My husband and I have been seeing Dr Blume for years. We travel from Illinois to see him. Its because we trust him with our care. He is kind and considerate. He knows his stuff. Things newer Drs dont consider. I like that. We wont be changing Drs anytime soon.I seldom give 5 stars to anything.Also, those other reviews are old. Consider that.

I went to Dr Blume for over 15 years. In the beginning I had no complaints but the last few years his service has gone downhill. His office staff LIED to me about filing FMLA papers and I almost lost my job. He slacked off on my blood work and just doesnt seem to care. My last visit he was extremely rude to me. I have found a new doctor and wont be going back.

Trying to get the office staff to call RX called into a pharmacy is a joke. Make sure the office does it or it wont get done. Additionally, this office is terrible about getting back with you about lab results. You can call for weeks and its almost impossible to get a hold of anyone.Really unhappy with this office. The doctor is nice enough but his office is a mess. Wouldnt recommend until he gets better help.

Dont bother to call, the front office staff never answers the phone. If they say they will call in a prescription, stand and watch them do it or it wont get done.As for Dr. Blume..comes off as nice and friendly but turns very condescending quickly and laughs like youre an idiot when you ask questions. He asks a couple of general questions, throws a random diagnosis, (which you probably knew before you came in) hands you a script for useless high priced medication, (you know its useless because youve tried it before but he wont listen for you to tell him that) and shows you the door. He really doesnt seem to care.

Our family saw Dr. Blume for about 3 years. I saw him for most of my first pregnancy, and we continued to see him after that. The wait was always very long - often an hour or more in the waiting room, followed by another half hour to hour in the exam room. Spending over 2 hours there and seeing Dr. Blume for only 3 minutes was not uncommon. Dr. Blume is a very nice person, congenial, easy to talk to, etc., but he is over booked and stressed and does not spend much time with patients one on one. Overall, I would not recommend him or his office. His nurses gave me a medication which it clearly stated in my chart I am allergic to - fortunately I caught the error - and they put information about me in my infant daughters file.

Very Rude front office staff. He did nothing to help with my sisters ear infection,and didnt a knowledge her when she was trying to speak to him. He ended up telling her he didnt know what to do or how to treat the fluid build up in her ear.

Great physician, the receptionist is wonderful and his nurse is always wonderful.

Rude front desk and when did it become legal to charge for my records to be forwarded to new doctors in different state. He got records for free.
