I had such a wonderful experience. My doctor was Hannah. LOVE HER. I have tried other practices in Fayetteville and was sorely disappointed. I didn’t feel like other doctors listened to me- to what worked for me, what my concerns were, what I’m comfortable with. Hannah did all of that. I didn’t have to wait for an hour to be seen after my appointment time (huge plus!). Everyone was so nice. Sometimes getting through to reception can take a few tries, but with COVID, I understand many places are short staffed. I have switched to this practice and will continue using them.

Had good experiences in the past. And the doctor is pretty awesomebut none of that matters when front desk is rude. THEY scheduled me a follow up for one year later after after having a mole removed! They did! I didnt ask for it, I just did what they asked while checking out at my last appointment. Heaven forbid at the time of making my appointment someone take 10 seconds to see if my referral through tricare is still valid a year later. So after finding a baby sitter, driving 20 minutes, they tell me my referrals is expired, its my fault, and responsibility and I can pay out of pocket or leave. Pretty crummy. Lets also hope I dont actually have anything wrong in the time it takes for me to get a new referral, and find a new place because I wont be back.

Hanna is awesome and so is her med-tech KC!! Im sorry if I spelled KCs name wrong....I have seen many dermatologist in my lifetime, having MM its super important to keep your 6 month checks...I am so happy to have found this group! I moved to NC in March and finding new doctors is always so hard...but I cant say enough good things about Carolina Skin Care!

Rude office staff. They never answer the phones or return any messages. I was a new patient but Ill be taking my business elsewhere. They certainly didnt care when I cancelled my second appointment. I highly suggest considering other dermatologists in the area. Fayetteville has several that would have to be more professional.

In 2019 I had photofacial laser surgery to help control Rosacea with excellent results! Felicia, the anesthetist is very friendly and professional and took her time explaining each step of the procedure. #worththeinvestmentIn 2020, my appointment with David Klumpar, MD is consistently excellent with a warm reception from staff and provider. I highly recommend Carolina Skin Care for your dermatology and spa needs!

I spent 22 years in the U.S. Army and have seen a number of Dermatologist across the world. None of them, not one, was as professional as Shannon Ellis. She is great. I try to make sure that I schedule my appointments so I only see her and her crew when I go there. She is great! Oh...and if she reads this...Hey..its working! (My nick name is Tony. I had a very sad experience as I first entered the office. I was glad to see signs that any patients not wearing a mask will be asked to reschedule appointment. When called to go upstairs, I notice the receptionist was not wearing a mask. I questioned it, before getting closer to hand her my Insurance policy card. She replied We do not need to wear a mask up here but wait, I am wearing it to protect you and you do not wear it to protect us??? She confirmed she does not need to wear it. Doctor and nurses and other staff members were wearing masks. This lady was checking patients in without any shield, mask or worry to maintain distance. I was very shocked and disappointed.

I have always believed an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Accordingly, I have monitored my skin condition and concerns at Carolina Skin Care for several years. Recently, after a routine exam, they asked me back to take care of a problem. Their advice was to take care of this minor issue while it was still minor. They would also continue to monitor my skin. We scheduled an appointment.I went in for my procedure on the appointed day and time. I was impressed with their prompt attention and excellent customer service. I was prepped for the minor procedure by one of Dr. Klumpars associates. He arrived soon after, went straight to work and quickly resolved my problem. I also got thorough post-OP instructions Everyone was quick, courteous, professional and as kind and pleasant as can be! Im a big fan of great customer service in general...and Carolina Skin Care specifically! Great practice!

The doctors and staff in the Pinehurst office are wonderful, never had a bad experience. During my recent visit I waited in the parking lot, which I have to say, I kind of prefer. Was called up and escorted to a room. (This should always be an option, even after the pandemic.)However, this is where they lost a few stars. I was considering a two star rating. During my 2019 visit I noticed the baseboards, door (stains, ugh!), picture frames and vent covers were covered with thick dust. Disgusting. I said nothing, thinking it must be an isolated incident. So here we are COVID-19 2020 and what is the first thing I notice? The same thick dust, everywhere and stains on the door of the room. This time I could not let this go by without commenting.I pointed out my concerns to the doctor and commented that if things do not change I would be looking for a new dermatologist. Why the doctors/staff dont notice or complain about how dirty the office is, is beyond me. It is gross.I was told Im not the first person to point this out. Why hasnt anything been done? This is unacceptable. I dont know that I can continue to overlook a dirty medical office if something is not done in 2021.

Front desk staff are very friendly. Was seen on time. The MA showed me to the procedure room, explained the procedure, then asked if I had questions. Dr. Klumpar came in and introduced his self, and explained why and how the procedure would be done, again. Both were super friendly and easy to talk to. Took my mind off of everything happening. Procedure was fast and thorough. Was given care instructions and was told if I had any problems, not to hesitate to come back. Very satisfied with my experience. Front desk also ensured I had a follow up that fit my schedule.

