I often entertain myself walking around the grounds and taking flower pictures while my girls swim. They have a cafe and grow much of the food they use on site alongside flowers. We’ve been spending summers here for many years. Lots of wonderful things about“Jewish For Good”

This place is the best. Great pool, great gym, great challah.

Ive only been inside the cardio area due to the pandemic but Ive had a good experience. The pool is nice looking. They have a lot of machines. They definitely keep up with the cleaning measures which makes me feel safe. Their online sign up works well and Madeline is very helpful.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff, great facilities which hopefully will be fully open soon, group exercise is fun with an enjoyable crowd.

Things to know about the gym: it is blessedly quiet. No music blares and phone usage is prohibited. It is intimate, no bigger than a high school class room. The gym is part of a larger facility serving many other purposes at all times. All the equipment is brand new and well maintained. The professional staff is courteous and attentive. You will see all ages, races and creeds, meaning, you dont have to be Jewish to attend. You have to respect certain customs, but its not a big deal to leave your bacon at home. We have been members for half a decade now, and always been happy. Not the cheapest membership, but certainly one of the best... child care provided!

Took part in Christmas community service project. Facility is very nice. We had a light breakfast before. Giving back to the community was warming. We decorated baffolds for attic of habitat for humanity new homes to welcome the new. Residents

This is the best kept secret in Durham! The latest exercise equipment, excellent fitness classes, outdoor pool, social events, speakers, etc... Its more than a gym. Kid and family friendly. Brand New = Clean and Modern. Friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for a place to work out, meet friends, hang out, get fit, and have fun this is the place.

The JCC really embodies its description as a community center. Everyone weve my on staff is friendly and helpful - and so are the other members. The facilities are easy to use and very clean. A big highlight: the childcare is excellent, not over crowded, and super easy to use.

You dont have to be Jewish to go here. But it helps you fit into your Jew S jeans. If you go to the gym. Or the pool. Love it here.

I enjoy bringing my son here to work on and practice basketball. Very clean environment and the atmosphere is very pleasent. Great place.

We love the JCC! My boyfriend and I moved to N.C. only recently and it has been an amazing way to get to know the community. Gym is small but never crowded and has all the equipment you need. Pool is our favorite place, and the water temp is perfect. Yoga classes are fun too- for all ages! And don’t get me started on their challah- the best I’ve ever had! We now order it weekly. My only complaint is the locker rooms- they are very basic (no shampoo, etc.) and need to be cleaned much more often. Especially during the swim season, the locker rooms can get pretty gross and the floor is always wet and slippery. Otherwise, the J is my favorite place!

They are extremely friendly and have a wonderful kids pool area with shade and spray features. Id definitely recommend it. We arent Jewish and they are very welcoming.

I recently rejoined and was quickly reminded why I left in the first place. I like to swim laps for exercise. However, they only keep one lap lane open for very short hours, which can get crowded. No one is willing to help fix the situation by opening more lanes or extending the hours. They just shake their heads and act like the rules are written in stone instead of caring about helping a member and taking their input into consideration. Basically, whats the point of having a lap pool if most of the time people cant actually swim laps?

Ive been a member now since the JCC opened. Its a great facility that is getting even better as it matures. Im happy that the number and different types of fitness classes have increased. Try Tabada on Wednesday mornings - Its a killer

The Jewish Federation of Durham-Chapel Hill is an extraordinary organization with an amazing staff and an exceptional model of giving / helping those in need! We are very lucky to have them in our community!!!

I have used this facility for approximately four years however, this was the first time I have ever been totally unhappy with the service . The event director was very non responsive via email or phone. Also, the reason for not fulfilling my event date was totally unacceptable . I was so hurt and disappointed with with the way I was treated.
