I came all the way from Michigan (my hair was that bad) to see her because I was recommended to her by a friend who said she was the best, and she is! She also did a couple treatments on my hair and gave me a minor trim. She was totally receptive and listened to my plea not to cut off more than she needed to. I highly recommend London Rayne Salon. Kelsey has completely changed my life with the hair extensions she gave me. I was really looking to add more volume to my hair as I have noticed it thinning this past year. I was so excited that she was able to get me in right away! She provided me with a new hair brush for the extensions and tons of sample products to help keep them in the best possible condition. The products Kelsey sent me home with and the care instructions she provided me have been so helpful in keeping the extensions healthy. I am excited to be able to continue to re use the original row I started with. I do not think I can express enough how life changing having the extensions are. My whole attitude and confidence has lifted since having them put in. I’ve been going to this salon for 2 years and I am very picky with my hair. She’s done my color and cuts. My 17 year old also goes to her and she did an amazing pink and black color. Well it sounds like everyone had a great experience at this salon. Not me. I was looking for a nice ash brown color with some highlights. I got the total opposite of what I was looking for. My hair is brassy and yellow. Worst hair color ever. I also had a little trouble with the on line booking system. I felt as tho I was annoying Kelsey because I had a few questions and struggles. It wasn’t accepting my card for some reason. And it was valid. Who knows. Also. I reached out to Kelsey wondering if she could take another look at my hair. Maybe tone it again ?? She replied by saying she didn’t think she was the right stylist for me and thanked me for trying her. After paying 225.00. Total joke. I asked again for her to take a look or refund me something. Which she did do. Again. Worst experience I’ve had. Totally unprofessional.

Kelsey is absolutely amazing! She completely took my brassy/orangey blonde into a perfect platinum blonde! She took away any bits of orange or yellow and gave me an absolute gorgeous all over color. She was so fun to work with and I cant wait to go back and see her!! If you have blonde hair you must go see Kelsey!! Kelsey is truly a hair magician. I first went to her for a cut/color while in pharmacy school at UMD - my hair was in ROUGH shape after years of harsh coloring from other salons and home products. Kelsey has performed multiple miracles on my hair, from helping me create a beautiful subtle ombre to bringing a subdued purple/blue oil-slick to life. My job has brought me down to the metro area for the past 2 years and I have yet to find a colorist as in-tune with my style and vision as Kelsey. I love Vain salon. The atmosphere is great, very cozy and welcoming. Everyone there is super friendly. Sam is my stylist there, and she is AMAZING! I never really know what I want done, and she is so great at picking colors for me that are beautiful! She will suggest things for me to try, and always has new techniques to use on my hair. My husband also goes here for his haircuts. The women who work here are continuously taking courses to stay current on new trends and products, and that is important to me. I have sent so many of my friends here, and everyone has loved it!Sam also did my hair for my wedding, and it was perfect! Stayed in place all day!

Up until I went to Vain I had not had a professional haircut in 5 years and had not colored it in 13. So you could imagine my anxiety over the matter. Im very happy to report that Kelsy did a fantastic job on my hair.The color was not what I had in mind going in that day but I took her advice and went lighter as opposed to darker and I am so happy I did. It looks so natural on me I even plan to go in regularly now just to keep this beautiful balayage.As for the cut, it has got to be the easiest style Ive ever had. We cut off a lot which wasnt too scary for me as I have gone short many times before. What makes this cut different is that every morning when I wake up all I need to do is brush it and run my fingers through it as opposed to teasing and hairspray. Let me tell you, I look amazing. Even after a long shift at my restaurantSo do yourself a favor and see Kelsey. She is worth every penny.

How awesome is Kelsey at Vain Salon? I drive three hours to come have her do my hair! She is constantly keeping up on her hair education because being a stylists demands keeping up with what is new. She truely loves what she does and it shows! It is easy to book your appointment online and the salon is modern.

Sam is the only stylist that I trust to color my hair. She is a perfectionist and will do her best to give you what you want. Not only that, I trust her to give me the cut I want. She gives great advice and suggestions about what best compliments you. She is open to trying new hair styles and colors, which is great for me because I am always up for trying new styles.

I have always driven by Vain and wondered what was inside - it turns out extremely helpful, talented, and personable stylists! After two other salons in the Duluth area were unprofessional and rude to me regarding setting up a bridal party Sam at Vain was AMAZING. She has been prompt with communicating, shes fun to talk to while getting your hair done, and your hair looks great :) The inside is clean and looks great also! I highly recommend Vain Salon.

Horrible horrible experience. I went in with blonde balayage and left with spotty orange bad balayage and fried ends. I managed to leave the salon darker than when I went in. I even showed the stylist a picture of my own hair and it is still messed up. I am so upset.
