This place is amazing!!! Great spacing with the campsites so you actually feel like you are out there in the woods some where. The lake is beautiful and the trails make the place seem bigger than it actually is. The bath houses were adequate and really clean. So the fact that they didnt have sewer connections was not an issue. There was no 50 amp service but the 30 amp adapter i had was able to run both a/c units and the microwave without an issue. The dump stations were conveniently located on the way out and had water hoses to rinse down if needed. I believe this is a new favorite for us now.
Definitely my favorite loop of the rolling view campground as it is closest to the pier and easy access to the best view in the TRIANGLE. The Black Rock is an all time favorite chill spot and secret hide away for those who are up for a little hike and exploring the terrain. A lovers lair. A stargazing paradise. Good luck looking for it - follow your heart ;)
I stayed in B10 for a week. The space was almost level it took 25mins to set up..It was quite, shaded, and within walking distance to pier, bath house. I will stay her again when in North Carolina.
Nice campground well maintained beautiful scenery spacious sites bath house kept clean will camp here again
Beautiful campground with a lake, playground, and level pull through site.
As a campground its nice. Some spots right on top of others. Other spots spaced out. Good shade from trees.
Rolling View campground is a wonderful and peaceful place to camp. Its convenient to many things in the triangle area. Its a good halfway spot for us to rest for a few days when we head from the mountains to the coast of NC/Va. We bring Kayaks with us most times and always enjoy using them on the lake.
We stayed on site B17. The site is nice. The campground overall is a nice place to spend some time. The site appears quite level but it does have a long sloping grade. It took an additional 4 of shimming to level our 38 ft class A on the lake end. Just be prepared with additional pads. Otherwise, its a nice campground.
A great campground for families. Fishing pier at loop B and playgrounds. Kids can ride bikes and play in the woods. The bath house is clean. There is a marina nearby where ice and ice cream can be bought. There is also a swim beach in the same area. I would highly recommend this campground. It is one of my favorite in NC. Loops A and B have water and power hookup and most sites are level and in the shade. If you have kayaks, canoe or motorboat there are plenty of places to launch.
Nice sites that are fairly level. The sites are spaced fairly far apart and even in winter there are enough trees to give a feeling of privacy. Clean bath house, although a bit old. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay. Was quiet and comfortable. Nice big open common green space if you are into astronomy. Gate to A,B and C loops isnt locked at night so you can come and go as you please. If you need firewood ask when you check in. They had it available for $5 a bundle.
Fantastic retreat in the Carolina pines. We stayed a week and it was very serene even though jets from RDU would fly over. Still the campsites are nicely carved into the pine Forest and creates a very nice camping experience.
This is our 3rd Time visiting this camp. We love it. Site are so spacious and love the view. Sometimes we see deer, its very relaxing.
Really awesome! You just got to find the spot that works for you!!
Secluded feel but neigbors nearby. Water access, beautiful camping site and very affordable.
Stayed in the fall. Cool, very peaceful. Site b29 has a good view of the water and close to the walk down to the pier. Quiet, and the bathhouse is well kept and warm for those who like it that way. I would recommend this campground again and will be staying here again.
Very quiet campground with an excellent group of rangers and maintenance personnel. Nice large lake for boats, jetskis, fishing and swimming. Lots of deer on the property. Great place for a weekend or longer
Great place to stay went for our wedding anniversary and had a great time will for sure be back everything was great look forward to coming back very soon stayed at loop b B2
Nice campground. Smaller loops keep you near bath house. There is a small park for kids. All the kids caught fish by the fishing pier. Beach was nice but lots of biting ants. Some RDU flights passed over head but not to frequent to be annoying.
Best loop in the park. Very close to water and playgound. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Very nice campground, clean very well organized a great location to fish, swim, etc all good for water activities.come enjoy!
We have visited over 5 times now the camp site are always clean and the people are friendly
Beautiful campground on the lake... well be back! Also the young man working in the entrance booth was a big help to us...
This is a really nice state park, and very clean.
Was there for a graduation so didnt spend too much time in the camper. Seems fine.
Nice camp ground. Washrooms are adequate. The rangers drive around alot.
We camped at loop c the site was very big and clean close to the bathroom.
Quiet, nice place to relax! Love it here!
Always feels clean and safe!
