I finally found a dental office I feel totally comfortable with. This office is outstanding explaining your dental needs and addresses your concerns. Being someone that has aniexty going to the dentist the staff puts me at peace. Huge in my book. Thank you staff you are all amazing and appreciate you all!! 5 stars, top notch.

Great place to take a child or adult with severe anxiety about going to the dentist.. Both kids loved the employess and the Dr..Front desk and assistants were great with ppl and so nice and friendly... Very clean and in a nice area... Would def. Recommend to anyone in need of a dentist...

They were great from the first day I talked to them to today with the Dr who took care of my tooth he was very patient with me. he did not get mad at me. I will be going back if needed in the future.

They started on time didn’t have me waiting. Clean , friendly,, quite atmosphere . The doctor made having two different procedures easy & timely.

The dentist and staff were all replaced about a year ago, so the older reviews do not apply since then. Dr. Truong and his team convinced me they needed to drill out all my old fillings and replace them with new ones. Its been more than a month later and it still hurts to chew, even after they tried to adjust it. I do not recommend them. Not worthy of your trust.

Great Staff Quick Service

This practice has gone downhill very fast - Have been going here for years. Dr. C is a fantastic dentist, HOWEVER recent purchase of this business from an outside entity has been a disaster. Clearly profit (not patient) focused on many levels. Overbooking of appointments make for extremely long waiting times. Repetitive x-rays etc., make it clear unnecessary things are being done to overbill insurance. (Two full panoramic scans this past two months) Today, techs working on my daughter were unable to even operate basic equipment. Quality staff from the past are gone and new staff is border-line competent and often rude. Dr C who we have been going to for years is not here much and new help is iffy at best. Diagnoses seem sketchy as required work seems very exaggerated. Really dont think they install any trust...Cannot think of any legitimate reason to continue to go here. Lots of good options out there, but this isnt one. Buyer beware!

I absolutely LOVED having Dr. Calimlim as my dentist! I’m so upset that Emerald Smiles is no longer there anymore and I’ve been trying to find where Dr. Calimlim went ever since the new people stepped in! Does ANYONE know where he went? Or where Veronica, his Hygentist, went? I’m seriously acting like a stalker, but that’s how much I loved going to them for my dental care. Really liked them at firstWorst dental experience of my life they removed a tooth they could have saved but the dentist was out for more money than what was right for me. The assistant likes to play like she is a dentist when her opinion isnt appropriate because she makes diagnosis without qualifications, I could Sue them and get new implants for all my missing teeth however since I may not have long to live that fight isnt worth it, it is sad to be near the end of your life and people are still out to con you to death. They have quickened my demise because now I dont enjoy eating anymore because these outdated partials have left me sad. Please dont use this dentist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE! Total fraud. They told me I had cavities in all my front teeth. I got a second opinion at another practice and it turns out I didn’t have ANY cavities at all! They had me lined up for multiple appointments for absolutely nothing. DO NOT GO HERE.

I will never go to a different dentist after coming to Emerald Smiles. I needed a lot of dental work done, after not going to a dentist in over 10 years because I didnt have insurance. I was never judged for the amount of work that needed to be done. Dr. Calimlim made me feel calm and let me know that we would make a plan to get everything I needed taken care of. The staff was always very friendly, and I never had to wait whenever I was scheduled. Since all of my dental work is now complete, I am no longer afraid to smile, and will continue to go back for routine exams and cleanings.

Got me in very quickly in an emergency. Tv’s in the rooms and doctor eases his patients by telling them how much longer they have to keep there mouths open and being very communicative on what he is doing and why.

Struggled with either 2 or 3 stars. The receptionist could be more welcoming. The office seems clean and pleasant. I’ve been there 3 times maybe and I’ve never had to wait; I don’t think there’s ever been another patient in there at the same time as me. Dr. Calimlim is great! I love that he explains things and counts down to when something like drilling will be over. I have only ever seen one dental hygienist there, and she is the reason I give this dental office 2 stars. She is not very friendly, and as another review said “plays dentist” which is definitely true. I had 2 cavities filled at just one appointment here and Dr. Calimlim did the numbing and drilling, but then stepped away, and the unfavorable dental hygienist did the filling. This confused me because I have NEVER had a dental hygienist do anything like this. As I said before, I have never seen another patient in there at the same time as me, so Dr. Calimlim could have done the whole thing from beginning to end. After getting those cavities filled, my teeth did feel weird and very sensitive after for a longer time than I’m used to (more-so than normal with hot and cold, etc.) I didn’t have this experience with other dentists. Also, when doing a regular cleaning, the only thing that was used to remove unwanted things from the teeth, such as plaque, was a strong water tool. I’m use to other places scraping the tougher spots off as well. I do not think I will be getting my wisdom teeth removed here.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to. I had not been to a dentist in 9 years because of so many bad experiences. I needed a lot of work done and they didnt make me feel bad about it. Every single person who works here is so nice. This is my 4th visit and every time has been awesome! He could use a new receptionist but thats my only complaint.

I recently came here to get a cleaning and some fillings. Everyone was super kind and always at their best. Even though its always a pain (literally) to get fillings, the staff here really did everything they could to make me comfortable. They even go so far as to have a television for each patient to watch, which they can adjust for you to watch while getting worked on. I was surprised at how much it drew my attention away from the fillings! I was done in no time.The doctor was always checking in with me to make sure that I was feeling alright, too. In fact, he is right there doing all the work himself - which made me feel like I was getting the best care possible. (Ive never had a dentist actually do the cleanings - only check it afterwards!) Small, cozy and quiet waiting room with almost no waiting. I highly recommend this office!

