Dr.Rovner and his staff are wonderful, caring and very professional from day one they explain step by step for every procedure. Making your visit comfortable I’ve been to several other doctors but by far they are the BEST!!! When I first saw Dr.Rovner I could barely walk or needless to say get out of bed nonetheless try to play basketball with my 4 year old grandson or even pick him up Dr.Rovner suggested fusion surgery after serous consideration and the words from Dr. Rovner “ I will fix you “ I felt assured and confident. Edison staff is great, quickly scheduled appointments, in and out for appointments. I think the most I’ve had to wait was 10 minutes. Just had my lumbar discectomy, dr rovner was great like always. Highly recommend.

Hello Im Jon sievers; My problem was my lower back, the sciatic nerve wasaffected, the doctor did minor surgery on my disc and shaved the ruptured disc, I left the hospital the same day. Now healing, I feel so much better, No Pain!!!!Thank you: DR Rovner

He is knowledgeable, patient, listens intently, and explains everything in detail yet with easy to understand concepts. He gives a variety of treatment options, and listens to the patients preferences, as well, in making an action plan.Finally, the office manager, Diana, was so organized, efficient, and sweet in scheduling me for emergency surgery that I felt that my whole visit, from start to finish, was a most pleasant experience, considering the circumstances and pain I was in. I highly recommend this entire group.

I see Dr. Montero and she is amazing!!! She really takes her time to hear you out and doesn’t ever rush the appointment. She’s super friendly and has helped me so much! The office staff is also amazing! So nice and everything is done quickly and efficiently.

I’m grateful for 3 epidurals in the past 3 months, which did relieve some pain and restored some movement from sciatica, but I’m still in bad pain. I’m now turning to Dr. Rovner from Progressive Spine & Orthopedics to help get me better with a microdiscechtomy. He seems very thorough, looking at my MRI scans, and conducting an EMG test of his own to pinpoint the source of irritation on my sciatic nerve. He’s very attentive and shows a caring personality. Easy to talk to, and shows his expertise in this field. I feel very confident about his diagnosis, and feel like I’m in good hands. His office staff is top notch as well, professional, and showing compassion and empathy for patients in pain. I hope to follow up on this review in a few weeks with results from my surgery.

Dr Rovner did my spinal fusion surgery 11 days ago. I am happy to report that while I am still recovering from the surgery, the pain which I had been suffering from for quite some time appears to be gone. The staff at Dr Rovner’s office are professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. A special thank you to Diana and Meg for all of their kind and outstanding service. My entire experience from the initial consultation to surgery and post surgery has been outstanding. The best decision I made regarding my back pain was to see Dr Rovner. I am looking forward to living without the back and leg pain which I have endured for too long. I would recommend anyone who is suffering with neck or spinal issues to get a consultation with Dr Rovner. I cannot imagine having a better overall experience.

I used to work for a pain management office for many years and our practice referred some of our patients to Dr. Rovner who maybe in need of spinal surgery. And through all the time that he had been seeing our patients, I had witnessed that, not only Dr. Rovner was an excellent surgeon and an expert in his field, but he was also a dedicated and compassionate physician with a very down-to-earth bedside manner. He also presents surgical options to his patients and guiding them to make informed decisions on how to go forward with more invasive treatment. Progressive Spine and Orthopaedics has got the most professional staff Ive ever seen in a private clinic. The appointment is always on time (youre in after 10-15 minutes, max) and the doctor actually listens to whats bothering you. 5 stars from me!

This past April has been 10 years since I had my spinal fusion with Dr. Rovner. At 10 years ago Dr. Rovner was fairly new in the trade. I will never forget how well he took care of me and the great interest he took. He was always very professional, upfront, and caring. I would recommend this doctor to anyone I know with back or spine issues. After 10 years, I feel great and the only issues I have are the ones he warned me about as far as Having a spinal surgery at such a young age of 28.

Couldn’t walk or stand for longer than 10min because of pain and numbness. For a 46 year old it was very unnerving. I came to see Dr Rovner, the staff and the dr were amazing. Everything was explained. Had my surgery with no issues. Within two weeks after surgery was walking 3 miles a day. I have been to both offices, and the staff in both are phenomenal.

6 months ago, I had to undergo a complicated spine surgery. Luckily, I picked dr. Joshua Rovner for the task. I can honestly say that he made my life much easier. Thanks to him, I can walk and move like normal. Definitely the recommended spine surgeon if you live in NJ.

Ive had problems with my back / spine ever since I was a kid. Dr. Rovner is a caring individual: over the years, hes helped me to alleviate the pain and move on with my life. I wholeheartedly recommend Progressive Spine and Orthopaedics to anyone with spine issues.

