It was ok, had better experience at location in Andover. Will use for convenience but not preferred. Will try again and reevaluate if experience improves. I needed to use rest room and was told closed due to Covid. That is fine but I arrived on time and still had to wait about 20 minutes.

NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS ONLY BASED ON THE ONLINE SCHEDULING.It doesnt give you specifically times, just an estimated wait time. Quick and easy to schedule, but very vague. So my estimated wait time was 100 minutes. So thats an hour and 40 minutes.Not even 45 minutes later, I get a message that says your appointment is in 15 minutes. I was COUNTING ON THAT TIME because I had to get a ride there.They DONT give you an option of hey, we can get you in sooner, would you prefer that, or your original time? No, they just scoot you down to an appointment time thats IMPOSSIBLE to make if youre counting on the extra time to GET THERE.In short, I had to cancel my appointment, and Im gonna have to reschedule when I arrive, wait in the sun from either 2 minutes to 2 hours, cause their scheduling time is unreliable and inconsiderate.The haircuts are good though.

Marissa, that cut my hair at the Great Clips in Elk River on 2-21-20 at about 2:30pm, Salon #0188 was awesome! She was so talented and very professional. She also was very friendly and funny. We connected right away and it was a very pleasant experience. Kudos to Marissa! Thank you so much! She did an excellent job on my hair. I will be back for sure.

Called yesterday to make sure my 7 y.o. daughter will be able to get her hair cut for donation (wigs for kids). Was reassured that they can do it. Came in today, waited 50 minutes in line just to learn they they dont even have rubber bands and wont be able to cut it for donation. It felt like me and my daughter were annoying the hair lady who was working with us. I understand, everything can happen, and maybe they do a great job with other services, but my experience wasnt so excellent today.

Hands-down the best experience Ive ever had at a salon! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to help me choose a cut, and gave me a bunch of useful tips in caring for my soon-to-be colored hair. Marissa in particular is a total rockstar and went out of her way to make my visit a great one. Unfortunately I dont live anywhere nearby, but Im definitely going to be coming back the next time Im in town.

Seriously the best. Marissa needs a raise. I brought my 3 year old in and she did a fantastic job and kept him entertained the whole time. I wish some of the other Great Clips were as good as Elk Rivers, they could learn from them!

Im always perfectly happy to get my hair cut here. The staff always seems friendly and are fun to talk to. The part I really......really.......really dislike, is the online check in. I really dont want an app on my phone to be able to get on the waiting list, but if you dont, you show up to two people in the lobby, but youre number 10 on the list. Ive actually left before because Ive walked in to an almost empty lobby to see Im an hour down the list. Not very awesome :-(

Always get a great cut here! All of the different stylists I have had cut my hair have been really friendly and done a great job at a fair price. Always clean and a nice atmosphere. Make sure to check in ahead of time as it gives a good guide on when stylists will be available.

Got to the store to get my haircut when they told me to be there.., then I get told I have to wait about another 15 to 30 minutes🤬🤬.. This is the third time this is happened I’m done with this place.. Go to sport clips they do a much better job...

I tend to be a one person customer, but everybody who attends to me here does an excellent job, unfailingly. The smart phone reservation system allow one to register remotely, and it counts down to the appointment. Unfortunately it sometimes also counts up, which is frustrating when one plans a perfectly on time arrival, only to find oneself waiting another ten minutes or so. I know... First world problem, right? But if one has a lot to do to that day then a squirrelly reservation system can make it challenging to coordinate with, say, the rest of ones family.Excellent haircut, though, and at the end of the day thats what matters most.

We checked in on line, were there before our appointment time, someone else was there in line In front of us who said they had 12 minutes to go for their wait time and they took them before us. What’s the point of checking in on line when they don’t even take you at your appointed time?

They are very hard to deal with especially with making any exceptions regarding small children and their masking policy. 2 and under dont need to wear one but a 3 year old there are no exceptions. Give me a break. I will never go back!

Checked in online - 32 minute estimated wait. Arrived and waited 40 minutes. Asked for an update on time and was quoted another 13 minutes to accommodate 2ppl ahead of us. So much for the convenience of the check in app. 32 minutes was now more like an hour. We ended up without service as 53 minutes did not work for us due to other commitments. Had the check in app been accurate we would not have wasted our time checking in or driving there. When we asked to cancel our place in line we were informed there was nothing they could do. Poor Customer Service experience.

My three sons and I have been getting haircuts at Great Clips, in multiple states, for years. We have been going to the Elk River store for more than 4 years. And we won’t be back. Something changed - now it is constantly severely understaffed and never friendly. We just walked out after waiting while 1 stylist (just one) was available to cut hair. I’ll take my money somewhere else.

Went in, was told it would be a fifteen minutes wait. Sat patiently. People moved, the person next (two ahead of me) was an online check in and not there when called. They take the person just ahead of me. Just as the woman was coming up to get the next person, the online check in shows up and they take him back. I waited for almost 40 minutes while an online check in missed his but still got in ahead of me. Horrible business model, horrible staff. Do not go here.

Why would the app let me check in and give me 37 min wait to when I get there you say you just closed. Dont let me check in then before I drive up there to be turned away when Im there for the time they said to get there ugh. Annoyed.

I took my daughter here on Monday. Worst experience ever. The lady was lazy and rude. She didnt take the time to wet through and comb out my daughters hair. When I said something she was a bit rude and acted like age knew what she was doing. The haircut was horrendous. If your to old and lazy to do your job then find another one. I could of cut her hair better and had to actually fix the spots she missed combing out properly. I am disgusted and she should be fired. If you cant do biracial curly hair...go home and retire hag.

This was my first time here and i didnt know about the app and i never knew i had to check in. When the lady told me this she was very rude about it. So the service sucked and im never going here again.😡😡
