It was my first time coming to this salon this past week, and during my appointment the experience was pretty great. Everyone was kind and the salon was very clean and sanitized. My stylist was Paige, and the coloring job she did on my hair was awesome, I loved what she did. But, the haircut was not executed as well as I would’ve liked. A few days after my appointment I noticed several flaws in my hair. There are parts of my hair that is significantly longer than other parts, and at some angles it looks slanted instead of straight. For my hair I asked for just a one length cut, with a couple inches off the ends, but that is not how it turned out. I’m not sure how or why this happened, or how to fix it. Overall, I’m not happy with how my hair turned out with the cut itself.

Massage with Jana was amazing. She listened to my issues. However, bathroom needed attention. Paper towel dispenser didnt work and one bathroom was unkept.

Got a hairline wax and was grabbed almost 10 minutes late, wax was left in my hair after the appointment, the wax was so tacky it was painful when she was applying it. My esthetician kept saying “oops” my whole wax and telling me she’s never done this before. She was tugging on my head and hair the whole time and was not knowledgeable on proper waxing techniques. She told me if she waxed my vellus blonde hairs they’d grow in darker and thicker which is a myth. Then the front desk was so rude and unprofessional. Worst spa experience I’ve ever had.

Booked a consultation online with Megan after a disaster of a hair color from a different salon and stylist. Megan was so cool and professional, she felt awful about how unhappy I was with my hair. She was realistic about my hair goals and despite her prior obligations for the day, she took the time to put a very gorgeous and vibrant purple on my highlights so I at least have something I can live with until my color correction journey with her begins. Shes very passionate, extremely knowledgeable, and very personable! I appreciate her honesty. She is also alternative/goth/punk style-friendly as well!

I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage with hot stones added on. Patty did an amazing job, I was so relaxed and comfortable. She has a very calm and friendly demeanor that truly makes the experience even better. 😌

Worst place to get a hair cut. Had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Even the other barber said it looked like a toddler had cut it. Don’t waste your time or money. They need to hire people that actually know what they are doing.

My very first appointment at this salon was today - which has great reviews. I’m looking for a new stylist since mine of over 12+ years is no longer available. My anxiety is already through the roof trying somewhere and someone new. I have an appointment for color, cut & style. I received at least 2 reminders for my appointment so I don’t forget or show up late. I arrived on time and was checked in quickly. I then waited 30 minutes and the stylist still hadn’t started with me!! Every minute spent waiting pushed my anxiety into overdrive. I left. Terrible way to start off with a new salon and a new stylist. It’s now an hour after I left (and presumably free time since my appointment was for 2 hours), and no call to apologize or even acknowledge the situation. Extremely unprofessional. UPDATE: the owner arranged for me to return and have another go at it. This time, everything was great! Thank you for making this right! I’m very happy with my hair and stylist this time.

Kassidy does amazing hair colors. She is very nice, talented and professional. Im always impressed with her work! Felicia is great at waxing. She is very nice, professional and does a great job! Melissa did a deep tissue massage. She explains things very well and is very patient with me as I have really bad knees. She does a great job and she communicates and listens to your concerns. I highly recommend all three ladies. You wont be disappointed.

The staff here was incredibly and friendly. I scheduled for an evening appointment with Krysten because this salon was located directly behind the hotel I was staying at. She was very kind and spent some time teaching me how to style my hair. She makes good conversation too. The salon was very very clean and staff was professional. I would recommend Pure Bliss to those in the area needing a services!

I have only had two appointments at Pure Bliss with Kayla and I am so beyond happy with my results! My first appointment was scheduled the week after quarantine went into affect, and Kayla was amazing at communicating with me on rescheduling when restrictions were lifted! I’m so happy with my results every time I go in and I don’t plan on going anywhere else for the foreseeable future!

I have been coming to Pure Bliss salon for 2 years!!! I see Megan for my hair and she is AMAZING! I would recommend her to anyone. She is so patient and understanding. My hair always looks AMAZING and I always have great conversation with her while receiving my hair service. Everyone always compliments my hair and it looks great!! I have extremely long and thick hair and other stylists in the past have sometimes made me feel like a burden because of how much time goes into my hair... Megan NEVER does that. She always compliments my thick hair and is just amazing, amazing, amazing. I’ll never see anyone else for my hair!

I purchased a package for my daughter and me. The package included a massage, body treatment, facial and lunch. When we arrived at the spa, we were taken to our rooms but had to carry our clothing from room to room (no lockers). At the end, when I asked about lunch, after much discussion I was given $20. I spent $450 for a spa day. Very disappointing that the receptionist was not very knowledgeable regarding services or the owner tried to tell me that I received a longer service than the package allowed. What could have been a great experience turned out poorly

Nathan is by far one of the most talented hair-stylists I have come across. He works with finesse and is articulate in the things he does. He did an amazing job bleaching, dying, treating, and then cutting my hair.The B3 bond builder this salon offers is a great product. It was definitely worth paying for the service because the product made me feel like my was not tampered with bleach (which it was). My hair felt even better than before.Highly recommend this salon.