I had surgery on a Friday. The pain medication that was ordered took two days before the office filled out the forms for insurance approval. Insurance initially denied the medication so I called the office and was told no one was available and they were closing soon so someone would have to contact the insurance contract the next day. This is now 5 days post operative without adequate pain relief. It has been excruciating, I can barely get out of bed and I cry in pain all day and night. Neither the surgeon nor the PA has called and have done nothing to attempt to relieve my pain or work with the insurance company to get it approved.I am not being treated as a person, the surgery is done and apparently they feel their job is done as well. I am in the medical field and would never allow a patient to suffer so severely. Care does not end when the incision is closed, care requires that you take care of the patients post-operative needs as well.

Look no further than Dr. Rovner. From his friendly and attentive staff to his bedside manners, Dr. Rover is the best of the best! I am 28 years old and was rear ended at a high speed, which in turn left me with 2 herniated discs on my neck (C5 + C6). Dr. Rover performed a 2 level Mobi-C disc replacement at Hudson Medical in Secaucus, NJ. Additionally, my incision was closed with a minor plastic surgery stitch, just goes to show you this doctors attention to detail. Following my surgery, my shoulder pain, tingling and numbness were gone! I went back to work (driving 1 hr. +) two weeks after the procedure. The only discomfort is some expected site pain which will pass over time. If you want to improve your quality of life, be sure to see Dr. Rovner, I highly recommend him to anyone that is experiencing pain.

In my 39 years of existence, I have never met a more empathetic and brilliant staff. The nurses, PA, and Dr. Rovner are as good as it gets when it comes to the spine. Originally, I was given a false diagnosis by one surgeon at NYU, and told by another surgeon elsewhere that nothing could be done for my condition. The neck/back pain I was experiencing had gotten so bad that upon hearing nothing could be done I honestly contemplated taking my own life.. However, by some miracle, I decided to go get one last opinion at Progressive Spine upon reading the stellar reviews. Needless to say, he operated on me within a week (two level cervical fusion). Long story longer, Its been 6 weeks since my surgery and I feel great! I Can even start exercising again! I know this was kind of a long post, but Dr. Rovner and his staff saved my life and I am forever and ever grateful! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

Im so grateful Im feeling great and the surgery was less invasive and a super success. Anyone with coccydina and all has failed I recommend Dr. Rovner for your surgery recovery 2 weeks. No infection no pain killers. Feeling blessed that he did the surgery.

Dr. Rovner is both pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. My mother required complicated spinal surgery to fix another Drs botched efforts and he was able to walk us through the risks and potential outcomes in a more than satisfactory way. He is also one of the few doctors that has access to some state-of-the art robots.He is easy to work with regard to complex insurance matters and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

A bad experience.

Dr. Rovner is wonderful! Besides being thoughtful and compassionate by taking his time to answer my many questions, he is quite qualified - you can tell he knows what hes talking about. His referrals to Excel PT in Hackensack have also been so helpful. Hes the best!

I’m out of hospital for three days. Dr Rovner skillfully performed a difficult lumbar operation called an ALIF. I finally am free from the nagging pain that tortured me for the last five years .I wasted years on quack doctors in pain management who cared more about their business and profit than my health. I feel lucky to have met Dr Rovner. He read my MRI and confirmed my diagnosis. His was consistent with the opinions of five other surgeons all of whom I dismissed for one good reason or another but I knew he was my man immediately. He’s a smart cool guy who’s real good at doing what he does and I recommend him to anyone. You’ll know when you’ve met the right guy when it’s time. I had herniated my disc in February and put off going to a doctor for about a month and then I initially went to another surgeon before going to Dr. Rovners office. The first doctor I went to pushed my initial consultation back two weeks and then another two weeks after my first meeting. I was in a lot of pain so I reached out to Dr. Rovners office, they set me up with an appointment the very next day. Friendly staff and well educated, they actually care about their patients. Dr. Rovner scheduled surgery with the first appointment available. I had complications and the surgery was put on hold, he put my safety first and foremost. Again, this office actually cares about their patients and their needs. It is refreshing after dealing with many doctors offices that seem to just look at patients as a paycheck. I am currently 2 weeks post surgery and I have zero pain. The surgery was a microdiscectomy of my herniated disc between L4-L5. I had constant sciatic pain which drove me to surgery and I didnt get any shots. I have had sciatic pain in the past and this time it was almost unbearable and felt like the pain would come back after the cortisol wore off. I am pleased I went with surgery because I feel like a new person.
