I think Doctor Carr is the best, she has the sweetest attitude and personality of any doctor I have seen She is a very blessed person....I just love her...

In an effort to gain a collaborative approach to my personal healthcare, I sought treatment at Stedman-Wade Health Services in Wade, NC. The PA assigned to me promised an approach that would allow me to be involved in my medical treatment. In accordance to apparent guidelines within the practice, the PAs decision was overruled by a supervisor who has never met me or talked with me--even though the PA and I came up with a plan of treatment. Though the treatment I sought is PROVEN to be highly effective among men my age, it was refused to be tried on a low-dosage and short-term basis, even with my willingness to be subject to as many follow-up appointments as they wanted to schedule me. Their refusal is reflective of an authoritarian approach to healthcare, demonstrating that this practice is no different than the one I left from. If you are looking to be involved in your healthcare treatment, know that this was not made available to me at this place--now I have to go through the whole process of coming to know a new provider (hopefully one who will advocate for my healthcare needs in a collaborative method that *includes* me).

I called the other day to make an appointment my husband and I just PCS here and I found out I was pregnant three weeks ago. I told whoever I was on the phone with that and she told me I can’t be seen until December. So I’m going to find a new doctors office where I can actually be seen because I’m already 7 weeks pregnant and can’t wait until December. If I could I would give zero stars for lack of service and the lady I talked to kept putting me on hold and was very rude.

Advertises itself as a sliding scale fee service but I just received a bill for over $260 for a single visit in which Dr. Ellen McLaurin spent only a few minutes in the room with me and barely did anything but ask me the questions I already answered on their patient portal well in advance of my first appointment with them. This is an absurd fee for what was done, on top of being put on several different medications, some of which they sent to the pharmacy TWICE. I was scheduled for a follow-up in three months... are they going to ask for another $260 then, too? I pay out of pocket and make less than $10,000 a year, do they really expect me to be able to give their office 1/10th of my yearly income, as well as pay for my medications? I cant afford that and live. No one on my income could.

Ive seen some of the more recent reviews and was confused because I just had an appointment on the 1st and everyone was wonderful. So I thought Id share my experience. The receptionist Purity was very friendly and made sure I was prepared and understood how the tella-health would work. Then the woman I met before the doctor came in who did my screenings, Venice I believe, was great. We were laughing the whole time and she made me feel really comfortable, and Mrs. Ellen McLaurin was my provider and she was very professional and nice. Overall I liked my experience and plan on staying with them.

Horrible care. I saw Ellen McLaurin twice and will never come back. In my initial visit I explained that I had some symptoms I was worried about so she had me go get a blood test and an ultrasound. At my follow up she talked about my other medications with me and tried to hang up without discussing my test results. When I pointed it out for her she said “they didn’t tell me you were here for a follow up” and glazed over the results without giving me any next steps. After all that they scheduled 2 separate appointments for me that I did not agree to after I told them I would not be coming back. After all that, she never sent in my prescription. I am out of it and the office is closed. I need the prescription so I don’t know what to do. I am trying to call on the nurse answering service but can’t get through. Additionally, they call you over an hour before your appointment to make you get online! Some people have schedules. I would understand up to 20 minutes, but an hour both times? Even during covid I have never seen a doctors office just refuse to see all patients in person. Useless. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.

I had first gone in before they could do much due to covid and explained I couldnt eat due to a filling falling out and was in alot of pain. They had me come in to take x-rays and sent me home saying they cant do fillings for a few months. I came in today and had talked to the receptionist and was told they might be able to wave the exam fee as I was charged before when they couldnt help me and had to go to another office in the end. When I got here today she said I cant have my fee waved because they did the xrays and the reason they had me come in was cause the my could give antibiotics which I had non givin to me so they had me come in knowing they couldnt help me and just to take my money instead of being honest and letting me know there would be no resolution to my problem until a long time later at their office.

Places on hold for over 20 minutes just to say cant be seen until October last time I visited my daughter had an anxiety attack something I used to taking care of they didnt listen some lady who didnt know anything about my daughters medical background had too much to say and only made my daughters anxiety worse never going back there for myself or my children not sure if the receptionist named bahiyyah is till.there but she was the best thing about this place

Worst service in 22 years of Army military service. They sit on referrals and never submit them, I call and get trasffeed and some how call gets dropped. Also, when trying to put a formal complaint I get a voice mail with no name. Lastly my wife complained about dizziness and was given abdominal pain medicine 🙄Stay away from this clinic.

