I have been involved with the Childrens Home for over 10 years, and am always inspired by the good work they do to help change the trajectory of the lives of the kids and young adults that find themselves there due to unfortunate circumstances. If your not familiar with them, I encourage to reach out and see how you can participate in driving positive change in our community. Thanks Anita, Dan and Team for the amazing work you are doing.

Im currently working on a video regarding my time here. I know the reviewer Jeff Johnson, Im not sure if he remembers me but I know exactly what hes talking about. We were there together in 2004. There is a division between administration & houseparents. They will hire anyone off the street (I worked in the office after school so I can tell you some things). Theres too much to type so I will link my video when available.

As a child i spent time in this place. It was hell. I ended up with multiple trips to wilson area hospital for head ct scans after being knocked out by a staff member. His name was tony. Big muscle builder type of guy. These five star reviews are a joke. This place was literally hell for me. There were some staff members who seemed like they cared. Jason and josh being 2 examples. But the majority of the staff was neglectful and covered up the abuse that the children there with me suffered. A girl literally hid under the underpass on the path to the main building for 3 weeks hoping to not be found. Afriad of the people supposed to be taking care of her. These accusations can be proven as there is a paper trail. This place was despicable. The worst experience of my life. The only part that made being there bearable was sneaking off to the canal park and watching the animals. Absolutely horrible.

Once Upon a Time this was my home it was rough at first but then it became home everyone around me became family sometimes I look back and I wish I had one more chance I know I will start from the day I went there and I would have made the best of it because I had a great support team and people who truly love me and at the time me being such a young Girl very confused and not understanding why Im in this place scared wanting my family shutting everyone out and the biggest thing at such a young age was depression I was feeling like everyone was against me and everything was my personal problems and was so hurt so I didnt know how to appreciate my surroundings because I felt so betrayed by family just putting me away and giving me two people that I did not know... But lorrdd❗❗❗ these people became everything to me❗❗! Im 25 I went to Childrens Home of Easton when I was 13 I I believe i left at the age of 16 and till this day I still have this great support team that talks to me call me everyday looks for me and just wants to see me succeed in life and just wants the best for me I have siblings that I still keep in contact with that arent blood but blood couldnt make us any closer Im very grateful that God gave you the opportunity to experience closure experience love experience loyalty experience family❗❗

I was there for about 5 years and then I burned down one of the smaller buildings because I was being abused by a staff member and I got sentenced to Juvenile life until I was 21 years old. Besides that I loved it compared to my home life.

This is a wonderful place that serves children and has been in existence for well over 100yrs.

Horrible place to work. Kids are bad and staff are worse. The staff provide no help while watching you handle a situation on your own. Kids have no respect for staff and staff does not help to reassure guidance or help with children.

Be aware that this organization is accepting donations from WAEB radio, who support ultra conservative pundits who are racist and homophobic.
