer any questions. And his scheduler Penny was so helpful as well. I’ll definitely be returning for any future issues and I’ve already referred several friends and family! Highly recommend!

Not sure why this office refuses to sign gas reimbursement form for Movicare which is a state run program for Medicaid recipients. It seems like a form of discrimination to me!

The staff was nice and kind. They was very concern about my situation. I didnt have to wait long before surgery. Before I knew it, the surgery was over. Great job Dr. Lee and staff.

My 8 year old daughter had to get 2 teeth removed. She was extremely scared but they made her feel very calm and everyone who works there were very polite. She had Dr.Morgan. He was amazing. My daughter felt great the same day and also hardly any discomfort the next morning. I would recommend coming here to anyone who needs services they provide.

Staff did not seem very impressed with him or his experience when talking about him. The exam room was clearly dirty when entered, with dirty tools left on the table that the assistant simply covered with a clean cover and laid the tools he needed to examine me and a pair of gloves on. There was dried blood left from a previous patient in the room I couldnt take my eyes off while they talked and they seemed to ignore. I did not have any work done and will NEVER go back or recommend. Tried to call the office manager and was told she was sorry but no other type of resolution offered and this is after I paid their $140 consult fee. AVOID THIS OFFICE!

I highly recommend Palmetto Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon. Always was afraid of going to The dentist, had eight tooth some cut out and some extracted. Was asleep for the procedure, it lasted about 30 minutes. Took one prescribed pain pill for precaution after I got home, havent had any pain. The staff was very friendly theyre the bomb.

I could not be more pleased with the attention and care that both of my children received having their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Oliver. The staff was courteous, attentive and made them both feel extremely comfortable, which was important to them since neither had ever been placed under anesthesia prior to this. Their recovery was swift and uncomplicated and they both went home with informative post operative instructions and had zero complications. Dr. Oliver and his office will most certainly be who we recommend for anyone who has a need for oral surgery.

Highly recommend Dr. Oliver! Such kind, caring staff here. Its rare now a days to find a doctors office that threats their patients with as much respect as they gave my husband. For a month hes battled a terrible infection, 2 dentists offices we went to were money pits that didnt give a rats butt about my husband, just his money! Not here, they care about their patients!The first visit had me beyond happy when he told me the doctor took into consideration he wasnt a shrimp of a guy when he prescribed him medicine for the day of! Things like that, thats how you keep people coming back! Taking the whole patient and situation into consideration.Today my husband had surgery, and I felt completely comfortable putting him in their respectable hands! They removed 4 teeth. What they charged to remove 4 teeth, both other places I mentioned above wanted to remove 1Thank you! I doubt I could ever put my appreciation into words.

I am not fond of the dentist/oral surgeon. But my dentist Dr Cliff Wilson, who’s awesome, sent me to Dr Matthew Lee to remove a tricky tooth. I was a more than a little apprehensive but from the moment I walked into office, I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Lee & the staff are not only knowledgeable but they are friendly, patient and kind. From consultation to post-op calls they are amazing! Thank you to Dr. Lee and the entire staff!

I had tooth #1 and #17 extracted yesterday by Dr. Oliver. They treated me well from the moment I arrived the whole staff was friendly and welcoming. After they inserted the IV I was out. When I woke up I thought they were just starting when in reality they had just finished. I believe Dr. Oliver’s team did a wonderful job. I loved how his office called to check on me. 😊 I appreciate it a lot. Thanks to all of you.

Not a great experience for me. They forgot to prescribe the standard pre-operative medication for my procedure. On the day of my extraction, I was offered a “whoops” and a shrug, but no apology or explanation. The staff was incredibly dismissive. I told the nurse in the recovery area that I was very nauseous from the drugs I was administered during the procedure. Her response was “Well, you don’t look nauseous.” She said that multiple times. I suppose she was hoping I would agree with her. They were far more concerned with pushing me out the door after my procedure than they were with my well being. I was eventually administered nausea medication in the recovery area, and was and assured that the doctor would write me a prescription for nausea medication. The prescription was never sent, and I had to call them back later and then go to the pharmacy a second time. This is not ideal for someone who has just had an oral surgery/tooth extraction. I’m a registered nurse myself, and I’d never dream treating patients this way; at least not if I want to keep my job. If you want a smooth experience, I’d steer clear of this place.

