My visit to Dr. Troffkin was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and very cordial and engaging. He was able to explain my diagnosis in an articulate snd encouraging manner and I could not be more impressed with his dedication as well as that of his staff.

Couldnt walk was told I would be in wheelchair saw Dr Troffkin he put me through very thorough texting gave me spinal surgery and gave me my life back. Very professional and thorough cares about his patients and his quality of work and skill cant be matched around this area. Definitely recommend him!

Dr. Troffkin is one of the best surgeons I have had. I like the fact that he is straightforward and to the point and does his dictation in front of the patient so things dont get misconstrued. He removed a tumor from from my spinal cord and my symptoms have gone away. If your concerned about bedside manners you can forget it. Personally I did not hire him for his bedside manners, I hired him to do a procedure to alleviate the head pain I was having.

Rarely does one have the opportunity to say thanks to someone that clearly saved ones life. Dr Troffkin could practice anywhere in the world. And that region would be lucky to have him. I had a double aneurism on 12/23/2019 and know the only reason I’m alive today was because Troffkin was on call. He may not have the sweetest bedside manner but his genius is a rare treat in a world where mediocrity is celebrated.

When I commented to multiple nurses at Deaconess Gateway & Midtown about how exhausting Dr. Troffkin is (dealing with his pretentiousness, smugness, trite comments) one of them said, well, he is one of the top 3 Neurologists in the country.I replied, my father had one of the top 3 heart surgeons in the country who also happened to be a really nice guy - thats not an excuse for poor behavior. For someone so intelligent, Dr. Troffkin is quite simple minded - as most narcissistic bullies are. I can only assume that Deaconess tolerates his behavior (towards the nurses and patients) because of the money he generates and because hes the best - we need him, he doesnt need us...right? If a caring surgeon is what youre looking for, look elsewhere.

Incredibly astute, Dr. T took one look at my husband & knew exactly what was wrong with his lower back. MRI confirmed. Surgery was scheduled expediently. Thorough post-op details. Beyond stenosis, there wassevere entanglement of spinal nerves. Deaconess didnt spare expense to recruit Troffkin to Evansville and we are fortunate to have him.

Dr Troffkins is very rude ,arrogant and pompous! I dont understand why Evansville would tolerate a man like this. Lack of choices ? I have a back injury that has changed my life. I ask a simple question before I can finish asking he would answer what he thought my question would be. He told me I am a prime candidate for a back fusion but he will not do the surgery if I dont quit smoking,no explanation no understanding. I have to wait a month to get the CT scan. And my next appointment to be treated this way ? Maybe hes just having a bad day but after reading all the reviews on this site it looks like he talks down to everyone of his patients if thats how he is in his office I could just imagine how he is in the operating room Half-assed ,in a hurry and does not care about his patient. This is not for me!I am going to get another referral and find a different doctor. Why would anybody put up with this,read all the other reviews and you can clearly see this is not an isolated incident he is a mediocre surgeon in a little town.If you keep your appointment with this man after reading all these reviews you cant say you werent warned

My first surgery was in 2000 at Vanderbilt, in 2017 had sever headacks , was material around the Pituitity, Dr troffkin was very easy to talk to , will continue to see him .

I was very impressed with Dr. Troffkin. He was very professional and very helpful.

Went to have my back fixed and the surgery just put me in more pain and he referred me to a pain clinic in December since he wouldnt do anything else. Just found out 2 months later that the pain clinic he referred me to doesnt accept my insurance after being told by his office that it would. I dont recommend this man to anyone, he treats pain with indifference and cares more about stroking his ego

Do NOT let this buutcher touch you!!! ESPECIALLY for brain aneurysms! My mother made it to the hospital alive, however, Dr. Troffkin refused to come in and do emergency surgery! By the next day, our dear mother was brain dead due to the swelling from being left there all night without proper care! On another note, hes an absolute arrogant ass!

Dr Troffkin ruined my life. Im now blind in one eye because of him. He made a mistake and now I have to live with the deformity for the rest of my life.
