Having foot pain with no history of problems. First appointment, was seen by the doctor for MAYBE 5 minutes. He didnt watch how I walk or anything, immediately told me I need custom orthotics and signed me up for a separate appointment to have those made.Second appointment seemed promising. Had molds of my feet made. Told to come back in a week to pick them up.Third appointment, orthotics are cut to fit into my shoes. They told me to call if they were causing any problems in the next week. Within two days my OTHER foot began to hurt badly in my heel. I called and they wanted to set me up for another appointment where I would have to pay to be seen for a FOURTH time.Bottom line, they pushed me through fast, charged me a ton of money for the orthotics, and wouldnt even adjust them free of charge after 3 appointment copays and the cost of the custom orthotics.Seems like theyre not terribly interested in solving my issue. Just sell me a product that made my feet hurt worse, then expect me to keep paying them.

Medical staff are very friendly and service is up to par, I have never had a complaint with my experience in person. However, it is nearly impossible to get through the phone system to put in a message with reception. I have called on multiple occasions for scheduling needs (not normal scheduling capability available on the online portal - I needed to call back for an insurance pre-cert to get an MRI scheduled with a specific provider) and I have waited over 30 minutes on hold with no option to leave a message. The only available selection is to opt to be called back as soon as possible but this is almost always inconvenient for everyone with work conflicts. If they do not reach me, another message is left advising to follow up back into the same phone queue. This hold time is consistently long despite calling at different ends of operating hours, and should be countered with more staffing to assist with overflow.

Review №33

I was reccomended to them from a doctor at the S. Greenriver rd Urgent Care (which is also practically useless) to treat what was thought to be (and was/is) a sciatic issue. I could barely walk and couldnt stand up straight at all. I hadnt gotten the cane I use now yet so I just had to sorta shuffle all hunched over and take breaks every 10-20ft. Twice I visited in that condition and neither time did anyone so much as ask if I needed assistance or offer any help though both times I saw others getting the use of a wheelchair. I dont know what made them qualify and I was in too much pain at the time to think about it or ask and being a poc I just assumed they werent for me. At the desk I was told I had to pay 100 up front since Im uninsured and would have to pay for any tests or treatment. What they didnt tell me is that that was a downpayment on $230 for the visit. When I saw the doctor he said I needed an MRI and that they charged $500 up front for it but payment arrangements may be possible. He didnt know. When I called to schedule they told me they needed the $500 up front because theyre the cheapest place around to do it. Cause that makes sense somehow. I said I couldnt do that and assumed that was the end of it but then they called me back saying theyd spoken to a supervisor who said it was ok. The person who did the MRI there had more interest in getting it done and me out the door as fast as she could despite the fact that I was in ridiculous pain. She practically shoved me off the table. I hadnt even finished dressing when shed brought the next guy into the room. And then when I got the bill I had not only the $550 charge for the MRI but I had a separate $250 bill for the radiologist. I know they need to get paid too but it wouldve been nice to have been told I was getting charged for that. Id decided to go to Deaconess after having to go to their emergency room when my back finally gave out for real and I couldnt move at all. Id been telling them at Tri-state that it was getting worse but they just gave me weak meds that didnt do anything. But everything about Deaconess was better and they were super informative about every part of the process and after a few hours there I could stand up straight and walk again and for the first time in like 2 months I didnt have any pain. I definitely wanted to be treated there. I just needed the MRI info from Tri-state and after telling me it wouldnt be a problem to send the information suddenly I had to physically go there, fill out release forms and now wait 5-10 business days to get it. Healthcare is a business true, but how you treat people matters and if youre upfront about costs people wont feel ripped off or lied to. Also if you want to compete in business you need to stay current with the trends and technology. I had to call or physically go into Tri-state to get any information at all but through Deaconess I can do everything from communicate with my doctor to seeing my test results online.

I understand they have to ask certain questions but why I don’t have any friends or family and why my daughter was on drugs it’s none of her business. Then she told me that I needed to get a mental evaluation done And see a behavioral therapist and if I didn’t they were canceling my surgery. Now you tell me what my mental well-being has to do with hip surgery. I am not on any medication for any kind of mental disorders so that’s not it either. Dr. Knoll is a very nice doctor however this lady is on a power trip. Be careful if you go to this place.

Thanks to Dr. Boyd, his staff, and Jessica and Jamie in Physical Therapy. The knee replacement surgery recovery process was so much harder than I ever expected. The knee pain was very difficult for about 10 days after surgery. I lost 11 pounds because of loss of appetite due to knee pain; great to lose the weight but not the easiest way to do it. Ive only gained 2 of the pounds back and Im doing my best to keep it off. Physical therapy is not easy but you need to keep at it if you expect a good result. It would have been nice if I had started electrical stimulae to my quads earlier in the process because it was difficult for me to know whether I was contracting those muscles on my own (which I wasnt) and this delayed my recovery. I still have swelling in my surgery knee (1.5 centimeters larger than the other knee) but am told this should improve over the next several months. All of these experiences were worth the effort it required but it is challenging. You all deserve 5 stars. Thank you so much for your help, support and encouragement. I found it humorous when the x-ray technicians told me I was doing so great given the time interval since my surgery; I didnt really feel I was doing that well. I just graduated from PT today.
