My doctor is the best. I always feel so much better after talking and she is so polite and understanding. She always gives her honest opinion to my situations and gives me the best advice. She is always trying to gently push me past my comfort zone and it has helped me tremendously. She is very flexible with scheduling and always gets me in when it’s convenient for me.

Very poor customer service. I really liked my actual care team but the administrative side since the transition from Psych BC to LifeStance has left much to be desired. I was charged $390 without any authorization because You put a credit card on file. When I called the billing department to have them explain the charges and help me to understand what was going on, I was asked to hold on while holding I could hear everything going on in the background, including co-workers joking about a party they had been to. I was a little taken aback, but, no big deal, maybe she is working from home and doing the best she can, I can forgive and understand that. I was told I would receive a call back, I still hadnt received a call back about 5 hours later so I called them. I waited on the phone for another 35 minutes to speak with someone from the billing department, when they answered they were very short with me, I explained again what was going on and apparently my frustration started to come through but instead of trying to reassure me that we would try and work on a solution together I was spoken to as if this entire problem was MY fault. I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to the way that this woman spoke to me in my entire life. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that me and my family members will no longer see anyone within this practice which is a shame I really enjoyed my practioners.

Awful service. The psychiatrist and psychologist that work for LifeStance are great. LifeStance itself is awful. It takes at least 20 to 30 minutes to speak to anyone, just to have a short two minute conversation. While you wait they say you can leave a voicemail to get called back, they never call back. Getting ahold of anyone is just a chore, and when you mention the wait they don’t care nor do they apologize. I’m not one to normally leave a bad review, but when it comes to health services it’s important. Everyone should be treated with care and in a timely manner, LifeStance does not provide that. Will no longer be using their services.

Ive only been attending PsychBC for two visits so far. But, my doctor, Christopher, has been fantastic! He listens to all my concerns, suggestions and treats me according to the best fit for my personal treatment. Hes always on time and I dont feel rushed through my appointments. Im so glad I was able to find this company.

Would love to have given it chance but.... Can only schedule an appointment online which sucks. Cant talk to a live person or ask good questions about the providers. Then on top, They cancelled My daughters appointment with an email... No follow up, no phone call not even an explanation why. Practice is designed for People with mental health issues... This is Only makes those problems worse instead of better. :(

I started going to PsychBC back in 2018 and enjoyed the doctors I saw, but that was about it. There was more than one occasion where I was told I missed an appointment and was charged a missed appointment fee when I know for a fact I had nothing scheduled. I was going to a location close to me and was told last minute that the doctor I was seeing moved to a further location. Since I was comfortable with her, I chose to make the drive. Once I was there, she told me she had moved locations because she didn’t like the smell from the previous one. I had that appointment last October and was told to come back in a year.Well, it’s been a year! I called to make my appointment and was informed that this doctor has left the practice altogether. I would need to be seen as a new patient and therefore have an intake appointment. Fine, I started to set it up. However, the real icing on the cake is that I was prescribed two medications through this doctor, and was informed that I would not be able to get a refill until I saw a new doctor, and the soonest appointment was in December. To confirm, I asked if that meant I had to be off my meds for over a month, and was just told “yes, sorry”. So I’ve now been forced to quit my depression medication cold turkey because nobody thought to inform me that my doctor was leaving (she left MONTHS ago). My refills have run out and I feel worse than I ever have. My withdrawal symptoms are making it nearly impossible to get out of bed and function. During the phone call, the receptionist put me “on hold” and hung up on me. I NEVER got a call back, but am okay with it because I will not be returning to this establishment. You would think that as a business that deals with mental health, they would take it more seriously. Failure to even reach out and inform me that my doctor left and my refills are up has left me with no other choice than to stop the medication that I’ve been dependent on for 2 years. I don’t like speaking poorly of businesses, but this situation was not handled correctly and I’m the one paying for it. I truly hope those who are in a similar situation because of your negligence are able to get the help they need before anything serious happens. Luckily I was able to find a doctor and set up an appointment elsewhere, but anyone who has dealt with needing a new doctor knows that it usually takes time before you can actually be seen. I truly hope nobody wastes their time with this practice anymore or finds another practice before you make the mistake I did and become a patient here.

The wait times when calling are entirely too long. Even when you leave a voice message it takes several hours for them to get back to you.Prescription refills also take a while and the electronic portal system is frustrating. On a good day its manageable but frustrating, but considering its a psychiatric provider these can act as barriers to treatment for those most affected by the very conditions life stance/psych BC is supposed to provide care for.