Update back in today 3/12/21 for a 90 minute massage did not take a bonus card, did accept a $40 off coupon. Booked another massage with another coupon but was told they werent accepting any more of their discount coupons after the next massage. Make up your mind will you!! Will go back and use my discount but highly doubt I will be back after that. Also notice no response to my review :-( I guess they just dont care..I have had quite a few massages here. My husband bought me a gift package for Christmas 2019. Then covid hit. When I came back in January 2021 some of the bonus cards and coupons had expired 11 29 2020. I was told they would not honor the bonus cards. Upset I left telling myself I would not be back. Then came across another gift card so booked again. When I checked out she said she would take a bonus card $25 since my girl didnt come in and I had to reschedule with someone else. Happy about that so I booked again. If they take the remaining 2 bonus cards I have I will update my star rating. If not I wont be back. I have not come across any business that isnt making adjustments due to covid19. I think a business that doesnt honor what they put out within reason is not a business I care to spend my money with.

Just got my hair in an up-do for my sons wedding! Kayla was wonderful! The salon is located in a business complex, so not as easy to find, but they have a big space that can accommodate many. You could easily bring a large bridal party here. Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment is recommended. Havent tried other services yet, but they appear to be full service. Clean with a nice atmosphere.

Update 4/3Had another massage by Travis. Ive now been coming for massages for I think 2 years or so and will continue to do so. The professionalism by the massage staff is wonderful. I have had several solo massages and several couples massages and we both absolutely love our time spent here. Have there been small issues in the past? Sure, has the management and owners made it right? absolutely. I think we all forget that we are all human and that sometimes things dont go out way. But if everyone just has a little patience and understanding things are usually made right. Thank you Pure Bliss and again Travis for giving me 90 minutes of quiet, relaxing, stress melting time.Had a couples massage. Besides waiting a little longer than expected for it to start very good experience. We both were treated nicely and were kept informed as to why we were starting late. Kudos to Travis and Monique for our relaxing morning at Pure Bliss

Melissa Withey is simply a wonderful person and a truly gifted professional. She always knows exactly what to do to make my hair look great and make me feel beautiful. I love my color and the style was perfect for our low key outdoor wedding. She made everyone in my party feel at ease and always goes above and beyond for her clients. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a stylist or colorist to go see Melissa.

I have a great experience every time I visit!

They have a great set up! A lot of amenities to enjoy! Sauna and shower in the locker room for use before or after a great massage. A relaxation room while you wait for the therapist or to collect yourself before getting dressed to head back out into the world. A great place of Zen!

So far I have received a pedicure and eyebrow threading here and was very happy with both services. The esthetician who worked on my eyebrows was knowledgeable and explained ways to achieve optimal hair growth and symmetry in both eyebrows, which I have never experienced in the past. I was pleasantly surprised by her advice. The nail technician was extremely friendly and did a great job. Prices are comparable to other salons. The salon is much larger than I was expecting and has a nice, clean atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

This is the best salon I have ever gone to!I have trust issues with stylists and the stylists there are amazing. Especially Melissa Withey, she has really put my fears at ease.The salon itself is beautiful and offers so many amenities. I’m moving to Birmingham and I will make the drive just for their services!

My wife set up a couples massage on Valentines day and when we get here for the massage they want to put us in different rooms. When she called they said they still had one spot open at 9am for a COUPLES message.. why would a couple on valentines day go for separate massages? The owner was there and when he came to talk to us was very smug and didnt seem to care. Said they never assume for couples they want to be in a room together and that all couples are different. Didnt offer any solutions to make the situation better. We get massages pretty frequently and will never be back to Pure Bliss in Grand Blanc.

Very over priced! I feel I was taken advantage of of by the stylist. My 14 yr old daughter had about an inch trim, wash and straightened and we were charged 65.00! All the other salons I have gone to charge 30 to 35 for the exact same service. Needless to say, we will never go back

I went to get my eyelash Extensions and the process took over 2 hrs. So I basically went to sleep during the process just to wake up and have a mirror handed to me and see the most Beautiful eyelashes!!!! Thankyou Jasmine!!!

Lovely place to go and unwind. They offer manis, pedis, massages, facials, and you can even get your hair done. The nicest staff members. They offer full robes and slippers for your massage experience as well as a relaxation room prior. Its why I keep doing back.

