My wife went to see Dr. Richard Bennett to have simple blood work done to check for he low iron issue, she has seen him in the past and he is very familiar with her condition. After drawing her blood and a normal tests of vitals that youd expect with getting your blood tested Dr Bennett and the nurse left the room, shortly after Dr. Bennett return alone and had my wife lie down and without cause or warning he decided to give her a breast examine over her shirt, touched her stomach and then left the room!! Not once did he explain why it was required to feel her breasts and he was alone, and had never done that before n any of her visits. My wife felt terrible and left as soon as possible. She called his nurse while driving home and told the nurse what happened, the nurse confirmed that was NOT normal nor needed for blood work to be done. She told my wife that the office manager Teresa would call her and get this resolved. its been two weeks and ive called twice, my wife three more times and not once did we speak with Teresa or has anyone called us back? This is something out of a horror movie and the office staff wont even address it. We are sill in shock over this!! The office staff has my cell number and we are still awaiting a call. Needles to say we will never visit his office again and neither should anyone else!! Sexual harassment and a cover up? Not good.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bennetts for over 20 years. I am a Type 1 and he has worked with me on how to make my supplies affordable. Worked with me on diets. I feel like I was lucky to get him when I was admitted to the hospital in DKA 20 years ago.

My great grandmother was seen by dr. Richard Bennett before he left alta view hospital. She died from congestive heart failure while under his care. He never gave her any type of diuretic or anything to help pull the fluid out of her body. He didnt think the obvious because he didnt care? No procedure was taken because he did not and does not care.. She was a diabetic and any internal medicine doctor would know that with diabetics, congestive heart failure can be common in those cases. Why didnt you do anything richard? We should have taken you to court and had you charged for what you did.. she drown on her own fluids while enjoying some alone time with her daughter. Her own daughter had to watch her mom be straddled by a nurse as she started compressions.You dont deserve your license and in my opinion, you should be in prison for the crimes you committed. So sad to see the unjust world we live in.. please if you care for yourself or your loved ones, PLEASE find a real internal medicine doctor that will give you the most intensive and thorough care that you deserve. Richard Bennett is not that doctor. He will fail you like he did my great grandmother..
