I came across this hidden gem back In January & it has been the ultimate pleasure ever since. Not only was I greeted upon arrival I was then greeted by each & every stylist in the shop as my stylist took me to her chair. Finding professional PLEASANT, LICENSED stylist in this area is non existent. I was so in awe with the service I received along with how comfortable they made me feel, I was passing out flyers & recommending this place to everyone I knew. I am like many others new to Georgia & it’s really hard finding a 10 star quality salon like this, they did not disappoint. Not only that I’m comfortable enough to go to any other stylist if my stylist isn’t available & that’s amazing because I don’t trust everyone in my hair but this is how awesome this entire salon is. They not only focus on healthy hair they also focus on providing a healthy positive environment. Great job ladies seriously!!! Thank you for all that you do! The press express way! I went to she shop as a walkin client I asked Chelsea, the stylist, if she knows how to cut short hairstyles and she sad yes. I told her I wanted my hair cut in a short hairstyle, wanted my hair dye and a relaxer. The cut she gave me is horrible. She doesn’t know how to cut she did a very poor job.. Furthermore, she had no hair color or curling iron for short hair. She had to go next door to purchase the hair color and send someone to Sally’s to get a curling iron. They took too long to come back with the curling iron, so she did the best she could with the curling iron she had. If you are not able to provide a service to a prospective customer just say no. I walked out there paying $200 for her service and was very disappointed.

The interior staff can style. The atmosphere is awesome. I love the staff and owner. This black owned and operated business is my go to, to get fly for every occasion.

Im actually still under the dryer so I have no idea how my hair will turn out. Lol. But the 5 stars is due to me being washed expeditiously as soon as I walked in. No sit right here, no wait 5 minutes, just straight to the shampoo bowl. I know Krissy gonna get my press right, I have no worries. And its chargers by the dryer, omg. I went in for a basic trim and silk press. My hair was cut into a Dora bob and the service took Well over 4 hours. They do not know how to cut/trim here. I left speechless

Shanikia has been the only person I have gone to in the two years of me moving to Georgia and strictly from a review to the consistent experience keeps me coming back. My hair has grown tremendously and I always love my color. The experience always has me relaxed and satisfied with the process of her working her gift.

Updated after my earlier review Shanikia personally reached out to me and we discussed the issues. Her customer service is above and beyond! There was miscommunication and she was so polite, kind, and apologetic. She is very personable. And I really appreciate that she was open to me airing my grievances and even letting me know that she is always welcome to any suggestions for improvement. I am very impressed by her humility and ethics. I will definitely be returning and continuing my healthy hair journey.As stated before the style itself waspretty. The salon is very clean and beautifully decorated. And while there was miscommunication once we went over everything and she went over the video we were able to work through the issue and devise a plan to get my hair back on track. I told her that I was going to revise my review because there was in fact miscommunication and as I previously stated hair grows back and we both want my hair to be the healthiest it can. It really touched me when said I would never ask you to revise it. But I told her I’m going to because to because I was moved by her words and actions to do so. Definitely book your next appointment with Shanikia. She’s absolutely amazing!

My 4th time at this salon, everyone is super nice. Only issue I’ve had is sometimes the stylists are running behind and you end up being there way longer than you intended. Also, my first time with Shanika and unfortunately the flat iron was too hot, she burned me a couple times. But my hair came out great and i appreciate the effort.

I was a walk in to get my hair fixed from a previous stylist and Teaira was great! She was professional, I didn’t have to wait, and she was quick! This was my first visit and I will be returning.

Every stylist here is good at what they do. All the people come in with natural hair and leave out Pressed. I have locs and 3 stylist have done my locs each time they were gorgeous this last time Krissykurls took care of me and absolutely loved my hair. I would definitely be returning to this salon. When I walked in I felt very welcomed, and was greeted with smiles. The staff was uniformed, and my stylist definitely met my expectations.

Tiara did my wash, coloring, “trim” and “ silk press” 2/13/2021 but I wanted blue but it came out green. No biggie but then my ends weren’t clipped enough and it wasn’t silky. I paid $175 with a tip. And when I texted the stylist she never responded. Now my hair is breaking off and I don’t know what to do!! I wish I would’ve never stepped foot in that place. I was 100% natural for 3+ years and the stylist knew that and now I think I might have to start all over. I was NEVER advised to come back in a couple of weeks or anything of that nature. I was just told how to pin curl to keep the little curls she did. I’m taking my braids down that I got a couple of months ago and my hair is just coming with it. The African lady that did them said that there was a shampoo that I can use that will stop the bleaching process. Does anyone know what shampoo?? Please omg I regret letting that lady bleach my hair.

My salon visit was great. Went in with dry ponytail with a head scarf and came out with beautiful, hydrated and bouncy hair that smelled good. The staff was very pleasant. Miss Shanikia did my hair and she did an awesome job. She even got me in before my appointment time. She explained every step of what she was about to do before she did it. This was my first visit to this salon but wont be my last. Thank you Shanikia. I definitely recommend this salon.

My experience was ok but could have been better. There wasn’t a pleasant greeting at the door(felt like I interrupted whatever she was doing on her phone) even though everyone else was pleasant and nice. I arrived as requested but my appointment (color, trim, and silk press) started 30 minutes late. The salon was organized and there’s a lot of space. Love the overhead driers. The music however, was not in the background and had a lot of profanity which I can handle but don’t really enjoy(everybody’s different and that’s cool); it did eventually change to R&B tunes which was better for me. The stylist or assistant who prepared me for my stylist was ok but seemed to be distracted easily by her phone and the music. I needed to ask her to reach a couple spots during the shampoo and rinse. I fought asking but needed to. During the prep my stylist was tending to other things and I didn’t feel like I was a priority as a new client. No one was ahead or directly after me. When I was ready for her, we had a brief but pleasant conversation. I kept getting burned from the iron or the steam which she did apologize for. She did a great job on the trim and color and I did like the style. At check out, she gave me a paddle brush and wrap cap which was a nice gesture and appreciated. Not sure if I would visit again, but I don’t discourage others from doing so. To each their own.

Shanikia is the best! I drive 4 hours round trip to have my hair straightened by Shanikia. My hair has grown so quickly! I have very thick hair, which many stylists run away from. I went in on today, to get my very first press and also custom color for the very first time sense I have been natural, and when I tell you Krissy did her thing she did your thing, this makes my fifth or sixth time going to Krissy and each time my hair gets better and better, She is the real deal you all and she really do enjoys what she does, go ahead and book and appointment with her on today. Today was my first time visiting and Im already hooked on coming back as a recurring client. Shanikia was so nice, friendly and welcoming. My hair is so soft, shiny and has such a cute bounce. She trimmed my ends perfectly and checked on me throughout my visit which shows she truly cares for her clients, new or old.

Nikia and Chelsea were great. They took great care of my family’s hair needs, and we all left there extremely happy. The services were great; the atmosphere was welcoming; and the customer service was super! Hands down, the best silk press I’ve had in years. Our hair not only looks great, it feels amazing.

I brought my daughter there and my she came out ecstatic about her new bob that Krisy did. I came back a week later because I was so impressed. I’m used to going to the Dominican salon but I’m glad I branched out to try Press Express. Mya scratched my scalped so good that I didn’t want to get up. Then Shanikia finished it off with a bomb trim and curl. I highly recommend this spot!! Supreme service, wonderful ambiance, and knowledgeable stylists!

This was my first time visiting Press Express and I fell in love with Stalin’s atmosphere and the incredible service. Shanikia made me feel welcome and took great care of my hair. I took a sewing machine wig making class with Shanika here in Monroe and mannnnnn it was hands down a great class.
