Weve had some really nice ABA therapists over the years. They work with our child to meet his goals. They take data on our child, which the clinician then analyzes, to see progress on goals. Unfortunately, our top notch ABA therapist left in the Fall. She left for college.Weve been asking when Trumpet would replace her. Their response is that we wont be receiving a replacement ABA therapist due to their staffing problems, but rather, they expect the parent to back-fill (replace) the ABA therapist who left for college.Trumpet came to our house today to train us on how to perform the work of an ABA therapist: taking notes (collecting data) on our child, working towards their goals, logging into the Trumpet Behavioral Health website and entering that data.I guess Im confused. We are paying Trumpet Behavioral Health to provide ABA services. They are paid VERY handsomely. Yet, they are now expecting the parents to do the job of our former ABA therapist, and for free?
