Ive seen Dr Breckbaum three times in 7 months. Two of the appointments were moved due to a week-long vacation by him. My last appt was 2:30pm I was seen at 3:39pm. He had booked over 40 patients to be seen that day by him. I cant say that I felt I had a lot of time to get questions answered.. they need a mid-level PA or nurse practitioner or not book so many people in one day if they want to give quality care.
Dr. Brekelbaum is amazing. When I first moved up here from out of state, he reviewed my medical records thoroughly and talked to my previous doctor to get a good understanding of my somewhat unique situation.Hes very conversational, empathetic, and authentic. He also respects his patients. I have a rare medical condition that many medical professionals know very little, if anything, about, which often makes those affected have to do extensive research on their own. I can count on one hand the number of doctors who actually listened to me.Note: I wasnt showing up with Facebook posts and acting like that was credible research. I looked into actual medical journals and peer-reviewed studies. When he wasnt familiar with some of the things I found, he wrote it down and ACTUALLY LOOKED INTO IT. (Yeah, some of yall know how big a deal that is.) This led to him giving me a treatment regimen that, for the first time in nearly 10 years, gave me relief. Actual relief.Ive only had two issues:1. It can take a while to get in, but thats true almost everywhere, especially in an area that has - what? - nearly a million people and, like, -3 specialists.2. There is only one bathroom in the waiting room, and pretty much everyone has to pee in a cup. I mean, thats not anyones fault, though. You work with the facilities you have.Pro tip: Ive used the bathroom by the exam rooms when I got called back before I could use the one out front. You just have to let your nurse know so they can go collect the sample.Tl;dr - Dr. Brekelbaum is awesome.(Apologies for once again writing a novel for a review. I could fill a thousand pages about how concise I am.)
In Re: Dr. Chad BrekelbaumNow in the autumn of life and plagued with male plumbing problems (most of them iatrogenic in nature), I had sunk into despair and depression. After being hauled unconscious to an emergency room because of a urinary tract infection and septicemia, I made up my mind as I began to recover to seek the best urologist on Earth. Multiple inquiries guided me to Chad Brekelbaum, MD, board certified urologist in Northwest Arkansas.Never have I been more impressed with a physician. Dr. Brekelbaum tackled my complicated problems with precise determination, extensive medical knowledge, and the sincere kindness and honesty of an earlier-days country doctor. Describing my risks as well as alternatives in his planned mode of treatment, to which I agreed, he restored my hope and invigorated my will to live.Do not be deceived by his youthful, Adonis countenance. Dr. Brekelbaum knows what he is doing, is extremely well-trained. Judiciously he combines both art and science of medicine, magnificently mixing old-fashioned competence and integrity with New Age wisdom and know-how. Hippocrates would be duly proud of him.I submit the foregoing with the sincere belief I have the background to know a little more than the average person does about this subject. A physician myself, I once was an assistant in medicine for three years, on the medical school staff of the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.Submitted sincerely,Bob S.
Dr. Brekelbaum is the very best urologist. Thankful every day for the life-changing results I received through surgery he recommended and performed; been a patient for years; he does care about his patients.
After one uneffective vasectomy, I was told that the second wouldnt cost me anything out of pocket, as long as I still had insurance. My insurance and I had already paid for the procedure. No thank you, Ill go elsewhere.
There are ethical doctors, and doctors who care more for patients than pocketbooks - - but Brekelbaum? Hes in it for the money. Read the forms they force you to sign - - and check your rights. Then find another doctor, and be grateful you werent taken in by this one.
Horrible Experience!! I can’t belive this guy even has a medical license!!
Terrible customer service and a joke of an office.
My experience with this guy was terrible and I would avoid him like the plague. Im using another urologist now and theres no comparison!
