The other reviews are 100% true and sound exactly like my experience. I wouldn’t go back here if it was the last orthodontist open. They say they will call you back but never do. They change appointments without notice or cancel completely. Do not waste your time or money with any of the Coast Dental offices

Really Poor Customer Service - stay away. I took off work for a scheduled & confirmed appointment. I was greeted at the check-in counter with who are you and you are not on the schedule. After I gained my composure, the staff at the front desk blamed corporate. I called corporate repeatedly asking for someone to call me, that has not happened. Someone did call me to try and squeeze me in to a sudden cancellation, but when I asked about the appointment that was not honored, they lied to me stating that Coast Dental attempted to contact me; that was not true. I recommend you use a dental office that takes care of customers, not lies and ignores scheduled appointments.The Coast Dental response below is non-sense and does not address the issue of not honoring my scheduled and confirmed appointment for treatment nor getting a reasonable explanation for their actions. I took off work for no reason and wasted my time. Coast Dental did not meet it’s commitment to treat me; still has provided no reason, therefore I had a very poor customer experience. Calling the customer quality after the fact will not change that.

I would give zero stars if I could. The ortho treated my child ok in the three visits we had until the pandemic hit. He then disappeared and the offered zero alternative ortho or timeline for treatment. When I asked if they were going to extend the treatment calendar on the contract I was told no and that I would have to pay for the extension. After 7 months with no treatment and the offices inability to offer a timeline to get treatment I elected to take my child elsewhere. I then tried for many months to get some kind of refund. Both the local office and the corporate office gave me the run around and I have never gotten any financial recovery for treatment not rendered. I am sure they took advantage of many people in the area and profited greatly during this pandemic.Update 3/18: Called the number as the owner note suggests. Left a message with all the requested information. Weeks and weeks go by and still no contact.

I wish I could give zero stars. I booked an appointment with them, I recieved multiple confirmation texts and emails, at which I did my part and confirmed my appointment. All to get to the Fayetteville office and find out that my appointment had been canceled, due to no hygienist being available. I asked why no one called or emailed? The response I got was Oh corporate does that. I tried to schedule with another office and was told that all the ones in my area are looking for hygienist. What a joke. I advise against Coast dental.

Totally in professional period run as a business. I was charged for things not listed when I received my bill from my insurance company. I never received calls to remind me of agreed appointment days. The doctor advised I see another specialist in the chart but never apprised next the patient of what I needed to do for my biggest concern! I would not recommend this practice to anyone! 7-26-20

If i could give zero stars i would. Ever since half of the staff i got to know two years ago left this place has went downhill. Do not recommend.

I have not been to the office yet... I did however call and setup a new patient appointment. Just setting up the appointment took 20 minutes. You speak with an Indian who doesn’t understand English. I’d rather go to the dentist than try to setup another appointment with Coast Dental.

I really enjoyed my visit here and I avoid the dentist office. The staff woman amazing from beginning to end. Michelle was the ice breaker and she was amazing. Dr. Lathon was hilarious and welcoming. Ashley was informative and really nice. I would recommend anyone to visit this location. Peaches has been very nice and helpful with the whole process as well. The staff make you feel like you belong there.

My cleaning took 30 minutes. Ashley was my hygienist and she was awesome sauce. Front desk staff is very nice and friendly. I really like this office and I hope to stay a patient. Come get you teeth cleaned here!

I went here to get my wisdom teeth removed. This was my first time visiting this office and I searched for oral surgeons within my network and close to home. I found Dr. Harrison and she was amazing, being that this was my first surgery ever she really made my process easy with no pain at all. I appreciate her skill and knowledge and her staff that helped make this an easy task. I will definitely recommend her for any oral surgeries.

This place was great, my daughter has been under their care for a few years with getting her braces. They get busy sometimes but the front desk staff works hard in keeping you informed. The entire staff does a awesome job. I would recommend coast dental too my family and friends. In addition, the billing department always let you know what your insurance will cover, you don’t getting any surprises when its time to pay.

