Left my dogs there for the first time. Really easy to drop off and pick up. My pups loved it and they even got their fame on facebook. Susan and company did a great job.

The first time they cut my dogs hair they nipped his ear and they had to put a paste on it to stop the bleeding. It was his first haircut so I let it slide. He gets his hair cut once maybe every 4-6 months. No issues until today. Today they cut him in multiple places. Under his eyes. The corner of his mouth, and his neck. Its in his file how short his hair should be cut and they went down to his skin just about. His neck is 2 different lengths. They sent him home with antibiotic gel and said if he gets an infection and has to go to the vet they would pay for it. There shouldnt even be a possibility of that happening. He shouldnt have even been cut. I know that dogs can be difficult when getting groomed but this is what they do as a business. When he was finished they didnt even call me they called my aunt and gave her about 5 minutes to pick him up before they closed for the afternoon or shed have to wait 5pm to pick him up. My dog was there since 8am this morning and was picked up at 1pm. He was there 5 hours. My dog is small, and only weighs 14lbs if that. That means they waited until last minute to groom him. I know they have other animals to groom as well, but if youre overbooked you need to stay open so that the job is done right and no animals get hurt. My dog was crying when he came home. I will NEVER go to them again.

According to the reviews, I decided this place would be a great place to bring my boyfriends dog to be groomed although it was a bit pricy, but when I picked her up (which was at closing time bc I didn’t receive a call to come get her so I called in as I was starting to get worried) she’s been acting completely different. Lethargic, depressed, skittish and scared. Everyone has noticed this change in attitude and I’m unsure of what happened with her there but I will not be bringing her back. Also the groom was $100 and there is uneven patches on her and one of her nails was clipped down to the quick. I don’t care about the uneven hair what really upsets me is her change in demeanor and how upset she’s been since.

My dog Moe ( yes, after the three stooges) is a Pharaoh Hound, kindve high strung, but he looked good and was not nervous or in a hurry to leave, so we feel that they took very good care of Moe and will continue to use the Critter Cottage and recommend them.

Critter Cottage in Englewood did a very nice job grooming my daughters Shih-Tzu, Zorro. He seemed very happy after he came home.

Critter Cottage does an exceptional job! I have a year and a half old golden retriever, he is a scaredy cat but loved getting groomed and bathed by Jessy at Critter Cottage.When I picked him up he looked like a stud and smelled like a candle! Not to mention, his adorable fall bandana.The service is great, the people are welcoming, and the cost is extremely affordable.

Lots of pet services here. Training, grooming, bursting and day care which is what we used. Country setting and a variety of critters including peacocks, emus, horses as well as Dads and cats. Friendly folks who care about the critters.

Day care & over nights have beena blessing when we are here for the winter. At my age my terrier needssomeplace else to get all the exercisehe needs. Very nice people and caregiven to my dog is great.

I called and left a message as we are new in area and looking for a place to take our girl when needed. I guess they dont want new customers because after two weeks no one returnedy my call. Maybe thats a good thing!

Was going to board my dog here for a week. Did a one day stay period and he came home smelling just horrid! Also was told they dont let the dogs interact and they let them out into a yard area twice a day on thier own, no interaction or stimuli from the staff. The rest of the time its locked in (apparently) smelly kennels. I ended up taking my dog to a different place that they let them play with other dogs and when I picked him up after a week he didnt stink. I didnt rate 1 star because I hear they do board lots of different animals and I cant speak for that, only one of the 2 people I spoke with was rude the other was a nice young lady.

I have only used Critter Cottage one time. Took both My pit bull and savannah there. I forgot to mention about the cats handicap and they called me immediately upon noticing his funny walk. They seem to be on top of the animals and when we picked them up they both were their regular happy. Neither of them were stressed or over excited to go home. Which I have experienced at other boarders. Will use again.
