Kate was nice and helpful to train my dog and myself. However, she doesn’t do a good job of following up. Multiple times she has mentioned that she would send me an article or recipe, she never does. Whenever I have a question and text her, she never answer even though during the session she always say to text or email her with questions. She was also show up late multiple times to our session. Other than the things I mentioned above, she’s a great trainer.

High Fidelity Dogs is great, I was looking for an energy outlet for my Boston terrier and came across their beginner agility courses. Kristen the trainer has been awesome, both my dog and I have learned so much and he looks forward to going every time. Highly recommend!

Kate is a treasure! Shes incredibly patient, understanding, and honest. My dog is very stubborn and Kate worked with me to come up with the best tools and toys to keep him on track. She very clearly loves dogs and is extremely knowledgeable in the most effective training methods. One session with Kate made a massive difference in my dogs behavior and I continue to use the tools she provided to train him. Shes also very responsive to emails and answered all of my silly questions and concerns.I definitely recommend Kate and High Fidelity Dogs to anyone whose dog may need some extra help or even if they just want to be a better pet owner.

If you are looking for a compassionate, effective, and understanding trainer, you can end your search right now! I HIGHLY recommend Kate. I sought out help after my dog’s anxious/reactive/guarding behaviors escalated and hit a rock bottom (definitely not helped by the weirdness of quarantine-life and relentless occurrence of nighttime fireworks at the time), and found Kate on the IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) website. I reached out to her with a desperate and heartbroken plea for help, and within 20 minutes I had a kind, validating and thoughtful response directly from her. Kate came to our rescue and I am thankful every day that my search led us to her!Kate is able to empathize with both dog and human, and her patient, insightful communication style has never left me feeling disregarded or incompetent in even the most stressful, unpredictable or frustrating situations. She set us up with a safe and effective plan of action, gave us the tools and exercises to help repair confidence and trust, and became our biggest advocate and cheerleader along the way. She even went above and beyond by helping us find additional outside resources to supplement our care plan and supported us every step of the way. We were set up to succeed because Kate was engaged, motivated, and emotionally invested in our success — it never felt just like she was just going through the motions or trying to make a buck. My little guy and I are an example that with the right trainer and the right techniques, you can experience awesome progress! For anyone experiencing a similar situation— or even if you are just on the fence about whether you should invest the time and money into training—please don’t wait any longer! Reach out to Kate.

Kate’s been great, even if we can only communicate remotely these days. She’s been especially fantastic helping us manage a few issues where a scared but playful rescue has been thrust into a house with young children—so she’s helping train the children in some ways as much as our dog, not an easy ask!

Look. I usually write witty haikus for my reviews but Kate deserves far more. We rescued a 100lb murder dog from Texas during covid. He is super sweet to his family, and derpy and adorable. If you arent family though, he will eat you. He is what they call highly reactive. We didnt know. We were so naive and full of doggo dreams. After a couple months of white knuckling this dog, we called Kate. She is so good at explaining dog behavior and teaching techniques that we felt much more confident. Weve made great progress, and I wish I could say she is magic and immediately fixed dog, but thats not life. Shes patient, helpful, and explains the approach and path forward. She keeps track of progress and always has feedback for you. Were still working on murderdog, but everyone is confident that well get there. I can confidently recommend her highly for all your doggo needs.

My dog Hooch has always been a great dog but can be a little iffy around new people and I just wanted to get in front of it before it potentially became problematic. Kate came by our apartment and worked with Hooch and taught me ways to better reign in his behavior. Its been about 2 weeks and its getting better every day! Weve loved doing this with him and it definitely feels like its made us closer with him because hes gotten much better at listening. I cant thank Kate enough and couldnt recommend her more!

Kate is a very talented trainer who really knows dogs and people! She thinks carefully about her lessons but is warm and friendly and makes sure that everyone has fun. Within that framework, she makes sure to impart to her students her considerable experience about techniques, dog behavior, and interactions between dogs and their humans. So her classes are both very enjoyable and highly instructive. Dogs love her, and she is good with reactive or quirky dogs that may have had problems in other programs. We have trained with Kate in both agility and nosework, and we compete in both. My dog is eager for her lessons, and so am I. The training space is ample and very comfortable. Kate has helped us so much and is so encouraging that we never feel like weve made a mistake, she just shows us a more effective way of doing things. We love training with her!

We have been overjoyed with High Fidelity Dogs Reactive Rover Agility Class. We have an agility-loving Schnauzer who has a difficult time focusing when other dogs are around; Kate, the trainer, is extra-vigilant in keeping Dexter, and the other sensitive dogs, feeling safe and able to focus on practicing their jumps, ladders, tunnels, etc.The facility is a perfect and intimate setting where Kate can work effectively with dogs be it with scentwork, agility, behavior, etc. My wife and I could not be happier with working with such a personable trainer and in such an appropriate facility. 6 stars.

What can I say about Kate that everyone else hasn’t already said? She is amazing. Classes are always super fun and I leave every class feeling like my pup and I are just a super star team! And we are thanks to Kate’s guidance. My pup was pretty afraid of everything when she came to me and quite by accident we fell into nosework. Classes led to trialing. The first trial type experience started off terribly! My dog was so afraid she wouldn’t even search, I honestly don’t know if we would have continued without Kate as our cheerleader. Today I have a confident dog who will search most anywhere even if she is a little uncomfortable, this has also lead her to being more confident in many other situations. I am so grateful to have found Kate and I can assure you taking a class with her will be every bit as amazing as all the reviews here say it will.

Ive been taking my energetic pup here for a few months now, and she and I are absolutely obsessed!Weve been taking agility classes as a way to burn off energy during the colder winter months, and were hooked. Kate is an absolute sweetheart and dog wizard, and watching her work with different dogs and humans of different abilities and personality types is amazing. Classes are so fun and tailored to the skill level of every participant, really just a phenomenal experience overall. She runs the whole operation singlehandedly, and I just cant fathom a more fun way to spend a weeknight with my pup.Id give her 10 out of 5 stars if I could, and reccomend her to everyone I meet!

We cant say enough great things about Kate and her dog training style. She always has clever tactics to match our dogs specific behavioral quirks. Weve learned so much under her guidance in both agility and scent work, and as a major bonus, our dog LOVES her! 10 stars!!!

Kate is one of those trainers that is as good with the people as she is with the dog. She knows dog behavior, knows how to explain it, and will help you find a solution. On top of excellent behavioral knowledge, Scentwork is her thing. Theres no one around here that knows it better, approaches it with such enthusiasm, or thinks about it as deeply. This is going to be the best place to start to learn the sport and a phenomenal place to grow your dog community. If your dog is a little special... shell get that and help you feel welcome and your dog feel loved even when youre not so sure if anyone else could ever see them like that. Years ago she met me and my dog Beskow, and she quite literally changed our lives. You wont go wrong signing up for a class at High Fidelity- its a fresh face on the dog class market but backed by years and years of teaching and training experience.