They were very nice. That being said they had a few alarming things. They completed part of my x ray with earrings in. The only reason it wasn’t the full x ray was because I read a photo saying earrings shouldn’t be in and I had to tell them so I can remove. It felt like a business where they were always up selling. Adding things that weren’t needed after researched on what they said is best. Not trustworthy just trying to get the most out of every customer.

Going to the Dentist is usually a long, expensive, and painful ordeal for me. However, Michelle is my hero. She came in explained my dental bill and the procedure in a caring and professional manner.Michelle made sure that my deep cleaning was done efficiently and with the least amount of discomfort. I have a few more visits and Michelle is my go to Oral Hygienist. Ive never had such care, compassion, and concern at a dental office before.

First thank you the whole team here, great service and customer service, ran into a complicate, but thanks to Ms. Peaches Office Manger she work it out and I was able get my root canal. Thank you to Miss Bernadette for get me and serviced within 3 days and helping me the service I need done today. Miss Peaches was awesome and patient during all my work calls.

First I want to say thank you for treating me like a person. Ive been to plenty dentist but this staff made me feel great. From the moment I walked in I received a warm welcoming. As soon I was in the back they went over every step and prices. I dont have insurance and on a budget but they still took care of me. I will be back as well as my wife. I was referred by a dentist and my appointment was made by my dentist office and when I came to my appointment they had no record of appointment now I’m waiting for hours to get worked in to see Dr. Yusuf and this is just unacceptable. Coastal Dental as a company is really dropping the ball and I’ve been a patient for years but I will definitely be looking for a new dentistry team to use.

Kira was the best! She made me feel comfortable and hopeful about getting the dental treatment I needed. Tammy and Peaches are very knowledgeable. Amada was a sweetheart! Glad I switched to Coast... Hundreds of dollars saved and pleasant experience.

If zero stars were permitted, this dental office would be getting zero stars. The staff has no sense of customer service whatsoever. When you walk into the office, not one person directs you on what to do NOR do they speak! In addition to this, they are very profit driven. I went twice, and not once did I believe that they knew the source of my pain or could offer the right solution. I got a maybe this can fix your pain. All they cared about is if you could pay them. If you decide to not follow their maybe plan and shell out cash to maybe fix your pain, the staff is not the most pleasurable. God forbid you want to go to another dentist where you would be treated better, they stall in sending your information. The lady there hung up on me. When I called her again, she yelled at me and she put the phone down while I was talking. VERY DISRESPECTFUL staff. Lastly, the facility needs to be cleaner. There is dust everywhere in the patient room. Put simply, find another dentist. There is nothing in this world that would make me come back here.

I love Coast Dental, Fayetteville location. The front office staff is pleasant and inviting. Corey took the time to make sure my visit was an enjoyable one despite having to have my bottom braces put on today. Dr. Chen is the best!!! He has a gorgeous smile. He is patient, he is thorough and cares about his patients. Jessica, who put my braces on, asked was I ok during the process and took her time. Although, she isnt much of a talker, Ill take that as wanting to make sure she gets the job done accurately and timely. 😉 I definitely recommend Coast Dental Fayetteville. I’m so Grateful for every single person at Coast Dental! Had to have an emergency visit and I just knew it was going to be a long and extensive visit. I was in so much pain but everyone was so kind and as gentle as possible. I’ve lived in Fayetteville for years and Never considered this dental practice till now. I now have a new Dental center! I will only visit Coast Dental in Fayetteville from now on! Thanks again ladies, all of you are Angels!

Ive read other reviews where their timely service was praised. I wish the service was timely. My wife and I sat for an hour and a half for a scheduled appointment; all the while watching the lobby fill up and empty twice. Time and again, when questioned, we were told It will be just a few minutes. Theyre finishing up with someone and youre next.