They all deserve more than 5 stars! Everyone in the front office, nurses, and Dr. Lee are all absolutely wonderful! I would recommend this office over any other. They were all so sweet and caring!

Nothing negative about the staff overall except whoever handles calling in prescriptions. The first time the prescription was called in to the wrong pharmacy, no big deal, I called them and they called it in to my pharmacy. The second time, after surgery, still not at my pharmacy. And, yes, I did verify before I left the office that it was MY pharmacy that they had on file. So I am running around with my son asleep in the car trying to find out where it could be in this small town an hour away from the dentist. When my pharmacist found out which pharmacy had it , they had it transferred to them, but they couldnt transfer one of them. So I go to the other pharmacy to get it and it was deleted!. I understand the responsibility and obligation to watch pain meds carefully , but it could have been easily verified that that particular prescription was never filled by ANY pharmacy! They may be good at extracting teeth, but horrible at reading! Luckily, my son is tough and we made due with ibuprofen.

I’ve had two different experiences with Dr. Lee, I wouldn’t use any other oral surgeon. The staff are so courteous, and they have great rates. I really think of them as extended family!!!

The lady at the front desk with the glasses and the short bob is absolutely HORRIBLE!! She is the most rudest uncaring person I have ever encountered at a dental office, she should be immediately terminated. She needs to have more compassion if she chose her career to be healthcare. All the other staff are wonderful, but something has to be done.

Highley recomend Dr. Oliver and the whole staff are awsome they will answer any questions you have before and after any procedure is done even called to check in after my husband had his procedure done .

I cant say enough good things about our experience with Palmetto Oral Surgeons. My son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Matthew Lee. Our experience was excellent from the time we walked in the door for our consultation until we were wheeled out after his surgery. The staff was very courteous and professional. Everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. Dr. Lee took his time and explained everything to us. He was very kind, professional, and patient. We in no way felt rushed even though it is a very busy practice. We will definitely use this group again if the need arises.

I have been to many Dentist/Doctor office and hands down Palmetto Oral is the best!!! My wife had a tooth pulled today and right after she had a seizure. Dr. Oliver and his staff handled there business. They not only took care of my Queen and made her comfortable but came out and assured me that she was just fine. Had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Lawhon and decided to come here to have a wisdom tooth pulled. This place is awesome. They have compassion for the patient and try to explain everything. You do not feel like a number here, you will feel like a patient at a surgeon that cares how you feel. They will save you some money also compared to Lawhon. The staff and Dr. Oliver were awesome.

Today was my second time, entrusting Dr. Oliver and his staff with oral surgery. In January he removed my wisdom tooth and he advised me of another tooth then, his predictions were spot on, I went back today and had another removed. The entire staff should be rated a 10 on a scale of 1 - 5. From the receptionist to the nurses to Dr Oliver, these people are personable, Dr Oliver is very knowledgeable and I love them. Today went great, maybe they know this, maybe they dont but most dentist and oral surgeon offices are horrible and leave patients with horrible experiences making them feel low and stupid. But Dr Oliver and his staff made my husband and I feel so comfortable and I would recommend anyone in the Florence/Darlington area to please give them a try, You will not be dissapointed!! Thank you Palmetto Oral for taking care of me today and thank you for working with us. I wish he were a regular dentist, because I would take my son there for his cleanings. I pray God blesses this office with prosperity. Again, thank you Dr Oliver and your staff.

I am a single mom. I spoke with the receptionist and asked he very clearly I have Blue Cross Blue Shield are you guys in my network. Her answer to me was yes we file all insurance. I said great and I got an appointment. When I got there they have me some song and dance about paying for my initial visit. I had the appointment with Dr. Lee. He looked very young and i didnt get a good vibe while talking with him. Once ibgotnto the check out the lady told me i had to pay their entire fee up front for my daughter wisdom teeth. I reminded her that i was told that you guys take my insurance? Then she says no we file insurance. Whatva crock. Called my insurance and they gave me another doctors name that is a provider for my insurance. Then the insurance company told me i get a discount at an in network providers office. Palmetto Oral is dishonest and i felt betrade. Now i paid a visit fee for nothing. Got to start over.

Worthless! Gave my 79 (almost 80) year old mother a bunch of BS back and forth between her and her dentist to get the base of a tooth extracted so a replacement tooth could be put in.
