“Dr. Jimmy” is both skilled in surgery and also the art of communicating. My mother had very high risk surgery last year. He told us what we needed to know to understand why surgery was necessary, despite very high risk of life, but in a way that was both practical and reassuring. And the surgery was successful and has remained so. Both he and Dr. Stevens deserve high praise!

A very thorough surgeon with great follow up!

Dr. Franklin is one of the most caring, committed and gifted doctors Ive ever known. He truly tries to do everything he can for his patients. A very dedicated doctor. A blessing to our family.

My husband went to ER with stomach pain. He was seen by Dr Franklin who told him he needed emergency surgery and would probably have a bag when all was said and done. He also told him it was because he smoked. Thats why he was in this position. Thirty minutes into surgery he came out and said his colon was fine. Nothing wrong with it. He gave the pictures to my mother and never spoke to me. Three days later my husband was released from the hospital still not knowing what was wrong and we never saw Dr. Franklin again. He didnt bother to come talk to either one of us after the surgery or tell us anything. Not impressed with Dr. Franklin. He could have had the courtesy to atleast speak with me or my husband after the surgery and say he was mistaken about what he thought was wrong. I feel he did an unnecessary operation that is going to cost my husband in the future. He now has weeks of recovery from a surgery that solved nothing. I bet Dr. Franklin will be paid for his unnecessary surgery.