I recently moved to Columbus and was looking for a dentist in the area (Which was way more stressful than I would have thought). I was very happy that I chose this dentistry. The office was very clean and modern. Dr. Calimlim was great! He explained everything thoroughly and answered any questions I had. The rest of the team is great as well!Overall this was a very good experience and I would recommend any of my friends or family to go to Emerald Smiles.

I’ve been a patient at Emerald Smiles after moving in the area around 2015. Dr. Calimlim has been the best for any of my dental procedures. He gives me the truth and never make up any lame excuses of dental work that doesn’t need to be done, like several before him has done to me for over 30years.The entire Emerald Smiles team is a wonderful group of professional people. I always feel so relaxed, comfortable, and leave with no to very little pain.Today (June 29, 2018), I had my silver fillings removed and replaced with white fillings. Best dentist Ive had in my life!! I have had extreme fear and anxiety when it comes to dentist. I have had the worst experiences you could think of at other dentist. First appointment when I met Dr.Calimlim and the staff they were so nice. Dr.Calimlim has a calming voice and counts down while he is working on your teeth. He actually tells you what he is doing and why so your not sitting there guessing. He is the best. His whole staff is so nice and inviting. I will never go to another dentist. I thank him and his staff. They have changed my life and got rid of that fear I have with the dentist.

Wish I had read the Yelp reviews (under their old name “Emerald Smiles”) instead of just relying on the google reviews, which didn’t have as many negative reviews at the time I visited. I had a similar experience as the Yelpers—was told I needed fillings for a couple small cavities and went ahead to schedule them though I should have been skeptical. I had been the dentist regularly every 6 months before moving to Ohio and no one ever mentioned cavity, plus—I have never even had a cavity in my life so red flag should have gone off.I filled them the following week and have had pain and sensitivity in those teeth ever since (a year ago!!) even though I went back and they looked at my teeth but said that everything looked fine and I was probably just too sensitive. Put some numbing, desensitizing gel on me and sent me on my way.I must say though, that Dr Calimlim was courteous, polite to a fault, very talkative and explained every step he was taking in laborious detail. I have never had a dentist or doctor be so attentive or meticulous. It was this very nice demeanor that gave me a false sense of security. But since there are several reviews (aside from mine) accusing this dentist of over-diagnosing cavities and then doing a so-so to shoddy job to fix these supposed cavities, patients should hesitate before going through with any recommended dental procedures here aside from a regular cleaning.

I had quite a few dental concerns that I had neglected for years, mostly because I could not afford to take care of them. When I was able to get dental insurance through my new employer, I contacted Emerald Smiles, basically just by chance, so that I could look into these issues. My experience was absolutely great from the beginning! All of the staff is so friendly, and, something that I really appreciated was that I never felt judged for all of the years I had neglected my teeth. I was just given practical advice for moving forward.Initially, Dr. Calimlim put together a plan to take care of all of the issues that were present. We worked together to try to come up with a timeline based on the urgency of each, and what I could afford. In less than two years, I had a series of root canals, crowns, bridges, and fillings done. I have to say, as much as most people dread going to the dentist, I was more excited just to have the treatments completed. The way that Dr. Calimlim performs the dental work, the numbing shots in particular, makes you about as comfortable as you could be.On top of that, Emerald Smiles was flexible with the payment, in that, if I was a little short when it came time for our next scheduled treatment, I was given a little bit of time to pay the balance off. And, they were very friendly and understanding about it.It is evident that all of the staff at Emerald Smiles truly cares about people, and are very skilled at what they do. I would most certainly recommend them, and can think of no negative experience I have ever had with them!

Dr. Calimlim is by far the best dentist in Ohio! He has that family dentist feel. He walks you through what he is doing and why, he is extremely knowledgeable, kind, trustworthy, and the kind of Dentist that makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience! I have tried a cpuple dentists in the Dublin area and felt like they were trying to sell me products and procedures but Dr. Calimlim is not like that at all. He always takes the time to answer all my questions and make sure I have the best dental health. I have recommended all my family and friends to him and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist!!

WOW!!! I finally found a dentist I can trust! Dr. Calimlim is a true professional! He and his staff have warm personalities and make me feel right at home the minute I walk in the door. State of the art equipment. Televisions to watch while waiting for numbing to take effect. And he is absolutely terrific at numbing! I barely feel it! In the past I have had some pretty bad experiences with dentists and put off finding a dentist for a long time. I feel so lucky that a friend of mine suggested Dr. Calimlim at Emerald Smiles. He made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. He told me what the plan was for my mouth (very rare) and what he intended to do on each visit. I feel like I am very good hands. The work he and his staff have done on me so far has been beautiful! Its hard to get excited about going to the dentist, but I look forward to seeing what he will fix next. I had a lot of dental issues and he is being very thorough and the outcome has me smiling again, and hes not even finished yet! Dr. Malvin Calimlim has done the dental work for me and my whole family for years. After each of our first experiences at his office, we immediately knew that he was different and far superior to any dentist that we had been to before.Dr. Calimlim is always gentle and very good at explaining any procedures he is doing, and his findings as he goes. He is also very good at keeping his patients calm, through conversation. Often I was so distracted by what he saying that the work was done before I even realized he started.In addition, Dr. Calimlims dental hygienists, receptionists, and assistants are all extremely friendly and helpful. Ive grow to see Dr. Calimlim and his staff almost as family, and every visit has become something I look forward to instead of something to dread!
