We LOVE this doctor!! He is VERY professional, up to date on all of his medicines as well as practices, and he does not overstep his line of practice!! He only has a lower rating at the time I post my review due to only 3 others posting (which after my referrals will certainly not be the case). I am not one to make recommendations lightly, to get my 5 star review is a high compliment! This doctor is a great man of ethical principles.

Went to this Dr for at least 3-4 years in my youth. He Had me taking all kinds of meds. One of which I had a adverse reaction to and it actually made me worse and when I needed a letter of recommendation he demonized me. He doesnt care about his patients, he just wants to make money off of what he is prescribing to you. Dont waste your time. Thanks for nothing Dr. Kaplin.

At first, I felt confident with Dr. Kaplan. I heard nothing but great things; however, as soon as we left his office things changed. If I had questions, it would take 24-48 hours to receive a call back. As a matter of fact, EVERYTIME I called I had to leave a message. I was never able to speak with an actual person. When I did receive the call back, the person returning the call would never be informed enough to answer any questions, which would mean I would have to wait even longer (another 24hr) to get the answer. One time, the person said, “after reviewing the swab testing results he recommends starting him on…” At that point in time, my son had never even taken the swab test – Red Flag! What is going on over there?! I just felt like if he thinks a child has ADHD he automatically starts throwing out different medications and hopes for the best, but doesn’t think that there may be underlying issues present, i.e. co-occurring disorders.I have a son with an anxiety disorder and ADHD. The school emails me daily with concerns, which I would bring to Dr. Kaplan’s attention looking for guidance as to what step to take next. Their website states, “To further strengthen and support treatment, we work closely with schools, teachers, other physicians, therapists, agencies and family members. We encourage each individual to be an ongoing active partner in their care and help to determine the best treatment options.” That is quite simply a joke. I never felt like he was there for me or my son. When I faxed over weekly notes from his teachers he acted like he was inconvenienced and more of a nuisance than actually taking the time to discuss our options. I’m sorry, but if you are going to be working in a profession dealing with children, you need to have the bedside manner to deal with their parents. When I called to try and make an appointment with him, it would take 2+ months to get in. I was told, “Do you understand? He is a busy man.” I get it; however, a good doctor makes each patient a priority. Why is he taking on more patients when he can’t even take care of the ones he already has? He’s money hungry and just wants to get as many patients as he can, but doesn’t truly care enough to take the time with any of them.As a mother of a child who needs help, I felt abandoned. When I finally voiced my concerns on how I felt, I received a call back informing me that they wanted to part ways, and no longer care of my son. While I felt relieved in a sense to be done with this circus they call a practice; I still find myself appalled with the way we were treated and can only HOPE AND PRAY no one feels and is treated the way we were.