I waited almost a month for my appointment. I am prescribed Vyvanse 40mg for ADHD. I am in a program called Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions sober living program paid for by medicaid.Their psych doctor gives it to me based on my history of being prescribed 2 Adderall 30XR. i go to Recovery First for the Sublocade 300mg buprenorphine shot every 28 days. I want to stay there, by establish care outside of Lighthouse for my ADHD treatment. The Lighthouse psych doctor claims he cannot raise my dose or change it, or prescribe it to new patients because of new rules & issues in housing with other people. All i wanted was for this Lady Lacey Mehling to put me back on the 2 Adderall 30xr a day so i can go back to work. She then told me i needed to find a dual diagnosis doctor because it is contradicted to prescribe ADHD medications to someone with substance use disorder, which honestly makes 0 sense because i do not have a history of abusing my ADHD medications. I am in good standing with the Lighthouse psych doctor and all my past psych doctors in my entire life. This office could have told me that from the beginning & i would never have went through with this appointment. Now i have to wait and try a new psych doctor that is dual diagnosis. I will still be seeing the dual diagnosis psych doctor for only ADHD medication!! Recovery first is one of the only places in the area that offers the Sublocade shot. This experience really put my anxiety through the roof & crushed my hope of succeeding in life. 😢🥺😡☹️

The provider I saw was wonderful but the customer service side could use some improvement. Firstly, note that unless you have insurance, their services are extremely costly for the average person. And youre not informed of the potential price until after your session. I got charged over half a grand for one session involving med management and initial consultation. When I called the billing department to ask about the exact break down of the price, the representative rudely informed me that they charge based on the subject matter spoken about during your session..huh? When I asked for clarification (is it med management, therapy-related, initial consultation--how did my bill add up to the amount in question?), she spoke to me as if I was asking something profoundly inane and kept repeating herself in a patronizing manner. Needless to say, Ill be looking elsewhere for treatment.

Ive seen two people here, Amy for psychiatry, and Ashley for therapy. Both of them are very easy to work with and talk to and they really listen to your needs and wants within the practice. This is the best care I have received as far as therapy goes, and I have been to a handful of them. Highly recommend to anyone and definitely recommend them to all of my friends, especially for issues surrounding PTSD.

Waited two weeks for an appointment. We live 1 1/2 hours away. While traveling to said appointment we got stuck in traffic. I called approximately 45 min prior to my appointment to let them know the GPS estimated arrival time, and that it was past my appointment time. They said to concentrate on traffic and they would see me when we got there.I called again 10 miles away to inform them how close we were. Received call from them as reaching parking lot that my 15 min leeway time was up and they would not see me. Told them I was in parking lot. They would not see me. Wanted to reschedule. Will not reschedule. I will find an office who puts my mental health before a 15 min time limit.

Only 2 visits in, but so far Psychbc appears to be a good choice for me. The front desk staff has always been helpful and courteous. Dr. Mattern was very extensive in my initial evaluation, taking the time to listen to my concerns that covers many years in our allotted time. She focused on the best treatment to provide some immediate relief for my symptoms. The next appointment she again was very thorough and attentive to my concerns and tweaked my regimen to shoot for continued improvement.

This is the only place I could find a psychiatrist that was accepting new adult patients in the area. I love Nikki McCrackin, she is very helpful and understanding. I see Dr. Shoenfelt, and she is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. She listens to the concerns I have and actively addresses them. Front desk staff (Rachel) was so kind. I got lost and she helped me find the place. Really friendly.I saw Sarah. I needed help with symptoms that were affecting my life severely. I wrote a lot in the new patient forms, and was relieved to know that she listened to me. We talked about what I was experiencing, and she gave me an explanation that made a lot of sense. After going to other psychiatrists who failed to truly listen to me and insisted I was depressed (and of course their treatments inevitably failing) i was at a loss.Happy I gave this place a chance.

My experience with office personnel and providers are always pleasant. The billing representative I spoke with to discuss my billing statement was knowledgeable, patient and professional. The only call out I have is the cost. It would be extremely beneficial if my insurance covered 100% or a majority of the cost associated with each visit. But since I made a decision to work on improving my overall health — and find value in the sessions and service, the cost is something I make an effort to include in my budget.Highly recommend:Jeni Schutte, PsyDNicole McCrackin, PMHNP-BC