Ill begin by saying Dr. Farryn Harris is a wonderful surgeon and person--and as far as personalities go, so is her assistant. Thats where this ends. My experience with billing was anything but. Although, I have primary and secondary insurance coverage, I was charged a co-pay. I had never been charged a co-pay before, so I contacted my primary insurance, since I was told by the billing coordinator that shed contacted my primary and they required the co-pay.My insurance said not only had they not been contacted, but no co-pay was due because this specific Coast location (Glynn Street) is out of network and the procedure wasnt medical. Usually, my primary will deny coverage, unless its medical and then the claim is submitted to the secondary, where I receive actual coverage and the dentist receives payment.When I informed the billing coordinator of what my primary company stated, I was told I was incorrect and that they were indeed in-network for my insurance company. She insisted, almost angrily. Of course, this was not true, and I called once again to confirm with my insurance company.A rep from my primary insurance contacted Coast Dental directly and was told something completely different. The billing coordinator said it was an office policy to charge a co-pay, regardless of coverage. This is not what Id been told while in the office or once I arrived home and called them. At this point I really felt deceived, taken advantage of, so I filed a grievance with my insurance company.I have no expectations of being refunded my co-pay. Adding to that, despite already having a treatment plan and x-rays sent to them by my general dentist (this was an emergency extraction and my general dentist had no openings), I was still charged a $232 consultation fee, of which I had to pay $46.40 out of pocket.In addition, I was charged $50 for something called a Hemostatic Gelfoam Sponge Placement that I was told was required by the surgeon. Id never had anything like this REQUIRED before. My insurance didnt cover this at all, so it was straight out of pocket. Due to the pain I was in, I wasnt in a position to debate it, so I paid.In the end, I paid over half of what Ill be charged to have all the rest of my teeth removed that also need to be extracted. For one extraction. Coast Dental will NOT be doing these extractions. Their plan came to three times what Ill pay at the other surgeon where I am scheduled to be seen. Of course, each extraction has the extraneous required sponge fee added to it, along with a co-pay for each office visit. I cannot, in all honesty, recommend Coast Dental, unless youre good with fees pulled out of thin air to further pad their pockets.Were it not for Dr. Harris great work and wonderful personality, I would have given this office the one star Google requires to leave a review.

I was scared to get 4 teeth extracted but my surgeon and staff was the best. I felt comfortable and it was quick. Miss Harrison was great!

Very satisfied!I had a crown lengthening & crown fitting. Coast staff worked around my schedule. Very professional and friendly service. Customer for life. 5 stars! We had some issues at first with my crown not fitting correctly. Rest assure, coast dental and there staff made sure it was right. Putting cost and profits aside. They cared about making it right! Who goes to a doctors office and doesnt anticipate a wait time? I was asked to write a review and I will say that I had a great experience. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The people at work at this office are beyond amazing! They took their time with me and made sure that I felt as little pain as possible( I had a deep clean done). They also made it where my insurance covered most of my bill and I would pay little out of pocket. I never had to wait long to be seen or taken care of which was a big deal to me. My teeth feel and look great and they helped me get over my fear of the dentist. I will never go anywhere but here. 😍

Time management is awful. Waited multiple times over an hour after arriving early for an appointment. Rude front office. Full payment expected upon leaving without waiting to file with insurance company. Demanded full payment after Dr started procedure and numbed gums. Scheduled all work for one day and now made to come back 3X to finish. Would not recommend.

I love Sheila. She is such an awesome person. However, I think the staff turn over is high. I get use to one doctor and one hygienist, and then they are up and gone. I dont do well with that many changes.