We were a military referral to dermatology for an acne problem with regard to one of my children. Dr. Klumpars practice was the most convenient and timely. The appointment with our primary care military doctor produced a prescription for a topical and antibiotic along with this referral. Approximately within a week we were seen at Dr. Klumpars office. When the doctor entered the examination room, she came with nearly an immediate suggestion for Accutane. I asked why we couldnt give the antibiotic time to show results as it had not even been a week in its application. Her response dismissed my concern as she continued pressing the drug onto my child. Our suggestion that a serious compound like that was excessive was only met with pointed [professional] hostility. She even went to the extent of saying There is a lot of [abundant] negativity out there with regard to this drug. You need to ignore what you read online when researching this drug. There were too many red flags to collate during this visit. In less than a five minute examination where a physical review of the patient was all but sidestepped, it was abundantly evident that their livelihood as a medical practice hinges on maximum application of the drug Accutane. I am sure there is valid application of this drug (Isotretinoin) but our mild case of acne seemed unnecessarily rash. Reading into the immediate side effects and unknown (speculated in their brochure) but very gravitational long term negative health impacts, I see their high pressure sales practice as being to the detriment of the safety and wellbeing of children within their influence. This was the first time I experienced how vicious a medical establishment can be when their lifeline is likely a pharmaceutical source, not solely patient insurance (the latter being significantly less). As this review is open to one response without opportunity for me to counter beyond this dialogue, I say this: I am not a Karen”, fanatic or tin-foil hat type. Nor am I a doctor. But ethical practices and the do no harm oath dictate that a number of contingencies be exhausted before applying a very risky/detrimental drug to a young and developing body (this is a drug that requires a national drug registration and signed contract before taking it due to the grave health consequences). They did not care about diet, stress, the wear of sports pads directly on the affected area; going to the extent of saying these elements had no impact when answering our inquiry about them. They paid no mind to analyzing the patients unique situation or even understanding other factors that could be explored to diagnose and remedy this situation. After leaving their office without a horribly debilitating prescription drug, we ventured into a holistic look at our sons treatment. With the help of our primary care doctor, sufficient time with [and application of] the antibiotic/a mild topical and healthy lifestyle implementation, we have eliminated the acne. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Your childs (or your) life literally depends on it.(ref. Isotretinoin/13-cis-retinoic acid AKA: Accutane, Absorica, Zenatane, Myorisan, Claravis, and Amnesteem)

Cassidy was great. She answered all of my questions and gave me all my options. Ive only been once but I have no complaints about my first appointment. The lady at the front counter can stand to smile a bit more but she could have been having a bad day. 🙂 Other than that the only negative thing I would have to say and the reason for 4 and not 5 stars is I couldnt get an appointment for two months out.

I had my first appointment with this office today. Everyone was very professional and I was seen in a very timely manner. I had a appointment 1 month ago at this place, keep in mind it took me two months to get a appointment and when I went to the appointment they told me that they couldn’t treat me because the bumps or blisters on my skin had already started to heal. I had Folliculitis and some of the skin was still showing a infection but yet they told me I had to wait till some new bumps appear for them to diagnose and treat me. I showed them pictures that I had taken on how the bumps first looked when they appeared and still I got sent home with nothing or any treatment. It was all a waist of time and money. By the time you can get a appointment your skin may have started to heal. The wait is too long and they need to have someone there available to see patients that may need to be seen as soon as possible and not two months out. This is ridiculous and poor patient service.

I waited until I had a few appointments to leave a review to ensure a good experience each time.My initial appointment... I did have to wait a few weeks, maybe 5? However with so few dermatology offices in Fayetteville - I knew there would be a wait, if you expect any less than a month at minimum for a wait, then you’ll want to go to Raleigh or Pinehurst where the wait is 2-3 weeks in the less than stellar offices. My first appt was great- Hannah and her team listened to my concerns, respected my wishes, and even set me up with a great home delivery for medications. My second visit was just as good and I really enjoy the team there, the wait once checked in isn’t long, and it’s easy to get to the office. **I do wish they would not play the radio overhead because of the commercials for other doctors, and even another dermatologist!

I called for an appointment on May 20th, 2019Was told I could have an appointment on June20th, 2019. Then received a card in the mail changing my appointment to July 30th, 2019.Which would have have me waiting 2 months and 11 days. I understand tho ha come up but when you call to be told you already have a month to wait and then get brushed off to an even longer date isn’t good business. I put this up yesterday and it was removed. I’m gonna check it daily and if it’s removed put it right back up. Other potential customers should see not only the stellar reviews but the ones who were done wrong too.

The fact that you have to wait 2 months to be seen is insane, and I mentioned it was a mole of concern.. they said urgent care/primary care but neither of those want to say anything because it’s not their specialty ..frustrating to say the least!!! It’s already stressful enough when you have freckles/moles that need to be checked
