Very nice facility providing that very much needed care in the Dothan Alabama area. we had to visit a friend in the intensive Care unit and the male nurses there were overlooking this gentleman were of exceptional character and worthy to be acknowledged for their friendliness and overall pleasant personalities. If the rest of the staff is anywhere like these men, I believe your loved ones would be well taken care of. May the Father bless all of you.

This hospital will actually sue you for money you don’t have. You’ll also experience mental illness stigma at the bEhAvIoRaL hEaLtH department. What a joke.

Having stayed at this hospital a few nights with my aunt that had suffered a stroke I wouldnt recommend this hospital. The nursing staff is horrible! Housekeeping may be understaffed so to explain the reason for the dirty linens, dirty floors and overflowing trash cans. Would not myself be admitted to this hospital.

Was here January 2020 and now in February 2021. Theres a difference in staffing. COVID policy restricts to 1 visitor per day. ER let 1 family member go with patient. All visitors out at 6PM, no overnight. Caregivers try, but are sometimes overwhelmed. Lots of nursing students under supervision.

I have been to the emergency alot,due to heart disease.Severe heart disease and other things.My cardiologist was excellent,however,I couldnt really go to a drs.private office with severe chest pain.Dr.Pic,in the e.r.diagnosed me with his expertise in heart attack cases,by listening to the absence of what should have been...luckily he admitted me.A morning heart cath showed two arteries 95%occluded.I had open heart,bypass,a week later.Surgeon,Dr.Johnson performed the successful surgery.I have found sincere,compassionate physicians at Southeast amc...My life has literally been saved several times,after three heart attacks.Dr.Mcdonald has always shown concern for me,along with Dr.Davis,Dr.Jonas,etc.Thank you for being so kind and great at what you do!

The ER staff is rude, inconsiderate, and lack compassion. Kinda like people being sick is inconvenient for them...

I have tried to find appreciation for this hospital over the years. However, recently my mother was admitted for a common surgery and somehow ended up having a stroke. At one point during her stay she was given too much medication. There is absolutely no well thought out Covid policies for admitted patients and family members. No one was allowed to see her at any point moreover no one called to update any family member on her status. In short, go to flowers.

I was seen in triage from a car accident where I was the passenger. The drivers car insurance paid all the bills back in February from a January accident. Since then Ive been fighting to get SEMC to realize the checks were sent and it is a closed account. Now I receive a letter today that SEMC sent me to collections. It is a nightmare dealing with their finance department. Next time I visit a hospital I hope I am dead. Beware to anyone who ever has to deal with SEMC because they will screw everything up and I would never trust them to treat me after this experience.
