Went in for a cleaning. Rose at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming. Dr. Dennihugh was amazing and I would highly recommend making an appointment with him. I have also heard great things about Dr. Bita too. All in all, wonderful practice 5 stars.

I’ve always been terrified to see a dentist especially when there’s needles involved. In fact I was once transported to urgent care by the dental staff, due to high bp I was so nervous. The dentist offered me cake, chocolate, soda he thought I was hungry or my blood sugar was low & not sure what to do. I felt so bad for him.At Santee Cottonwood Dental, my new dentist is great he’s the best ever. I wouldn’t lie I was nervous when he did some procedure. I almost asked for a bp monitor but he was very nice, gentle, caring & made sure i’m okay so I was fine. I wouldn’t wanna see another dentist. Thank you Dr. M. Talia ❤️. He is highly recommended. His assistant Rachel is also cool. I believe they’re both new.

Yesterday I went in due to having a chipped molAr. The Dentist said I need a crown. The insurance lady came in with the proposed cost. Even after my insurance, I still needed to pay $725.00. I didn’t have an issue with that price exactly. My issue is that I am on short term disability right now and have not received my disability payments and my earnings are reduced. When I explained why I cannot pay that much right now the insurance lady told me I could pay half immediately and remainder at delivery of crown. I said I thought I could come up with the first half that day, she was really curt and demanding and said “what about the balance in three weeks?” As if she did not trust me. The remaining interactions between the two of us went downhill quickly from there. I got up and went to front desk and told her I have to wait on treatment until my disability comes in. She was very rude to me the entire time. I am a returning patient and like the staff and dentists but I do not know where this lady got her people skills from. Wherever it was she did not learn much.

I went to these people for the first time on August 7, 2014. The secretary was a little snotty but that really didnt bother me. The dentists aide, who took all the x-rays was an absolute GEM!!!! Beautiful young lady with a very nice personality. Made me feel so relaxed. Now, she is why I gave it one star. The dentist came in. My first impression of him wasnt a good one. He started examining my mouth and poking around with his sharp rod. When I flinched, indicating to him to back off a little, his response to me was, That shouldnt hurt. HOW IN THE HE** CAN HE TELL WHAT HURTS TO ME?? He stated that I needed some work done (of which I already knew) and said that the secretary in front will give me the prices to take care of the items. The first thing she said was, Okay, are you ready to make an appointment to handle this? Without handing me the price sheet! I emphatically said NO!! I want to see the prices! After she showed me, I declined and asked her to email me my X-rays, along with the cost and I will decide later. She said that she would. However, as of today 08/09/14, she has not sent me ANYTHING (even after repeated request). Do yourself a favor and find another dental office that will treat you as a human being.

This isnt the fanciest place around, or the most modern, but the dental work is great and low cost and they dont try and say you need more than you really do. Honesty is a great policy

I am 99% sure the dentists name was Dr. Nordquist. Very disappointed and lost my trust in him. I have been at Cottonwood dental for about 3 years and the prior dentist was great. I went and saw Dr. Nordquist at the end of February and had pain in my upper left so I asked him to check it out. He visually examined it and all my teeth telling me I had beautiful teeth. While examining me he continued to tell me about his research on diseases that oral health are associated with which o am aware of. He kept pushing for me to buy a water pick and told me not to bother flossing because in his opinion it just moves things around. He also said mouthwash was useless. I was a little thrown off by this but I figured it was just his opinion. This last Sunday my mouth was causing me so much pain that I had to go to an emergency dentist. That dentist also did a visual exam and found I needed a root canal. He then took an x-ray to confirm. Not wanting to pay emergency pricing, I went to a 3rd dentist on Wednesday where they not only confirmed the root canal, but also found 2 additional cavities AND a spot on my teeth with lots of build-up which she stated should not be there 3 weeks after a cleaning. ALL of these things Dr. Nordquist and his hygienist missed and are now costing me more money than should have been necessary had he caught the trouble spot when I asked. I do not trust the dental staff at this office and highly caution getting your dental work done here.

The Santee Cotton Wood Dental clinic is the worst dental clinic I have visited in my life. The hygienist was not well experienced in cleaning my teeth. Also, the front desk/ medical records personnel are incompetent and disrespectful, it seems they dont know what they are doing. However the doctor was nice and friendly.

I completely agree with the previous reviewers. The management of this dental office is the worst I have seen in a business. Rude, confrontational, and trying to pressure you for additional services that may or may not be needed. Stay away.

After reading the reviews. I will not be going there. Delta Care referred me to them. Im glad we live in a world with reviews. Clearly, by all the bad reviews, that continue to be posted, they dont care and are not the dentist for me.
