We stayed for two nights. My family is fairly new to RVing. A fast and furious storm came through while my family was out shopping. I went to the office area and waited out the storm with some of the staff. They could not have been kinder.Super clean bathrooms/showers and laundryWe would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.

Impromptu stay here after our school bus broke down on 95 and we were pleasantly surprised. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and so were our neighbors who were permanent residents. There are many permanent residents as well as plenty of spots for quick pull through overnights. Price was very reasonable, bathrooms and showers were decent, washer and dryer were very well priced, and theres a big open field if youve got a dog who likes to run, or you like to get some exercise yourself! Town is not too far and we had several uber pickups from the location as well. It was a great place for us to regroup.

Stayed for 2 nights, staff was friendly and helpful even with a late arrival. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and sheltered. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because a long term resident near us had a small dog in a small cage outside for over 12 hours without checking on it which seemed cruel to me. It was the only thing that spoiled an otherwise cute campground.

Clean and friendly older park not far from the freeway. Friendly owners and staff. There seems to be a decent amount of full-time residents, and there are a couple of park models for rent (though they were occupied while I was there). They do have some pull through sites that can accommodate big rigs, which is nice. There is a playground for kiddos and plenty of green areas to walk pets (although there is no fenced pet area). Nice clubhouse and laundry/bath facilities. No pool. The two reasons for the 3 star rating is that the sites can be pretty wet when theres significant rain and the park is located behind a seedy old motel, but there is a fence separating the properties. Unfortunately, theres nothing the owners can do about the elevation or the old mostly-abandoned motel and its sad that it detracts from the nice park. Its a straight shot to McLeod hospital if youre a nurse looking to stay for a contract.

We stayed there may to June for 3 weeks in a cabin. Stove did not work, refrigerator did not work ,had to buy ice for 3 weeks was $650 for a month not to bad $650 for deposit . When we give keys back he said had to wait a month for the deposit back.Did not make sense it is a camp ground! When I did get my deposit back he took $150 out for cleaning we cleaned it better than it was when we got there . And the check was not filled out currently . Now I have to wait more time to get that back . When we left there the place was spotless. Its a shame !!!!

1st time here. Planned on staying 1 month. Left in 1 week to go to another rv park. Biggest problem was neighbors had 3 small dogs. They were left outside all day yapping. Would start as early as 7 am. We couldnt sit outside without getting barked at. We were in the back and did not feel comfortable. There is a dumpy motel behind the rv park that has some people in it. They have kids and dogs. Between the motel and park is a fence area, old tennis court. The kids would play in there ( no problem) and the dogs would run loose in there and no one cleaned up after them. Another neighbor has her cat out all the time and would go under our vehicles and rv . Some really bad rvs and there is a bus that someone lives in. The dog area has large fire ant mounds. So you have to watch. 2 washers and dryers that are old. There is no pool etc... The people that work there are nice. We did go to the owner about leaving. Apparently they have had past problems with these people with the dogs barking. The owner did confront the people about the dogs. There is a dog that is in a crate all day. Dont like that at all. We are at a nicer rv park.

Very clean and is well maintained. Grass is mowed, trimming is under control. Only problem I noticed is hookups and its NOT really a problem per say, except for once a week or so...Kinda ruff when neighbors drain black tank. Coming out of yur own door, and in about two or three steps yur right on top of said area . Not real pleasant to open yur door and be smacked in the face with that smell. Bad enough when its just in the air.A lot of the sites are pull through tho so Im assuming thats why theyre placed the way they are. That is something that only happens once in a while, and it would not keep me from returning. All the staff is very pleasant and the owner seems to be as well.Pet Friendly with nice walking areas for them as well as for yurself.I give it...👍👍

Stayed one night extremely unlevel site. Jacks couldn’t do it so we slept at an angle. Owners were nice. This is an old park with mostly full time residents. They are up at 5 or 6am in their loud diesel trucks going to work somewhere. I95 road noise is loud. Overpriced imho.

Review №57

U-turn required at access road on approach from I-95 that was just barely manageable in our 45 motorhome. A little less of a challenge on the way out but big rigs beware. Although directly adjacent to I-95 and likely to be noisy, the place looked OK for an overnight, but we did not stay because they wanted to charge us $31 for a 50A Passport America site when the listed rate was $24. We felt that was a bait & switch and will not return.

Review №58

We stopped here overnight. They are just off I-95 and a Passport campground and honored the discount but only accepts cash. Called early that morning because we headed back south and the gentleman who answered was very nice. We didnt arrive until late that evening after the office closed but our site info was posted on the door and we were able to settle the bill the next morning. The site was pull through, full hook up. There are a lot of permanent residents but the campground was pretty quiet at night even though we could hear the traffic from the interstate. We would stay here overnight again if were passing through and need a place to stop.

Ro
Review №59

Do not stay here! I would give zero stars of there was an option!Worst camping experience of my life.Talked to the owner, he said Ill put you near the showers behind the office. Which meant that we would be setting up on a childs playground, no fire pit, next to expressway, behind the bathrooms. Shortly after we setup our tent two residents of Swampfox came up to check us out. One on his motorcycle and the other holding a golf club. They turned out to be really nice. The next morning the maintenance workers started working around 5:30am since our campsite was placed right behind the office we were about 10 feet from sawing, hammering, and other loud noises. All this for $20.Stay Away!

We stopped at Swamp Fox Campground on our way to North Carolina after a grueling trip from Florida. My son was in ICU and we were trying to make the trip to the University of North Carolina Hospital. Swamp Fox Campground was closed however they had a recording stating that they had sites available and all we had to do was stop by and check out the map which was on the door of the office. It was refreshing to us who were Road weary and stressed. The campground is very quiet even though you can see the highway from the campground. From what we could see the campground was very clean and well maintained and the restrooms were immaculate. We were in a 35 foot travel trailer and found a spot that was absolutely perfect for us. The next morning we met the owners and paid our bill and we were off. We will be back!

False advertising on Passport America. We were charged $27 a night and required to pay cash because we are passport America. This isnt a campground you want to stay at long term. First stop with my darling wife on our cross country retirement trip. Very nice office, and bathrooms. The staff sounded polite and accomadateing. Close to a few restaurants, ideally located. My only concern is when we pulled in a man on a golfcart, who smelled and was obviously drunk, attempted to help us set up ,but disturbed my wife so, we went inside and waited a little while and finished our set up. Very quiet, beautiful sky at night we will return on our way home in a few months.