I highly recommend this facility. I definitely felt welcomed as I entered the door until I left. The team members here are friendly and they make your visit very pleasant! I drove an hour and half away and was not disappointed! It was worth the drive! Smiling faces and great service! Shaquivias “Peaches” gave great advice and def was apart of the reason I will be returning! There was also another gentleman that accompanied my procedure today! Stay away from these creeps !!! They do not want patients and all their staff simply lacks manners, no time sense. First time I made an appointment in Aug when I was pregnant and hence they did not do even basic cleaning as they would not proceed without X-rays. Today I took appointment at 2pm. After 1hr waiting period, I was annoyed. Then a lady comes saying that she is the only one who does x-rays and I have no right to get annoyed; If I can not wait, then I can cancel the appointment. This is the level of courtesy they show for patients. Never to go back there !!!!

Went in for a check up and I left very disappointed. They dont seem to care about actually helping their patients or working within their insurance limits. They sent in, what felt like, a salesperson at the end of my visit to go over the proposed treatment plan. I was blown away at the extras on this plan. A special toothbrush that cleans itself... Seriously? And what ever happened to an old fashioned cleaning?? I was even more upset at the pushy sales tactics of trying to run your credit to get treatment started quickly on one of their preferred credit carriers. Shameful!

I have visited 2 other Coast Dental offices over the years and the Fayetteville location is by far my favorite. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty in meeting my dental needs, as well as, making sure that I am comfortable. Also, I have sat over an hour waiting to be seen and had to reschedule due to the wait and other appointments that I had. I’m looking for another dentist as we speak.

I took the 8am appointment, assuming I would not have to wait too long, since its the first. Got there 15 minutes early to get paperwork squared away. Didnt see the doctor until 8:45!They charge close to 100$ for a consult, that took less than 15 minutes.Looks to me, they value their own time very highly, but totally disregard mine.And, to top it all off, they played a religious radio-station, and didnt even want to turn it off when I asked them. Only after I walked out (40 minutes after my appointment should have started) they started taking me more seriously.What a difference to my old dentist - having to use a different one now that I moved is one of the biggest drawbacks of moving! Wish I could find somebody I can trust again, who is treating me with respect and as a human - not as a heathen cash cow to be milked and converted

Worst customer service I have ever received from a dental office. My first appointment was at 2pm on 12/22/2016 arrived 1:50pm signed in and picked up paper work on the desk clerk remained on the phone without acknowledgement. Provided paperwork and waited was not taken back until 4:30pm and not seen until 6:00pm. Customers arriving after me were seen before me. They have no manners. When I was taken back and asked what was the delay to seeing me the dental assistant lied stating that she called for me. I never left the room and sat facing the call in door. Set of heartless people.

I had such a good experience at this office. Thats saying a lot since I generally dread dentist appointments. Dr. Fuller impressed me with her knowledge as well as her taking the time to really listen to me. I was so surprised when she was finished, because I thought it would take so much longer. She also numbed the area twice, because she recognized I have very sensitive teeth. A great dentist. I was also very happy with the hygienist, Dawn McGehe. She got me through a four quadrant periodontal cleaning with a great deal of vocal hand holding. She was kind as well as efficient. I have recommended her to friends. Everyone at the office I met had such a positive attitude, especially Michelle at the front desk, and Ann in x-ray. I thank them, and will bring donuts again on my next visit. :)Laura Parham

The service was good but billing and accounting is the worst I have seen in my 69 years on this earth. I visited coastal and had some work performed, paid my bill due upon leaving. 30 days later I get another bill for 168.00. I called my insurance company (Humana) Iwas told that Coastal send in the wrong codes. Humana Gave me the codes and I call Coastal and told them the codes. 45 days later I get another bill for the same 168.00, I decided to take codes to Coastal gave them to the ladies at the front who in terms gave to another ladies inside another room sitting at a desk. As of today Coastal never bill for the 168.00 as stated by Humana. Today I get a call from a collection agency asking for 168.00. Corey and the ortho team are amazing! Everyone is super friendly. They were able to get me in and out very swiftly.

First time I have ever made an appt. for a cleaning and they just did xrays and said my son would have to be put on a cleaning plan. WTH??so we went to another dentist and got the usual cleaning. Can you say insurance scam boys and girls?
