Jenny Thorson did such an amazing job on my hair a month ago! I received a terrible, uneven haircut from another salon and she was able to fix it up for me and give me the original haircut I wanted. Pricing was reasonable and everyone was friendly. I will definitely be coming back! :)

One year since moving to Elk River and one year since my last haircut. Needless to say finding a new cosmetologist is nerve-wracking. I called Avalon Salon and decided to take a chance on a newer stylist named Heidi. She was AMAZING. I hardly had to describe what I wanted / needed and she was on it. Great conversationalist, modern style, and down to earth. I left knowing I needed to book my next appt because the world will soon also know the awesomeness of Heidi and I wont be able to get in 😂

Celene has been my stylist at Avalon for years and does fantastic work! She takes the time to listen to my wants, review photos with me, and offers suggestions. The end result is always amazing! She does not disappoint! Not only is Celene a great stylist, but Avalon Salon offers a great atmosphere, as well as other wonderful employees. I always leave there feeling especially cute and confident. I recommend Celene to all my family and friends.

My hair cut was alot shorter then I had wanted (but it will grow lol) but I love the colors. Super nice employees. Beautiful salon. The building inside is absolutely gorgeous. Prices seem to be very reasonable compared to other salons.

I just moved to the Elk River area and have had some bad experiences in the past. Miranda colored and trimmed my hair and did an AMAZING job! Not only does she do amazing hair she is so sweet! Could not recommend this place more!

Tamara is amazing, she makes you feel comfortable and the overall experience is pleasant. My balayage turned out amazing just in time for my wedding!! I have been to Avalon for hair and massage. It has a welcoming and trendy atmosphere. I want to highly recommend Mandi the massage therapist. She is professional and skilled at what she does and both times I have had a massage there it was awesome! The front desk is friendly and helpful too. I will be a returning client for sure!

I would highly recommend if going here to avoid going to Celene Moran. She’s very rude and snobby, and does a very poor job of cutting hair as well as even being a nice person. Very rude and very unprofessional.

Avalon Salon in Elk River has been a nice surprise. The staff is very welcoming. Corinne was referred to me by my son. I had to find a new stylist after many years . I just had my 3rd visit with her. She listens to my ideas yet considers my hair and givesc suggestions. This last visit she suggested a eyebrow treatment ( which I’ve not done in many years) thanks Corinne love my eyebrows and feel very good about our plan moving forward with some color goals for my hair! A mother has to take notice when her son says.” Mom you look gorgeous today !” His comment after seeing me after my last visit with Corinne❣️

As someone who normally avoids social situations and rarely gets pampered, I have never felt so comfortable and welcome. The best massage Ive had, first/best facial. Every single person was wonderful and I felt they genuinely cared about caring for me, and I left feeling relaxed and happy to have been there and met them.

High end stylists and atmosphere... Friendly small town attitude. Always feel welcomed here... Front desk staff top notch. Many levels of experience for the stylists, but a little tough to get an appointment with the more experienced ones... But well worth it. Massage therapist is just wonderful as well.

The stylists are educational and do excellent work. They really work with you yo get your best looking cut for you and your style. A great selection of products. Highly recommended.

I have been a loyal customer of Xanns for many years getting spiral perms for my long hair. She does a fantastic job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend her and Avalon Salon. They are conveniently located in downtown Elk River and the Salon is just beautiful. There is always a friendly face greeting you as you enter while offering you a soda or glass of water. Make an appointment with Xann or one of their other skilled professionals. You wont be disappointed.

I have been a client for almost ten years and would never let anyone except Rachel Hanson cut and color my hair. I receive tons of compliments on not only my color but my style everywhere I go and that is all Rachel. When I first started I had super short hair and she has taught me now that it is grown out how to style and maintain it. Her first priority is always healthy hair and customer happiness.. She keeps up with all the trends and always makes me feel refreshed and new! Kudos to her and Tamara the owner for an excellent experience.

Great place for all your beauty wants/needs...Really they are so friendly and comfortable to be with. Rachel does my foils and cuts and I am always eager to go show off my hair after my appointment. When you are happy (always) she is happy. Also have seen Tamara (owner) for foils and cut and always very happy! Could not be more pleased! If you want the greatest massage you have ever had this is the place to go! Wonderful, healthy, and relaxing. A feeling of well-being will take you over!

I love this place. Everyone is friendly and I love my stylist Miranda. The product selection is pretty broad and the bathrooms are decent. The only thing I dont like is written they forget to offer me tea. That stuff is awesome and I enjoy relaxing every time I go in.

If I ever move out of the area, I would make the drive just to come out to Avalon Salon- I have been seeing Tamara for years and I wont let anyone else touch my hair! I recommend Miranda to everyone - she has never steered me wrong with my hair, is super friendly, and fun to talk to. She almost always greets me at the door, even if Im early shes ready for me. Ive had my makeup done for a wedding here before and they did a wonderful job (I believe her name was Gabrielle?). I would suggest this place to anyone, theyre always super friendly and cheerful.

Last week was my first time at Avalon, which is a gem in downtown Elk River. I had the pleasure of sitting in Tarins chair. A little side note IM VERY PICKY about my hair. My hair is naturally dark and I color to a light blonde. She was able to lift my hair to my desired color with no gold or damage. Her shampoos where a mini spa session AMAZING!! She also did my tape-in extensions and they are flawless and the lowest price in town.. highly recommend Tarin!!