Good doctor bad customer service on hold for many minutes even for urgent situations

I’ve been a patient here for maybe 8 months? My first appointment was a telehealth visit. I blocked off a 2 hour time window during my work schedule to have a little bit of cushion in case dr McLaurin was late because doctors usually are. I waited all the way past my time allotted during my work day and had to stop waiting for her because I had my own clients I needed to take care of, at their scheduled appointment times.. so never got to talk with her. She called me the next day and sincerely apologized so I figured I’d give it another chance. Fast forward to this week, I’ve had enough refills of my medication to last until now, so like I always do a few days before I’m out, I asked for a refill and was informed I need to have a doctors appointment first. I understand that I need check ups for this specific medication, but now I’m completely out of medication and I was NEVER informed when that was going to be, so now I won’t have any medication until January, easily. I have an auto immune disease and this is going to ruin the next month for me, thanks to the lack of communication from Dr McLaurin, once again. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

Friendly and very nice doctor and nurses

I have been a patient for less than a year and I am very satisfied with the services received thus far. Julia Niemi is great! She provides timely and appropriate referrals for subspecialty care beyond her area of expertise which is fundamental to responsible patient care and prudent risk management.

This place does not show any patient care at all!After moving to Fayetteville a few months ago I was assigned this office as my PCM. I have not been seen here because they refused to see new patients until August. I called when I had an urgent need to see a doctor and was again denied an appointment until August. I went to an urgent care instead and then the following day had to go to the Emergency Room where I was admitted and had an emergency surgery. I was in the hospital for 6 days. I needed another surgery and was told by Tricare that my PCM needed to sign off on it. So I called again for an appt to be seen for that. I again was told they wouldn’t see new patients until August. My husband explained the urgent situation for needing to be seen and needing the surgery and the insurance requiring my PCM to authorize it. They again refused to see me and wouldn’t even bring it up to the doctor. This is a horrible way to treat patients and I will never recommend this place to anyone.*****MILITARY FAMILIES BEWARE***** when looking for a PCM..... keep looking. I’ve been seeing Dr. Henderson-Hines since I was about 14, and no matter the distance I will not give her up as my primary doctor. I happily travel distances to see her because she is attentive, personable, she goes above and beyond and I just refuse to be under anyone else. I follow her to every practice she goes to.

I had searched long and hard to find a primary care physician like the one I found at Wade Medical in Fayetteville NC. Dr. Sandra Carr is very personable, professional and proactive. I really liked getting a printed report of each office visit prior to departing.She is quite talented - being able to listen to ones concerns and evaluate while documenting it on the computer is truly an amazing talent. Her office staff is also very caring, courteous and professional. No long waits for an appointment or your turn to see the doctor, and a reasonably comfortable lobby. Sadly, I moved over 120 miles away and needed to leave her practice. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a great physician!

I can honestly say that I actually look forward to my appointments because I get to see and talk to the nicest staff and doctors you could ever ask for. I have never felt rushed or that I was not taken care of...they truly do care about you...I especially love Ms. Margie 💞 she always has a hug and smile every time I see her...hang on to this group...they all are winners in my eyes 😀💞💖🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

I came to NC and needed a doctor, my co-worker told me about Dr. Carr. Im glad she did shes the best Ive ever had and will tell anyone needing someone to listen before acting to see her. She has really renewed my faith in the medical profession. Her staff is very friendly and will make sure your visit is a great one. Shes been my PCP for the last five years and I have no intentions of moving to anyone else. She has helped me understand my illness and corrected me when I was going down the wrong path eating the wrong foods. She helped me make the decision of my life, I refused to do dialysis and she never pushed me. She told me if I wanted a kidney transplant to go for it and I am. At her last appt dropped off paperwork for my mother in laws handicap placard renewal. The Dr. couldnt sign it during the appt. A seven business day processing time has turned into we cant locate her paperwork. Talk about exceptional customer service.