I am the worst hair client ever. I am never fully satisfied with my color or cut. I have been to salons all over Genesee County & I finally found my salon. I had given up spending big money with little satisfaction, so for months I have been trimming & coloring my own hair. I finally had made it such a mess, I needed help. I called Pure Bliss on a whim & found gold! I got an appointment with Rose, who is an artist & a magician! Not only that, she is sweet, she listens, she sees your vision & most importantly, she makes it happen! The salon is clean, friendly & professional. I am so happy with my color & cut, I love it! I found the only salon for me & Rose, you are simply the best!

Got there 10 mins early only to sit for 25 mins to be told my stylist, Sara, wasnt coming. My first experience was great and I dont feel the salon deserves the bad rating, but this is the only way to give Sara a bad rating.

Ive been coming to Pure Bliss for one year following several recommendations from a few friends. Lia Volpe does my hair and Natalie was doing my nails when I was maintaining them. I truly cannot say enough good things about this salon. From the front counter staff to the Stylist Assistants, everyone is fantastic and friendly. The selection of products is profuse and well vetted. The services offered are extensive. The facility itself is well maintained and trendy. Finally, Lia & Natalie: true talent! I have never had a nail technician custom shape an acrylic nail free form in seconds the way Natalie did! Her nails & polish selection are top notch. Lifting is not a thing when Natalie does your nails. And, my hair is the healthiest & most beautiful it has ever been since Lia began caring for it. I am continually complimented on my color and it is endless what she can achieve in one sitting! My hair holds curl for the first time since it was very short. Im excited to do my hair for special events now because I know that it will come out beautifully every time. Having a talented colorist & stylist is a genuine rarity! If youre in need of a new all-encompassing salon & spa, look no further! Pure Bliss is sure to deliver!

Had excellent Mani/pedi a couple of times with Elana. Had leg, bikini and brow wax. It was okay but they totally missed a big batch on my leg. Nice full service salon with massages, facials, etc... They know how to pamper a person but it is very expensive. I used to live in the Detroit burbs and this is much more expensive than any of the full service salons I went to down there.

I had a hard time deciding what to give as a review out 5 stars because of the experience we had. I know there were and there still are great stylists that work at this salon and I dont want my rating to affect the great ones who are still working here. That being said I wanted to be honest in my rating because Ive never experienced what I experienced here before. We had been having our daughter go to a specific stylist here for over year (we will call her stylist A). I recently called and made an appointment and asked for an appointment with stylist A. No one said anything to me about her not working here anymore and scheduled our appointment for a full highlights cut and style with A. Because we hadnt been there in a few months I called on the day of the appointment to get an idea of the cost and was told stylist A decided to refer us to another stylist (we will call her stylist B). I asked why A referred us to B and the receptionist said it was because A didnt work there but one day a week now and couldnt keep us as a client. So we decided to proceed with the appointment because I figured if A referred B then they should be just as good as A. When we got to the appointment B was late. We discussed with B what we wanted done (full head of highlights, trim and style the standard). We know what its supposed to look like because we have been doing this for years and are not new to getting hair done. Side note: B looked surprised when I mentioned who referred us and said A didnt work there anymore (this should have been a big red flag but I didnt think much of it). When the appointment was done my daughters hair looked nothing like we discussed but it had been 3 hours so we went home after paying $150. When we were home I took a closer look and saw the awful job that was done and the damage to my daughters hair. Her hair was not highlighted all through out, it wasnt even blended, some areas had no highlights when they should have, she had a big wide blonde chunk highlighted like a skunk and she had areas that looked over processed and breakage. I debated on how I wanted to address this and then I called and talked to the manager and informed them of it. Manager said they would look into it but said that it wasnt A that referred us to B but another stylist (we will call her C who has the same name as A) who referred us and C is the one who works there still only once a week and that A stopped working there a while ago. The manager called back and asked us to come in and have the owner look at our daughters hair. We went back to the salon and the owner looked at it and after telling me that B was a very skilled stylist offered to have someone else fix her hair for free. We said no thank you and requested a refund. Thankfully the owner gave us a full refund and apologized. I found out a few days later that NEITHER stylist A or C have been working at this salon and they both werent even working here when I booked the appointment, so I feel lied to about that by the receptionist and the manager. When I made the appointment intially they could have said to us that our specific stylist didnt work there and asked if we would like a new one or something. NO ONE actually referred us to stylist B (who clearly isnt very skilled). I firmly believe we were just told that to keep an appointment at this salon. Even though I feel we were lied to and had an awful experience I will give credit to the owner for giving us a full refund and apologizing.

I love the place! Everyone is super nice! I get a massage every couple of weeks from Deanna who is wonderful! I highly recommend this place to everyone!
